Plants possess some desirable characteristics to synthesize recombinant glycoproteins for pharma-ceutical ***,the mammalian glycoproteins produced in plants are somewhat different from their natural counterparts in terms of *** immunogenicity of plant-specific glyco-epitopes is the major concern in human ***,the distribution of N-glycans in different growth phases of tobacco BY2 cells and their immunogenicity in mice were *** was ob-served that the percentage of β1,2-xylose and α1,3-fucose in proteins of growing cells increased and the corresponding protein extracts caused accelerated immune response in *** on this observation,the recombinant erythropoietin in BY2 cells was expressed and characterized,and Western blot analysis showed that the recombinant erythropoietin contained a relatively small amount of plant-specific glyco-epitopes in the early phase of culture *** study may provide a simple but effective strategy for the production of therapeutic glycoproteins with human-like N-glycan structures in plant hosts to avoid a great allergenic risk.

Myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88) is a universal adaptor protein involved in Toll-like receptors and in interleukin-1 receptor-induced nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB) *** this study,a new MyD88 gene(designated as Og-MyD88) was cloned from orange-spotted grouper,Epinephelus coioides,based on the expressed sequence tag(EST) obtained following Roche 454 GS-FLX *** full-length Og-MyD88 cDNA is composed of 1682 bp and encodes a deduced polypeptide of 289 amino acids with 86% homology to MyD88 of Siniperca *** deduced amino acid sequence of Og-MyD88 contains a typical death domain at the amino terminus and a conserved Toll/IL-1R(TIR) domain at the carboxyl terminus,as well as three highly conserved motifs(Box1,Box2 and Box3) within the C-terminal TIR *** healthy fish,Og-MyD88 was found to be strongly expressed in immune-related tissues,including the spleen,head kidney,kidney,liver,skin and intestine,with lower expression in heart,stomach,brain and *** of Og-MyD88 were found to be markedly up-regulated in fish spleen after challenge with Singapore grouper iridovirus(SGIV),a highly lethal viral pathogen to grouper ***,the full length Og-MyD88 and its N-terminal death domain were capable of inducing NF-κB activity in HEK-293 *** Og-MyD88 showed the ability to inhibit replication of SGIV in grouper spleen(GS) *** results suggest that Og-MyD88 is involved in the grouper immune response to invasion of viral pathogens and may share similar functions to those observed in higher vertebrates.

通过双层平板法以不同细菌为宿主测定了8个厂家蛭弧菌类生物制剂的噬斑含量及噬斑分离物的宿主裂解范围;以3对靶向不同类群蛭弧菌类生物的特异引物对各产品及其噬斑分离物进行了PCR检测;对两株代表性蛭弧菌分离物的16S rRNA基因进行了测序,并通过构建蛭弧菌科进化树分析了它们的系统地位。结果表明,被检测的8个蛭弧菌类生物制剂中有6个质量明显不合格,仅两个样品被蛭弧菌科特异引物检测为阳性,被双层平板法证实有噬斑出现。其中一个样品JSF中存在两种形态和宿主范围不同的噬斑分离物,且不同宿主菌计数结果存在明显差异。16S rRNA基因序列分析表明这两种噬斑分离物JSF1和JSF2,分别属于蛭弧菌科的类群1(噬菌蛭弧菌)和未定种的类群5。但另一样品的噬斑分离物则被证实为非蛭弧菌类生物。

In teleosts, growth hormone (GH) production is governed by multiple neuroendocrine factors from the hypothalamus and other regulators from the pituitary and peripheral organs. Exploring the principles followed by pituitary somatotropes when differentiating and integrating the signals from these regulators at the cellular and intracellular level is essential for understanding the endocrine regulation network of growth hormone synthesis and secretion in fish. This paper discusses recent advances in the action mechanisms of GH regulation factors, including the neuroendocrine regulators, pituitary level factors and peripheral factors, primarily involved in their receptor systems as well as in post-receptor signal transduction pathways.

To use biometrics identities in an identity based encryption system,Sahai and Waters first introduced the notion of fuzzy identity based encryption(FIBE) in *** et *** it to digital signature and introduced the concept of fuzzy identity based signature(FIBS) in 2008,and constructed an FIBS scheme based on Sahai and Waters's FIBE *** this paper,we further formalize the notion and security model of FIBS scheme and propose a new construction of FIBS scheme based on bilinear *** proposed scheme not only provides shorter public parameters,private key and signature,but also have useful structures which result in more efficient verification than that of Yang et al.'s FIBS *** proposed FIBS scheme is proved to be existentially unforgeable under a chosen message attack and selective fuzzy identity attack in the random oracle model under the discrete logarithm assumption.

In this paper we show that the twisted Ate pairing on elliptic curves can be generalized to hyperelliptic curves, and give a series of variations of the hyperelliptic Ate and twisted Ate pairings. Using the hyperelliptic Ate pairing and twisted Ate pairing, we propose a new approach to speeding up the Weil pairing computation. For some hyperelliptic curves with high degree twist, computing Weil pairing by our approach may be faster than Tate pairing, Ate pairing, and all other known pairings.
