Aim: To explore the possible mechanisms of male infertility caused by antisperm antibody (AsAb). Methods: Thesoluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) level in serum was analyzed by ELISA and Na^+ -K^+ -exchanging ATPase activi-ty in semen by phosphorus (Pi) assay. Results: The slL-2R level in serum was significantly higher and the Na^+ -K^+ -exchanging ATPase activity in semen significantly lower in AsAb positive infertile men when compared with thecontrols. Conclusion: The AsAb titer varies with the slL-2R level in serum. A decrease in Na^+ -K^+ -exchangingATPase activity in semen may play a role in male infertility caused by AsAb.

AIM: To determine the changes of delayed rectifier K+ currents (Ik) and inward rectifier K+ currents (Ik1) in the ventricular myocytes of guinea pigs during the gradual apoptotic process by the chronic oxidant stress treatment. METHODS: H2O250 μmol/L (24 h) was used for inducing apoptosis in the cardiomyocytes culture of neonatal rats and to treat the isolated ventricular myocytes of adult guinea pigs in vitro for 24 h. Apoptosis was evaluated by TUNEL methods and voltage-dependent K+ currents were recorded by patch-clamp techniques. RESULTS: H2O2 50 μmol/L (24 h)induced cell apoptosis in the cardiomyocytes culture of neonatal rats. This concentration was used to treat the isolated ventricular myocytes of adult guinea pigs in vitro for 24 h and the voltage-dependent K+ currents densities (Ik, Ik1) were down-regulated. The densities of the delayed rectifier K+ currents (Ik) in 50 μmol/L H2O2 group were 2.52±0.57 pA/pF vs 5.73±1.84 pA/pF in the control group at +50 mV (n=8, P<0.01). The densities of the inward rectifier K+ currents (Ik1) in 50 μmol/L H2O2 group were -13.9± 2.70 pA/pF, 2.52±0.57 pA/pF vs -59.7±11.9 pA/pF, 5.73±1.84 pA/pF in the control group at -120 mV (n=8, P< 0.01) and -40 mV (n=8, P<0.05), respectively. The extent of inward rectifier property of Ik1 was weakened by 50 μmol/L H2O2treatment. CONCLUSION: The densities of Ik, Ik1 in the cardiomyocytes of guinea pigs were down- regulated and the inward rectifier property of Ik1 was weakened during the gradual apoptotic process after 50 μmol/L H2O2 treatment for 24 h.

AIM: To investigate the effect of tacrolimus (FK506) on the infection of Friend murine leukemia virus (Friend MuLV) in vivo. METHODS: Three kinds of mice were used including Friend MuLV-sensitive BALB/c mice, Friend MuLV-resistant Fv-4 gene-homozygous mice (Fv-4 mice), and Friend MuLV-resistant Fv-4 gene-heterozygous mice (F1 mice). Tacrolimus was administrated ip to those mice in every 2 d. Those treated mice were inoculated ip with Friend MuLV once on d 3. The symptoms and viral proliferations in those mice were observed to recognize the Friend MuLV infection. The expression and genotype of Fv-4 gene that resistant against the infection of Friend MuLV were analyzed to confirm the genomic background and related mechanism of the resistance. RESULTS: BALB/c mice and F1 mice, but not Fv-4 mice, appeared obvious early death, spleenomegaly, and viral proliferation after both treatments of viral inoculation and tacrolimus administration, whereas the expression and genotype of Fv-4 gene was not changed in F1 mice and Fv-4 mice with treatment of tacrolimus. Compared to the virus- inoculated control, the Friend MuLV-sensitivity of tacrolimus-treated BALB/c mice and the Friend MuLV-resistance of tacrolimus-treated Fv-4 mice were the same as the controls, but only F1 mice became the symptoms and viral proliferation after both treatments. It suggested the Friend MuLV-resistant F1 mice could be converted to be Friend MuLV-sensitive by treatment of tacrolimus, and this conversion was not depended on the expression and genotype of Fv-4 gene. CONCLUSION: Tacrolimus could not inhibit the infection of Friend MuLV in all mice, furthermore, it could enhance the infection of Friend MuLV in F1 mice. The enhancement may be related to the immunosuppres- sive effect of tacrolimus.

Aim:To investigate the robust gene signature in liver cancer,we applied anintegrated approach to perform a joint analysis of a highly diverse collection ofliver cancer genome-wide datasets,including genomic alterations and transcrip-tion ***:1-class Significance Analysis of Microarrays coupled withranking score method were used to identify the robust gene signature in livertumor ***:In total,1 625 051 gene expression measurements from 16public microarrays,2 pairs of serial analyses of gene expression experiments,and252 loss of heterozygosity reports obtained from 568 publications were used inthis integrated *** resulting robust gene signatures included 90 genes,which may be of great importance to liver cancer research.A system assessmentanalysis revealed that our integrative method had an accuracy of 92% and acorrelation coefficient value of ***:The system assessment resultsindicated that our method had the ability of integrating the datasets from varioustypes of sources,and eliciting more accurate results,as can be very useful in thestudy of liver cancer.

＜正＞For the autoregressive（AR） signals with multisensor,unknown model parameters and unknown noise variances,using the recursive extended least square（RELS） and the correlation method,the strong consistent information fusion estimators of model parameters and noise variances are presented,and then by substituting them into the optimal weighted measurement fusion Wiener filter based on the autoregressive moving average（ARMA） innovation model,a self-tuning weighted measurement fusion Wiener signal filter is ***,applying the dynamic error system analysis（DESA） method,it is proved that the self-tuning fused Wiener filter converges to the optimal fused Wiener filter in a realization,so that it has asymptotically global optimality.A simulation example shows its effectiveness.

BACKGROUND: The main cause of iatrogenic bile duct injury is misidentification of the common bile duct as the cystic duct. In this article, we summarize the experience in the treatment of 112 patients with iatrogenic bile duct injury. METHOD: Clinical data of these patients treated at 10 hospitals of Songhua river area, Heilongjiang province, China from January 1978 to January 2005 were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: In 55.4% patients (62/112), iatrogenic bile duct injury was due to misidentification of the anatomy of Calot's triangle before cholecystectomy. Their diagnosis was based on clinical features, celiac puncture and imaging examination in which ultrasonography was most sensitive, giving a diagnostic rate of 97. 5%. Six types of injury were identified according to their locations, and type Ⅲ damage was commonly seen ( 92/112 ). The curative rate in this group was 95.5% (107/112). Eighty-seven patients (77.7%) underwent Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy with a cure rate of 94.3% (82/87). CONCLUSION: The prevention of iatrogenic bile duct injury lies in identifying the topography of extrahepatic bile ducts. Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy is usually the treatment of choice.
