Cyclin-dependent kinase 7(Cdk7)is the catalytic subunit of the metazoan Cdk-activating kinase(CAK).Activationof Cdk7 requires its association with a regulatory subunit,Cyclin *** the Cdk7/Cyclin H complex has beenimplicated in the regulation of RNA polymerase in several species,the precise function of their orthologs in zebrafish hasnot been fully *** this study,we isolated from zebrafish blastula embryos two cDNAs encoding the orthologsof human Cyclin H and Cdk7,and examined the role of Cdk7/Cvclin H in zebrafish *** analysisshowed that the zebrafish Cyclin H and Cdk7 cDNAs encode proteins with 65% and 86% identity to the respective hu-man ***-PCR and whole-mount in situ hybridization analyses of their expression in unfertilized eggs,embryosand organs of adult fish suggested that Cyclin H and Cdk7 messages are maternally *** data also showed thattheir transcripts were detected throughout *** of Cyclin H transcripts was found to be ubiquitousduring early stages of development and become restricted to the anterior neural tube,brain,eyes,procreate tissues,liverand heart by 5 days *** of a dominant-negative form of Cyclin H delayed the onset of zygotictranscription in the early embryo,resulting in apoptosis at 5 hours post-fertilization and leading to sever defects in tis-sues normally exhibiting high levels of Cyclin H *** results implicate Cyclin H in the regulation of thetranscriptional machinery during midblastula transition and suggest that it is an essential gene in early zebrafish larvaldevelopment.

The viscous hydrodynamic force and moment on ships moving obliquely in shallow water are important for ship navigation *** the paper,the viscous flow field around a KVLCC2 model moving obliquely in shallow water is simulated and the hydrodynamic drag,lateral force and yaw moment acting on the hull are obtained by a general purpose computational fluid dynamics(CFD) package FLUeNT with shear-stress transport(SST) k—ωturbulence *** numerical computation is performed at different drift angels and water *** numerical results are compared with experimental results,and a good agreement is demonstrated.

Atmospheric physics is a very complicated natural phenomenon and needs to simplify its basic models for the sea-air oscillator. And it is solved by using the approximate method. The variational iteration method is a simple and valid method. In this paper the coupled system for a sea-air oscillator model of interdecadal climate fluctuations is considered. Firstly, through introducing a set of functions, and computing the variations, the Lagrange multipliers are obtained. And then, the generalized expressions of variational iteration are constructed. Finally, through selecting appropriate initial iteration from the iteration expressions, the approximations of solution for the sea-air oscillator model are solved successively.

Salvicine is a novel diterpenoid quinone compound obtained by structural modi-fication of a natural product lead isolated from a Chinese herb with potent growthinhibitory activity against a wide spectrum of human tumor cells in vitro and inmice bearing human tumor xenografts. Salvicine has also been found to have aprofound cytotoxic effect on multidrug-resisitant (MDR) cells. Moreover, Salvicinesignificantly reduced the lung metastatic foci of MDA-MB-435 orthotopicxenograft. Recent studies demonstrated that salvicine is a novel non-intercalativetopoisomerase II (Topo II) poison by binding to the ATPase domain, promotingDNA-Topo II binding and inhibiting Topo II-mediated DNA relegation and ATPhydrolysis. Further studies have indicated that salcivine-elicited ROS plays acentral role in salvicine-induced cellular response including Topo II inhibition,DNA damage, circumventing MDR and tumor cell adhesion inhibition.

The capacitated lot sizing and scheduling problem that involves indetermining the production amounts and release dates for several items over a given planning horizonare given to meet dynamic order demand without incurring backloggings. The problem consideringovertime capacity is studied. The mathematical model is presented, and a genetic algorithm (GA)approach is developed to solve the problem. The initial solutions are generated after usingheuristic method. Capacity balancing procedure is employed to stipulate the feasibility of thesolutions. In addition, a technique based on Tabu search (TS) is inserted into the genetic algorithmdeal with the scheduled overtime and help the convergence of algorithm. computational simulation isconducted to test the efficiency of the proposed hybrid approach, which turns out to improve boththe solution quality and execution speed.

This paper deals with optimal training design and placement over multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) symbols for the least squares(LS) channel estimation in multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO) OFDM ***,the optimal pilot sequences over multiple OFDM symbols are derived by co-cyclic Jacket matrices based on the minimum mean square error(MSe) of the LS channel ***,an enhanced channel estimation method using sliding window is proposed to improve further the performance for the optimal pilot sequences in fast-varying *** results show that the enhancedmethod can efficiently improve the performances for the optimal pilot sequences over two and four OFDM symbols,especially in fast-varying channels.

A necessary and sufficient condition and an algorithm ofsolving such problem, are given in this paper.

Aim:To discriminate 32 phenethyl-amines between antagonists and agonists,and predict the activities of these ***:The support vectormachine (SVM) is employed to investigate the structure-activity relationship(SAR)/quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) of phenethyl-aminesbased on molecular ***:By using the leave-one-out cross-vali-dation (LOOCV) test,1 optimal SAR and 2 optimal QSAR models for agonists andantagonists were *** accuracy of prediction for the classification ofphenethyl-amines by using the LOOCV test is 91.67%,and the accuracy of predic-tion for the classification of phenethyl-amines by using the independent test is100%;the results are better than those of the Fisher,the artificial neural network(ANN),and the K-nearest neighbor models for this real world *** RMSe(root mean square error)of antagonists' QSAR model is 0.5881,and the RMSe ofagonists' QSAR model is 0.4779,which are better than those of the multiple linearregression,partial least squares,and ANN models for this real world ***:The SVM can be used to investigate the SAR and QSAR of phenethyl-amines and could be a promising tool in the field of SAR/QSAR research.
