The inhibitory effects of five berberines alkaloids (BAs) from rhizoma ofCoptis chinensis Franch,a traditional chinese medicinal (TCM) herb,on Bacillus shigae(***)growth were investigated by *** power-time curves of *** with and without BAswere acquired;meanwhile,the extent and duration of inhibitory effects on the metabolism wereevaluated by growth rate constants (k1,k2),half inhibitory ratio (IC50),maximum heat output(P_(max)),and peak time (t_p).The values of k1 and k2 of a shigae in the presence of the five BAsdecreased with the increasing concentrations of ***,P_(max) was reduced,and the value oft_p increased with increasing concentrations of the five *** inhibitory activity varied withdifferent ***50 of the five BAs was respectively 75 mu g/mL for berberine,90 ng/mL forcoptisine,115 mu g/mL for palmatine,220 mu g/mL for epiberberine,and 4.0 mu g/mL *** sequence of antimicrobial activity of the five BAs:berberine > coptisine >palmatine > epiberberine > *** functional groups methylenedioxy at C2 and C3 on phenylring improve antimicrobial activity more strongly than methoxyl at C2 and C3 on ***,the effect of bacteriostasis is not significant with methylenedioxy or methoxyl at C9and C10 on phenyl ring.

In this study, objective differences between the Cold (Han) and Hot (Re) nature of traditional chinese medicines, e.g. Strobal and Rhubarb, are determined by using a cold/hot plate differentiation technology. A novel, self-designed cold/hot plate differentiating instrument, with methodological study, was used to investigate the intervention of Strobal and Rhubarb on the temperature tropism of mice. Compared with the ICR and BALB/c mice, it was found that KM mice on the cold/hot plate were more sensitive to the change of temperature, within the tolerant temperature range of 15-4. ℃ . The temperature tropism behavior of mice is influenced by treatment with Rhubarb and Strobal, as is the activity of ATPase in liver tissue. These trends are consistent with the definition of the Cold/Hot nature of chinese medicines based on traditional chinese medicinal theory. This study showed that the differences of the Cold/Hot nature of traditional chinese medicines. might be objectively represented by the temperature tropism of animal by means of cold/hot differentiating assay.

Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitors(BTKis)have revolutionized the treatment of B-cell ***,safety issues related to the use of BTKis may hinder treatment continuity and further affect clinical efficacy.A comprehensive and systematic expert consensus from a pharmacological perspective is lacking for safety issues associated with BTKi treatment.A multidisciplinary consensus working group was established,comprising 35 members from the fields of hematology,cardiovascular disease,cardio-oncology,clinical pharmacy,and evidencebased *** evidence-based expert consensus was formulated using an evidence-based approach and the Delphi *** Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal(JBI)tool and Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development,and Evaluation(GRADE)approach were used to rate the quality of evidence and grade the strength of recommendations,*** consensus provides practical recommendations for BTKis medication based on nine aspects within three domains,including the management of common adverse drug events such as bleeding,cardiovascular events,and hematological toxicity,as well as the management of drug-drug interactions and guidance for special *** multidisciplinary expert consensus could contribute to promoting a multi-dimensional,comprehensive and standardized management of BTKis.

Monitoring the Cultivated Slope Land in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area Based on Remote Sensing and GIS

By means of combining auto-extraction with manual interpretation, the current distribution information about cultivated land is obtained. The distribution information of 1992 is extracted from the dynamic polygons of 2002. The monitoring mini-system of the cultivated slope land is established. In the system, detailed surveys, focused on the resources of cultivated slope land, are carried out. The results indicate that the area of the cultivated slope land is very large. Meanwhile, there are lots of cultivated steep slopes with gradient above 35°. The areas of steep land cultivated had been slowly reduced from 1992 to 2002. At the same time, the pressures of returning farm land to forestry are great in all counties. The conflicts between population growth, insufficient grain supply and stagnant economic development sharpen increasingly. It is inevitable to improve the agricultural structure.

The paper makes detailed analysis on the changing processes of the main types of land use in Three Gorges Reservoir Area through the techniques of RS （Remote Sense） and GIS （Geography Information System）. Based on the theory of landscape ecology, many types of landscape pattern indexes are calculated and made correlation analysis. The results indicate that： in 1995 the ecological environment of Three Gorges Reservoir Area was the most vulnerable in the recent 50 years, but resumed in 2002; the landscape pattern diversity index, fractal dimension index and fragmentation index has close correlation with the area of land use/cover change （LUCC）. The research also releases that the increase of the cultivated land, grassland and construction land deteriorates the landscape ecological pattern, while the increase of forest land area will help restore the landscape ecological pattern to its original state. The rapid change of grassland is an important index of the change of landscape pattern, because it has the most effect on change of landscape pattern index.

It is usually very difficult to directly obtain molecular dissociation energy De and all accurate high-lying vibrational energies for most diatomic electronic states using modern experimental techniques or quantum theories, and it is also very difficult to give accurate analytical expression for diatomic molecular dissociation energy. This study proposes a new analytical formula for obtaining accurate molecular dissociation energy based on the LeRoy and Bernstein’s energy expression in dissociation limit. A set of full vibrational energy spectra for some electronic states of N2 molecule are studied using the algebraic method (AM) suggested recently, and the corresponding accurate molecular dissociation energies are evaluated using the proposed new formula and high-lying AM vibrational energies. The results show that the AM spectra and the new theoretical dissociation energies agree excellently with experimental data, and thereby providing a new physical approach to generating accurate dissociation energies for electronic states of diatomic molecules.

Spark-plasma sintering (SPS) process was used to sinter ZrO2 (8Y) powders, and a relative density of 99% has been reached at a low temperature (1350°C) and short dwelling time (10 min) compared to the conventional sintered identical samples (14.0°C 4.h)(CS). By the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, the microstructure of the SPS pellet and CS pellet are both indexed by the cubic unit cell (Fm3m). The finer crystallite size (D111) of the SPS pellet is 154.nm and D111 of the CS pellet is more than 1 μm. The AC impedance spectroscopy shows that the ionic conductivity of SPS pellet is different from that of CS pellet. The activation energy for the SPS ceramics, estimated from the slope in the range of 4.0–800°C, was 91 kJ mol?1, which is in good agreement with CS pellet (96 kJ mol?1), indicating that the conduction mechanism in SPS ceramics is similar to that in CS ceramics.

To link regional land use/cover changes with environmental effects, land cover changes are required to reflect vegetation successions, whereas the land cover classification systems commonly used nowadays cannot serve this purpose. In this paper, a new land cover classification system is established in which land covers are classified by the vegetation succes-sions, taking Zamtang County, Barkam County and Jinchuan County in the upper Dadu River watershed as a study area. Using multi-temporal remote sensing images, the land cover data of 1967, 1986 and 2000 are obtained by means of integration of unsupervised classification and visual interpretation methods. The database facilitates the study of land use/cover changes, en-vironmental effects and ecological construction. Land cover changes reflect the main ecological processes in the upper Dadu River watershed. The landscape composed mainly of grasslands, wildwoods and alpine scrubs in 1967 was changed to that of grasslands, secondary forests, al-pine scrubs, fragmentary wildwoods, artificial forests, secondary scrubs in 2000, meanwhile, the landscape got more fragmentized. The total area of the forests decreased by 9.4.%. Study results have shown the process of restoration of logged areas in forest centers. From 1967 to 2000, only 6.86 percents of logged areas were converted to shrubs, meadows or crop-lands, and the rest were converted into artificial forests or secondary forests. So the ecological shelter functions will be restored, stage by stage. Firewood collection, charcoal production and overgrazing are the three major triggers for the extensive degradation of alpine oak forests, Sa-bina tibetica forests and meadows. The arid valley grasslands expanded too. The degradation of vegetation in the southern slopes impairs ecological shelter functions and affects livelihood of local residents, so it is essential to find effective measures for ecological restoration and recon-struction. In this paper, the concept of a finite mass-points system ΣN(H(A))(N > n) being in a sphere in an n-dimensional hyperbolic space H n and a finite mass-points system ΣN(S(A))(N > n) being in a hyperplane in an n-dimensional spherical space S n is introduced, then, the rank of the Cayley-Menger matrix-ΛN(H) (or a-ΛN(S)) of the finite mass-points system ΣN(S(A)) (or ΣN(S(A))) in an n-dimensional hyperbolic space H n (or spherical space S n) is no more than n + 2 when ΣN(H(A))(N > n) (or ΣN(S(A))(N > n)) are in a sphere (or hyperplane). On the one hand, the Yang-Zhang’s inequalities, the Neuberg-Pedoe’s inequalities and the inequality of the metric addition in an n-dimensional hyperbolic space H n and in an n-dimensional spherical space S n are established by the method of characteristic roots. These are basic inequalities in hyperbolic geometry and spherical geometry. On the other hand, some relative problems and conjectures are brought.
