Soybean(Glycine max)stands as a globally significant agricultural crop,and the comprehensive assembly of its genome is of paramount importance for unraveling its biological characteristics and evolutionary ***,previous soybean genome assemblies have harbored gaps and incompleteness,which have constrained in-depth investigations into ***,we present Telomere-to-Telomere(T2T)assembly of the Chinese soybean cultivar Zhonghuang 13(ZH13)genome,termed ZH13-T2T,utilizing PacBio Hifi and ONT ultralong *** employed a multi-assembler approach,integrating Hifiasm,NextDenovo,and Canu,to minimize biases and enhance assembly *** assembly spans 1,015,024,879 bp,effectively resolving all 393 gaps that previously plagued the reference *** annotation efforts identified 50,564 high-confidence protein-coding genes,707 of which are ***13-T2T revealed longer chromosomes,421 not-aligned regions(NARs),112 structure variations(SVs),and a substantial expansion of repetitive element compared to earlier ***,we identified 25.67 Mb of tandem repeats,an enrichment of 5S and 48S rDNAs,and characterized their genotypic *** summary,we deliver the first complete Chinese soybean cultivar T2T *** comprehensive annotation,along with precise centromere and telomere characterization,as well as insights into structural variations,further enhance our understanding of soybean genetics and evolution.

Defects engineering is an effective strategy for manipulating electromagnetic parameters and enhancing electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption ***,the relationship between them is not clear,especially in solid solution *** this work,a series of(Cr_(1-x)V_(x))_(2)AlC MAX phase solid solutions with layered structure were prepared via tuning the ratio of Cr and V to explore their EMW absorption *** experimental results indicated that the doping of V atoms at the M-site could effectively regulate its impedance matching and EMW absorption properties by introducing appropriate numbers of defects in the crystal,such as twin boundaries,dislocations and lattice *** them,if Cr:V=3:1,Cr_(1.5)V_(0.5)AlC,as radar absorption materials,could reach a strong reflection loss of-51.8 dB at the frequency of 12.8 GHz under an ultra-thin thickness of 1.3 *** reflection loss value could attain-10 dB in a wide frequency range of 2.7-18 GHz and thickness range of 1-5 *** addition,after high temperature and acid-alkali immersion treatment,this sample still had good EMW absorption capability,and the effective absorption bandwidth was enhanced from 2.3 to 2.6 GHz after concentrated acid immersion or 3.1 GHz after concentrated alkali *** work has great reference significance for the research and development of high-performance MAX-based EMW absorption materials in harsh environments.

Controllable nucleation and deformation of skyrmions on surface of magnetic nanotubular monolayer

Magnetic skyrmions emerge when the energy of ferromagnetic exchange interaction promoting parallel alignment of spins enters in competition with energies favoring non-collinear alignment of spins such as Dzy aloshinskii-Moriya interaction(DMI),long-rang dipole-dipole interaction(DDI),or higher-order exchange *** perform an unbiased Monte Carlo simulation to study the DMI-based skyrmion nucleation and stabilization on the surface of magnetic nanotubular monolayer controlled by tuning constants of DDI(g) and next-nearest-neighbor antiferromagnetic exchange interaction(j') with appropriate *** g and j',the loosely distributed skyrmions initially nucleate on the surface of nanotube approaching to the magnetic field(h) direction with increasing h in the intermediate ***,the skyrmion size,shape,density,distribution and crystal structure,as well as its driven field range,are tailored by g and j'.This work demonstrates the skyrmion nucleation mechanisms in three-dimensional magnetic nanostructures with curvature effect and multiple interactions,serving as a benchmark for a guide to experimentalists for preparation of samples in magnetic skyrmion states.

Development of a novel staging classification for Siewert Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction after neoadjuvant chemotherapy

BACKGROUND Stage classification for Siewert Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG)treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)has not been *** To investigate the optimal stage classification for Siewert Ⅱ AEG with *** A nomogram was established based on Cox regression model that analyzed variables associated with overall survival(OS)and disease-specific survival(DSS).The nomogram performance in terms of discrimination and calibration ability was evaluated using the likelihood-ratio test,Akaike information criterion,Harrell concordance index,time-receiver operating characteristic curve,and decision curve *** Data from 725 patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG who underwent neoadjuvant therapy and gastrectomy were obtained from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results *** and multivariate analyses revealed that sex,marital status,race,ypT stage,and ypN stage were independent prognostic factors of OS,whereas sex,race,ypT stage,and ypN stage were independent prognostic factors for *** factors were incorporated into the OS and DSS *** novel nomogram model performed better in terms of OS and DSS prediction compared to the 8th American Joint Committee of Cancer pathological staging system for esophageal and gastric ***,a user-friendly web application was developed for clinical *** The nomogram established specifically for patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG receiving NAC demonstrated good prognostic *** using external data is warranted before its widespread clinical application.

Synthesis of NO by rotating sliding arc discharge reactor with conical-spiral electrodes

The present work investigates the potential applications of nitrogen oxides(NO_(x)),particularly nitric oxide(NO)and nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2)),generated through discharge plasma in diverse sectors such as medicine,nitrogen fixation,energy,and environmental *** this study,a rotating sliding arc discharge reactor was initially employed to produce high concentrations of gaseous NO_(x),followed by the utilization of a molybdenum wire redox reactor for NO_(2)-to-NO *** outcomes reveal that the discharge states and generations of NO_(x) are affected by varying parameters,including the applied energies,frequencies and airflow states(1.3-2.6 m/s are the laminar flow,2.6-5.2 m/s are the transition state,5.2-6.5 m/s are the turbulent flow),and the concentrations of NO_(x) within the arc discharge are higher than that in the spark ***,the concentrations of NO,NO_(2) and NO_(x) gradually increased,and the concentration ratios of NO/NO_(2) and NO_(x)/NO_(2) decreased with increasing the applied energy for one cycle from 14.8 mJ to 24.3 ***,the concentrations of NO,NO_(2) and NO_(x) gradually decreased,and the concentration ratios of NO/NO_(2) and NO_(x)/NO_(2) first decreased and then increased with increasing the applied frequencies from 5.0 kHz to 9.0 ***,the concentrations of NO,NO_(2) and NO_(x) gradually decreased,and the concentration ratios of NO/NO_(2) and NO_(x)/NO_(2) first increased and then decreased with increasing the air flow speeds from 1.3 m/s to 6.5 m/***,the concentrations of NO increased and NO_(2) decreased with increasing temperature from 25℃ to 400℃ using molybdenum *** findings provide experimental support for the application of plasma in the fields of medicine,nitrogen fixation,energy and environmental protection.

A novel live attenuated vaccine candidate protects chickens against subtype B avian metapneumovirus

Avian metapneumovirus(aMPV) is a highly contagious pathogen that causes acute upper respiratory tract diseases in chickens and turkeys, resulting in serious economic losses. Subtype B aMPV has recently become the dominant epidemic strain in China. We developed an attenuated aMPV subtype B strain by serial passaging in Vero cells and evaluated its safety and efficacy as a vaccine candidate. The safety test showed that after the 30th passage, the LN16-A strain was fully attenuated, as clinical signs of infection and histological lesions were absent after *** LN16-A strain did not revert to a virulent strain after five serial passages in chickens. The genomic sequence of LN16-A differed from that of the parent wild-type LN16(wtLN16) strain and had nine amino acid mutations. In chickens, a single immunization with LN16-A induced robust humoral and cellular immune responses, including the abundant production of neutralizing antibodies, CD4^(+) T lymphocytes, and the Th1(IFN-γ) and Th2(IL-4 and IL-6)cytokines. We also confirmed that LN16-A provided 100% protection against subtype B aMPV and significantly reduced viral shedding and turbinate inflammation. Our findings suggest that the LN16-A strain is a promising live attenuated vaccine candidate that can prevent infection with subtype B aMPV.

Quantifying surface cracks in alpine meadows is a prerequisite and a key aspect in the study of grassland crack *** characterization indices are crucial for the quantitative characterization of complex cracks,serving as vital factors in assessing the degree of cracking and the development *** far,research on evaluating the degree of grassland degradation through crack characterization indices is rare,especially the quantitative analysis of the development of surface cracks in alpine meadows is relatively ***,based on the phenomenon of surface cracking during the degradation of alpine meadows in some regions of the qinghai-Tibet Plateau,we selected the alpine meadow in the huangcheng Mongolian Township,Menyuan hui Autonomous County,qinghai Province,China as the study area,used unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)sensing technology to acquire low-altitude images of alpine meadow surface cracks at different degrees of degradation(light,medium,and heavy degradation),and analyzed the representative metrics characterizing the degree of crack development by interpreting the crack length,length density,branch angle,and burrow(rat hole)distribution density and combining them with in situ crack width and depth ***,the correlations between the crack characterization indices and the soil and root parameters of sample plots at different degrees of degradation in the study area were analyzed using the grey relation *** results revealed that with the increase of degradation,the physical and chemical properties of soil and the mechanical properties of root-soil composite changed significantly,the vegetation coverage reduced,and the root system aggregated in the surface layer of alpine *** the degree of degradation increased,the fracture morphology developed from"linear"to"dendritic",and eventually to a complex and irregular"polygonal"*** crack length,width,depth,and length density were identified as the crack char

Association of miR-499 rs3746444, miR-149 rs2292832 polymorphisms and their expression levels with helicobacter pylori-related gastric diseases and Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes

OBJECTIVE: To provide an objective experimental basis for the gastric mucosa pathological evolution and the transformation of different Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndromes in helicobacter pylori(H. pylori)-related gastric diseases(HPGD) patients, based on the combination of TCM syndrome differentiation, molecular biology and ***: A total of 203 participants were enrolled in this study. The expressions of miR-499/miR-149 and *** infection in the gastric tissues from all participants were detected. The genotyping for miR-499 rs3746444 and miR-149 rs2292832 was ***: In H. pylori positive subjects, the proportion of precancerous gastric lesions(PGL) in liver-stomach disharmony syndrome(LSDS) group was higher than in spleen qi deficiency syndrome(SQDS) group(P 1);The proportion of gastric cancer(GC) in SQDS group was higher than in spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome(SSDHS) group and LSDS group(all P 1). We also found C allele of miR-149 rs2292832 was linked to lower risk of gastric atrophy [miR-149 rs2292832 C vs T:adjusted odds ratio = 0.207; 95% confidence interval(0.043-0.989); P = 0.048]. Compared with healthy control(HC) group, the expression of miR-499 was significantly increased in GC group, while the expression of miR-149was significantly decreased in chronic inflammation group,PGL group and GC group(all P 149(both P for trend 149 rs2292832 may be a protective factor for gastric mucosal atrophy. *** may participate in the evolution of benign to malignant gastric mucosa lesions by inducing the overexpression of miR-499 and down regulation of miR-149. In addition, patients with H. pylori infection combined SQDS or LSDS may have higher risk of gastric mucosal malignant lesions.

Durinskia baltica(Dinophyceae),a newly recorded species and genus from China, and its systematics

A freshwater dinoflagellate was identified as Durinskia baltica(Levander) Carty & Cox by morphological characteristics,with the plate formula:Po,x,4,2a,6,5c,4s,5,*** was a newly recorded dinoflagellate genus for China with two anterior intercalary plates and six characteristic precingular *** sequences of the small and large subunit ribosomal DNA and internal transcribed spacer sequences for the dinoflagellate cells were obtained from field *** phylogenetic results indicated Durinskia species could cluster into a monophyletic group,which were distinct from Peridinium *** to morphological and molecular evidence,it was agreed that the genus Durinskia was separated from the genus Peridinium,which could be a polyphyletic *** addition,*** was an infrequent diatom-harboring dinoflagellate which was known to possess an endosymbiotic diatom or diatom-like *** phylogenetic analyses indicated that *** had a close affinity with Peridiniopsis penardii and ***,common freshwater bloom-forming species in China.
