Photonic integrated technology for multi-wavelength laser emission

We summarized the design, fabrication challenges and important technologies for multi-wavelength laser transmitting photonic integration. technologies discussed include multi-wavelength laser arrays, monolithic integration and modularizing coupling and packaging. Fabrication technique requirements have significantly declined with the rise of reconstruction-equivalent-chirp and second nanoimprint mask technologies. The monolithic integration problem between active and passive waveguides can be overcome with Butt-joint and InP array waveguide grating technologies. The dynamic characteristics of multi-factors will be simultaneously measured with multi-port analyzing modules. The performance of photonic integration chips is significantly improved with the autoecious factors compensation packaging technique.

Presented in this paper is an experimental research on the mobile sensor and communication system based on transmitting with ultraviolet in either line-of-sight or non-line-of-sight conditions. The performance of this type of communication system is shown on the experimental platform which is set up. It proves the feasibility of ultraviolet communication system.

The sub-wavelength grating has special characteristics compared to traditional *** to the requirement of the optical communication devices,sub-wavelength grating polarizer was designed based on rigorous coupled-wave theory(RCWA).The paper analyzes the grating parameters such as the period,depth,fill grove that influence the diffraction efficiency of the grating. Calculation results indicate that the diffraction efficiency of sub-wavelength grating changes with the period,the depth of the grove,fill factor,and shape of the grating. The TM mode diffraction efficiency is more than 95%,and the TE mode diffraction efficiency is less than 5%,the pyramidal sub-wavelength polarizer grating has good performance than others shapes in the optical communication band of *** this paper,we designed this kind of sub-wavelength grating polarizer has great potential applying in optical switching,optical memory,optical detectors and other photo-electronic devices.

基于一种新型光码分多址(OCDMA)的混合(DS/FH)编解码器,提出了多用户公用同一跳频(FH)码字但使用不同的直扩(DS)码字的密集光码分多址系统方案。在忽略噪声的情况下,采用随机过程理论对系统误码率进行了上线分析。分析表明,混合系统适于密集光码分多址通信,从而克服了单一(DS或FH)系统可用码字较少,不能承载多用户的问题。另外,还有效地解决了单一系统中存在的失配和群速度色散等问题。

＜正＞ As we enter the 21st century, the traffic problems such as traffic accidents, traffic jams, environment pollution and etc, are more and more severe and become the social effects of pollution in global with increasing of automotive *** are two major options for addressing theses phenomena: making radically new uses of new and existing technologies and organizational structures to reduce the need for travel, or using the available capacity more efficiently and effectively. In both cases, Intelligent Transportation System （ITS） plays a major role in the implementation of the selected solutions. It has always been the most effective and ultimate solution to the modern traffic ***, optical technologies are in high speed development and have been successfully applied in many fields. Recently, several developments of optical technologies have brighten the outlook on ITS. Since ITS involves a great number of research areas, this paper focuses on those we believe to be the most *** main purpose is to study the achievements attained in the last years and to give an overview of possible directions towards future research. These optical technologies involved in this paper show as follows:1. Interferometric Fiber Optic Gyroscopes （IFOG） are becoming affordable and effective for many such applications, since the measurement of rotational motion is an essential element of vehicle navigation and stabilization.2.
