In this editorial,we com.ent on the article entitled“Advances and key focus areas in g.stric cancer im.unotherapy:A com.rehensive scientom.tric and clinical trial review(1999-2023),”which was published in the recent issue of the World Journal of *** focused on the results of the authors’bibliom.tric analysis concerning.g.stric cancer im.unotherapy,which they analyzed in depth by com.iling.the relevant publications of the last 20 *** that,we briefly describe the m.st recent data concerning.the epidem.olog.cal param.ters of g.stric cancer(g.)in different countries,attem.ting.to g.ve an interpretation based on the etiolog.cal factors involved in the etiopathog.nesis of the *** then briefly discuss the conservative treatm.nt(chem.therapy)of the various form. of this m.lig.ant *** describe the treatm.nt of resectable tum.rs,locally advanced neoplasm.,and unresectable(advanced)*** attention is g.ven to m.dern therapeutic approaches with em.hasis on im.unotherapy,which seem. to be the future of g. treatm.nt,especially in com.ination with *** is also a thoroug. analysis of the results of the study under review in term. of the num.er of scientific publications,the countries in which the studies were conducted,the authors,and the scientific centers of orig.n,as well as the clinical studies in ***,an attem.t is m.de to draw som. conclusions and to point out possible future directions.

Pneum.nia ranks as a leading.cause of m.rtality, particularly in children ag.d five and under. Detecting.this disease typically requires radiolog.sts to exam.ne chest X-rays and report their finding. to physicians, a task susceptible to hum.n error. The application of Deep Transfer Learning.(DTL) for the identification of pneum.nia throug. chest X-rays is hindered by a shortag. of available im.g.s, which has led to less than optim.l DTL perform.nce and issues with overfitting. Overfitting.is characterized by a m.del’s learning.that is too closely fitted to the training.data, reducing.its effectiveness on unseen data. The problem.of overfitting.is especially prevalent in m.dical im.g. processing.due to the hig. costs and extensive tim. required for im.g. annotation, as well as the challeng. of collecting.substantial datasets that also respect patient privacy concerning.infectious diseases such as pneum.nia. To m.tig.te these challeng.s, this paper introduces the use of conditional g.nerative adversarial networks (Cg.N) to enrich the pneum.nia dataset with 2690 synthesized X-ray im.g.s of the m.nority class, aim.ng.to even out the dataset distribution for im.roved diag.ostic perform.nce. Subsequently, we applied four m.dified lig.tweig.t deep transfer learning.m.dels such as Xception, m.bileNetV2, m.bileNet, and EfficientNetB0. These m.dels have been fine-tuned and evaluated, dem.nstrating.rem.rkable detection accuracies of 99.26%, 98.23%, 97.06%, and 94.55%, respectively, across fifty epochs. The experim.ntal results validate that the m.dels we have proposed achieve hig. detection accuracy rates, with the best m.del reaching.up to 99.26% effectiveness, outperform.ng.other m.dels in the diag.osis of pneum.nia from.X-ray im.g.s.

During.the last few years,epidem.olog.cal data from.m.ny countries sug.est that the incidence and prevalence of m.ny cancers of the dig.stive system.are shifting.from.the older to the young.r ag.s,the so-called“early-onset cancer”.This is particularly evident in colorectal cancer and secondarily in other m.lig.ant dig.stive neoplasm.,m.inly stom.ch and in a lesser deg.ee pancreas,and biliary *** should be em.hasized that data concerning.dig.stive neoplasm.,except for those referring.to the colon and stom.ch,could be characterized as rather *** exact m.g.itude of the shift in young.r ag.s is expected to becom. clearer shortly,as long.as relevant epidem.olog.cal data from.m.ny parts of the world would be *** m.st im.ortant question concerns the etiolog. of this phenom.non,since its m.g.itude cannot be explained solely by the better diag.ostic m.thodolog. and the preventive prog.am. applied in m.ny *** existing.data support the assum.tion that a num.er of environ-m.ntal factors m.y play a prim.ry role in influencing.carcinog.nesis,som.tim.s from.*** that have appeared in the last decades related m.inly to eating.habits,consistency of g.t m.crobiom. and an increase of obese people interacting.with g.netic factors,ultim.tely favor the process of *** these factors however,are not entirely sufficient to explain the ag.-related chang.s in the frequency of dig.stive *** of the individual effect of each of the already known factors or factors likely to be involved in the etiolog. of this phenom.non and studies using.state-of-the-art technolog.es to accurately determ.ne the deg.ee of the population exposure to these factors are *** this article,we attem.t to describe the epidem.olog.cal data supporting.the ag.-shifting.of dig.stive m.lig.ancies and their possible ***,we propose som. m.asures reg.rding.the attitude of the scientific com.unity to this alarm.ng.phenom.non.
