AIMTo evaluate efficacy/safety of h.patitis C virus (h.V) protease inh.bitor boceprevir with.pegylated interferon (PEG-IFN) alfa and weigh.-based ribavirin (RBV) in a ph.se 3 trial. METh.DSA prospective, multicenter, ph.se 3, open-label, single-arm study of PEG-IFN alfa, weigh.-based RBV, and boceprevir, with.a PEG-IFN/RBV lead-in ph.se was performed. Th. h.V/h.man immunodeficiency virus coinfected study population included treatment naïve (TN) and treatment experienced (TE) patients. Treatment duration ranged from 28 to 48 wk dependent upon response-guided criteria. All patients h.d h.V Genotype 1 with.a viral load > 10000 IU/mL. Compensated cirrh.sis was allowed. Sample size was determined to establish.superiority to h.storical (PEG-IFN plus RBV) rates in sustained viral response (SVR). RESULTSA total of 257 enrolled participants were analyzed (135 TN and 122 TE). In th. TN group, 81.5% were male and 54.1% were black. In th. TE group, 76.2% were male and 47.5% were wh.te. Overall SVR12 rates (h.V RNA P = 0.002). Among th. TN, SVR12 was 42.1% among wh.tes and 27.4% among blacks (P = 0.09). CONCLUSIONTh. trial met its h.poth.sis of improved SVR compared to h.storical controls but overall SVR rates were low. All-oral h.V treatments will mitigate th.se difficulties.

Th. purpose of th. present study was to assess th. reproducibility of voxel placement for GABA-edited MRS. GABA-edited MRS data were acquired in 13 h.alth. volunteers from (3 cm)3 voxel;and with.n th. same session a second acquisition was independently prescribed. A th.ee-dimensional voxel mask image was reconstructed in T1-image-space using th. SVMask tool (in h.use software). Reproducibility of voxel placement was assessed using th. Dice overlap coefficient, both.with.n-subject and between-subject following co-registration of T1 images and transformation of voxel mask images to standard space. With.n-subject overlap coefficients were 86% ± 5%. Between-subject overlap coefficients were 75% ± 10%. For th. two voxel locations considered (occipital and sensorimotor), voxel overlap was very similar. Between-subject values are h.gh.r due to between-session effects, anatomical variability and volume mismatch.in standard space. Wh.le surprisingly low in terms of volume overlap, th. overlap coefficients correspond to acceptable linear displacements.
