Density functional method is applied for strongly correlated systems. Based on the assumption that the systems are composed of electrons in singly-occupied orbitals and those in doubly-occupied orbitals, a set of self-consistent equations are obtained by standard variation procedure. The equations consist of two parts. One part is to solve the wave functions of the electrons in singly-occupied orbitals and the other is to solve the wave functions of the electrons in doubly-occupied orbitals. The physical meanings of the terms appearing in the equations are discussed.

It has been proved that the hippocampal formation is closely related tosome behaviour reactions (such as learning and memory), visceraI activities,and neuro-endocrine regulations. However, what roles the hippocampus mayplay in pain modulation and analgesic mechanism still need further *** we have done some works in this field. The blood pressure increased accompanying hippocampal EEG's slowrhythmic activity (SRA or theta rhythm) which had a higher amplitude and alonger time course. This EEG wave was specific and could be used as one ofindexes of nociceptive response. In the framework of superspace in Clifford analysis for the Dunkl version, the Fischer decomposition is established for solutions of the Dunkl super Dirac operators. The result is general without restrictions on multiplicity functions or on super dimensions. The Fischer decomposition provides a module for the Howe dual pair G × osp(1|2) on the space of spinor valued polynomials with G the Coxeter group, while the generators of the Lie superspace reveal the naturality of the Fischer decomposition.

AIM: To investigate the association of the cyclooxygenases-2 (COX-2) polymorphisms and susceptibility to gastric cancer (GC) by means of meta-analysis. METHODS: Publications addressing the association between polymorphisms of COX-2 and susceptibility to GC were selected from the MEDLINE, EMBASE and CBMdisc databases. Data was extracted from the studies by 2 independent reviewers. The meta-analyses were performed by RevMan 5.0.23. From these data, odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was ***: Ten studies were retrieved reporting a total of 11 COX-2 polymorphisms. Carriers of -765C, -1195A, -1290G, *2430T alleles and *429TT genotype revealed increased risk for GC (OR = 1.71, 95% CI: 1.01-2.90, P = 0.05; OR = 1.58, 95% CI: 1.05-2.38, P = 0.03; OR = 1.55, 95% CI: 1.01-2.39, P = 0.05; OR = 2.62, 95% CI: 1.20-5.73, P = 0.02 and OR = 0.74, 95% CI: 0.59-0.95, P = 0.02, respectively). CONCLUSION: The -765C, -1195A, -1290G, *2430T alleles and *429TT genotype of COX-2 polymorphisms were determined a significant association with susceptibility to GC.

Let B^Hi,Ki ={ Bt^Hi,Ki, t ≥ 0}, i= 1, 2 be two independent bifractional Brownian motions with respective indices Hi ∈ （0, 1） and K∈ E （0, 1]. One of the main motivations of this paper is to investigate f0^Tδ（Bs^H1 ,K1 - the smoothness of the collision local time, introduced by Jiang and Wang in 2009, IT = f0^T δ（Bs^H1,K1）ds, T 〉 0, where 6 denotes the Dirac delta function. By an elementary method, we show that iT is smooth in the sense of the Meyer-Watanabe if and only if min{H-1K1, H2K2} 〈-1/3.

Let S be an ideal nil-extension of a completely regular semigroup K by a nil semigroup Q with zero. A concept of admissible congruence pairs (δ,ω) of S is introduced, where δ and ω are a congruence on Q and a congruence on K respectively. It is proved that every congruence on S can be uniquely respresented by an admissible congruence pair (δ,ω) of S. Suppose that ρ K denotes the Rees congruence induced by the ideal K of S. Then it is shown that for any congruence σ on S,a mapping Γ:σ|→(σ Q,σ K) is an order-preserving bijection from the set of all congruences on S onto the set of all admissible congruence pairs of S,where σ K is the restriction of σ to K and σ Q=(σ∨ρ K)/ρ K. Moreover,the lattice of congruences of S is also discussed. As a special case,every congruence on completely Archimedean semigroups S is described by an admissible quarterple of S. The following question is asked: Is the lattice of congruences of the completely Archimedean semigroup a semimodular lattice?
