A facile growth procedure by low-pressure chemical vapor deposition(LCVD)has been developed to obtain single crystal TiO2 nanorods on Ni-coated Ti *** morphology of samples is critically depended on the growth *** a range of growth temperature of 700～800°C,single crystal TiO2 nanorods are obtained in *** nanorods are high purity rutile with a preferential orientation[110].On a critical temperature 850°C,the nanorods can not gain;the nanocrystal grain film is formed *** the samples as the field emitters directly,the field emission(FE)of both TiO2 nanorods and grain film were investigated at room *** the growth temperature increases from 700°C to 750,and 800°C,the turn-on field of the nanorods decreases from 3.96 V/μm to 2.98,and 2.16 V/μm,*** TiO2 grain film shows a higher turn on field of 7.46 V/μ*** nanorod films show good FE stability during 480 *** well FE properties of emitters may be related to numerous advantages of TiO2 nanorods,such as high aspect ratios,low work function(4.5 eV),well chemical stability and good contact with Ti *** addition,the temperature dependence of FE from the nanorod synthesized at 750°C has been *** environmental temperature of emission tests increases from room temperature(17°C)to 227°C,the turn-on field of the nanorods decreases from 2.16 to 1.76 V/μm,whereas the current density *** is clear that the FE properties of TiO2 nanorods are critically affected by environmental *** behaviors may be attributed to the reduction of effective work function of emission site with a moderate increase of environmental temperature.

The effect of Pr substitution for Dy on the magnetic and magnetostrictive properties, anisotropy, spin reorientation and Mssbauer effect of a series of Tb0.3Dy0.7-xPrx(Fe0.9Al0.1)1.95 (x=0,0.1,0.20,0.25,0.30,0.35) alloys at room temperature have been investigated. It was found that a small amount of Pr substitution is beneficial to a decrease in the magnetocrystalline anisotropy for the Tb0.3Dy0.7-xPrx(Fe0.9Al0.1)1.95 alloys. The magnetostriction decreases drastically with increasing x and the magnetostrictive effect disappears for x>0.2. However, the magnetostriction exhibits a slightly bigger value at x=0.1 than the free alloys and is saturated more easily with the magnetic field H. The saturation magnetization and Curie temperature decrease monotonously, but the spontaneous magnetostriction increases linearly with increasing x, whereas the spin reorientation temperature increases first, then decreases rapidly and reaches the maximum at x=0.1. The analysis of Mssbauer spectra indicated that the easy magnetization direction in the {110} plane deviates slightly from the main axis of symmetry with the Pr concentration x, namely spin reorientation. Compared with Al substitution for Fe, the effect of Pr substitution for Dy on spin reorientation is relatively small. The hyperfine field increases with Pr concentration increasing, and the isomer shifts and the quadrupole splitting (QS) show weak concentration dependence.

Phase-Field Modeling of Free Dendritic Growth in Binary Alloy under Forced Flow

A phase-field model(PFM)coupling with phase field,flow field and diffuse equation is presented for simulating isothermal dendrite growth of a nickel-copper alloy under a forced *** on the finite difference method with uniform grid,the C programming code is implemented to complete the phase-field *** simulation results indicate that the interfacial morphology,the symmetry of dendrite formation,the tip growth velocity and the concentration distribution are strongly influenced by the fluid flow.

Regional Summer Temperature Decrease against Global Warming in china, Landform Effect?

The data of 16o national meteorological observatory （NMO） stations with long-term monthly temperature data for china were analyzed in this study to show the basin-centered summer temperature decrease against global warming in the past half century. The summer and winter isotherm structures of 1950s and 1990s worked out by interpolation show the isotherm structure variations： the isotherm structure generally moves northward in winter, but in summer it is characterized with separate high-temperature and low-temperature centers and the isotherm structure moves inward the centers with global warming, indicating that the temperature in the highland areas increases but that in the lowland areas decreases in the summer of the duration. The possible mechanism of the basin-centered temperature decrease in summer is discussed in this paper.
