Cu-bearing stainless steels(SSs)with high strength,excellent plasticity,and effective antimicrobial properties hold significant potential for applications in the marine *** this study,Cu-bearing SSs with copper ranging from 0 to 6.0 wt%were successfully prepared using selective laser melting(SLM)*** the Cu-bearing SSs with different copper contents,the effect of heat treatment on the microstructural and mechanical behaviors was studied *** observations revealed that the subgrain size of Cu-bearing SSs increased with heat treatment at 500℃ and 700℃ for 6 ***,the tensile strength and elongation increased after the heat treatment temperature due to the combined effect of dislocations,twins,andε-Cu precipitated ***,after heat treatment at 700℃,the SLM4.5Cu sample exhibited an abnormal rise in tensile strength and *** finding suggests that the diffusion strengthening caused byε-Cu precipitates exceeded the stacking fault ***,the tensile strength and elongation reached 693.32 MPa and 56.94%,*** work provides an efficient approach for preparing Cu-bearing SSs with exceptional strength and plasticity.

Flame-assisted ultrafast synthesis of functionalized carbon nanosheets for high-performance sodium storage

The unique structural features of hard carbon(HC)make it a promising anode candidate for sodium-ion batteries(SIB).However,traditional methods of preparing HC require special equipment,long reaction times,and large energy consumption,resulting in low throughputs and *** our contribution,a novel synthesis method is proposed,involving the formation of HC nanosheets(NS-CNs)within minutes by creating an anoxic environment through flame combustion and further introducing sulfur and nitrogen sources to achieve heteroatom *** effect of heterogeneous element doping on the microstructure of HC is quantitatively analyzed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and image processing *** with density functional theory calculation,it is verified that the functionalized HC exhibits stronger Na^(+)adsorption ability,electron gain ability,and Na^(+)migration *** a result,NS-CNs as SIB anodes provide an ultrahigh reversible capacity of 542.7mAh g^(-1) at 0.1Ag^(-1),and excellent rate performance with a reversible capacity of 236.4mAh g^(-1) at 2Ag^(-1) after 1200 ***,full cell assembled with NS-CNs as the can present 230mAh g^(-1) at 0.5Ag^(-1) after 150 ***,in/ex situ techniques confirm that the excellent sodium storage properties of NS-CNs are due to the construction of abundant active sites based on the novel synthesis method for realizing the reversible adsorption of Na^(+).This work provides a novel strategy to develop novel carbons and gives deep insights for the further investigation of facile preparation methods to develop high-performance carbon anodes for alkali-ion batteries.

This paper aims to tackle the calculation efficiency problem raised in the cavitation-flow simulation of the aviation centrifugal pump due to the fading-away interface resulting from the dissipation of numerics used in the phase-change control equation for unstructured-grid multiphase flow,and due to the limitation of flow time-step in whole flow regimes,the control equation of vapor–liquid two-phase flow considering cavitation mass transport is established firstly,modifying the momentum equation by introducing the surface tension,and adding the artificial convective flow to the phase equation to solve the numerical dissipation ***,in consideration of the local time step principle and based on the multi-dimensional general limiter algorithm with explicit solutions under the OpenFOAM platform,a solution method of steady-state VOF (Volume of Fluid) model considering cavitation two-phase change is constructed,and the feasibility of this method is verified by NACA hydrofoil and NASA flat plate ***,based on the platform developed,the cavitation performance of an aviation centrifugal pump inducer is *** research results show that the error of the calculated cavitation pressure distribution for NACA hydrofoil between the simulation test and the experimental-test is less than 5%,and the maximum error of calculated cavitation number at pump head dropping for NASA high-speed flat plate inducer between the simulation test and the experimental-test is 2.1%.The cavitation area observed in the simulation test is the same as that obtained in the high-speed photography *** on the OpenFOAM simulation method,the position of pump head dropping of the fuel centrifugal pump can be accurately *** error of the calculated cavitation number at pump head dropping between the simulation test and the experimental test is about 3.7%,showing high calculation accuracy.

The error caused by irreversible demagnetization damages the accurate velocity tracking of an in-wheel motor in a mobile robot.A current feedforward vector control system based on ESO is proposed to compensate it for the demagnetization motor.A demagnetization mathematical model is established to describe a permanent magnet synchronous motor,which took the change of permanent magnet flux linkage parameters as a factor to count the demagnetization error in velocity *** uncertain disturbance estimation model of the control system is built based on ESO,which eliminates the system error by the feedforward current *** is compared with the vector control method in terms of control *** simulation results show that the current feedforward vector control method based on ESO reduces the velocity tracking error greatly in conditions of motor demagnetization less than 30%.It is effective to improve the operation accuracy of the mobile robot.

Silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)are widely used in antimicrobial ***,its easy aggregation and rapid loss hinder the effective *** address this issue,a novel stimuli-responsive antibacterial nanocomposite(Ag@SP-MSN)was developed based on spiropyran covalently conjugated mesoporous silica nanoparticles(284.6 nm)and AgNPs(27.1 nm)via strong electrostatic *** transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and atomic force microscopy(AFM)images proved the successful modification of AgNPs onto *** light-induced maximum loading amount towards AgNPs was calculated to be 95.0 wt.%after ultraviolet irradiation,while the amount of AgNPs released from Ag@SP-MSN was 94.4 wt.%under visible light in the aid of ammonia(0.1%,v/v).Upon cycled light irradiation,Ag@SP-MSN could recover 84.5 wt.%of AgNPs even after four *** proposed Ag@SP-MSN exhibited better antibacterial activity against both *** and *** than Ag@MSN under visible light illumination,indicating the efficient photo-responsive isomerization of ***,the Ag@SP-MSN embedded gel demonstrated outstanding antifouling ability even after 21 days when compared to AgNPs *** long-term photo-controllable antifouling property proved the excellent reversible absorption and release of Ag@SP-MSN towards *** work provides new insights into the safe utilization of nanomaterials,offering promising advancements to meet clinical antibacterial requirements.

In this study,glucose and NH4F were utilized as sources of carbon and fluorine,respectively,for the synthesis of liMn_(0.6)Fe_(0.4)PO_(4)(LMFP)*** nanoscales were subsequently modified with varying levels of fluorine-doped carbon through co-precipitation and mechanical ball milling *** LMFP,incorporating carbon and varying levels of fluoride ions,exhibit higher specific discharge capacities at 0.2 Cand electrochemical characteristics compared to the original LMFP coated solely with *** inclusion of fluorine-doped carbon in the composite material creates numerous pathways for expeditious electron ***,the partial formation of metal fluoride at the interface between the surface of LMFP and the layer of carbon coating doped with fluorine enhances the reduction in the charge-transfer *** modified ferromanganese phosphate cathode material reveals an outstanding discharge capacity displaying a reversible discharge specific capacity value of 131.73 mA h g^(−1)at 10C and 154.6 mA h g^(−1)at 0.2C,due to its unique structure.

Coupling changes of soil functional gene abundances and extracellular enzyme activities across the diagnostic horizons of agricultural Isohumosols

Soil functional microbial taxa and extracellular enzymes are involved in a variety of biogeochemical cycling *** many studies have revealed the vertical change patterns of microbial communities along soil profile,the general understanding of the coupling changes in the functional gene abundances(FGAs)and extracellular enzyme activities(EEAs)in soil profiles is still limited,which hinders us from revealing soil ecosystem ***,we comparatively investigated the FGAs and EEAs in the diagnostic A,B,and C horizons of soil profiles obtained from two suborders of Isohumosols(Mollisols),Ustic and Udic Isohumosols,in Northeast China based on quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and standard fluorometric techniques,*** distribution patterns of both FGAs and EEAs significantly distinguished by the two soil suborders and were also separated from A to C ***,the variations of EEAs and FGAs were greater in Udic Isohumosols compared to Ustic Isohumosols along soil profiles,and greater changes were observed in C horizon than in A *** FGAs and EEAs correspondently decreased along the soil ***,when normalized by soil organic carbon,the specific EEAs significantly increased in deep soil horizons,suggesting that microorganisms will input more resources to the production of enzymes to ensure microbial nutrient requirements under resource *** importantly,we revealed that soil microbial nutrient demands were limited by carbon(C)and phosphorus(P),and the C and P limitations significantly increased along soil profiles with a greater C limitation observed in Ustic Isohumosols than in Udic ***,our findings provided solid evidence showing the links between FGAs,EEAs,and microbial nutrient limitations,which would be helpful for a better understanding of the ecosystem processes in soil profiles.

Combining logical function and memory characteristics of transistors is an ideal strategy for enhancing computational efficiency of transistor ***,we rationally design a tri-gate two-dimensional(2D)ferroelectric van der Waals heterostructures device based on copper indium thiophosphate(CuInP_(2)S_(6))and few layers tungsten disulfide(WS_(2)),and demonstrate its multi-functional applications in multi-valued state of data,non-volatile storage,and logic *** co-regulating the input signals across the tri-gate,we show that the device can switch functions flexibly at a low supply voltage of 6 V,giving rise to an ultra-high current switching ratio of 107 and a low subthreshold swing of 53.9 mV/*** findings offer perspectives in designing smart 2D devices with excellent functions based on ferroelectric van der Waals heterostructures.

An efficient mass transfer process is a critical factor for regulating catalytic activity in a photocatalytic desulfurization ***,a phosphotungstic acid(HPW)active center is successfully composited with a quaternary ammonium phosphotungstate-based hexadecyltrimethylammonium chloride ionic liquid(CTAC-HPW)by the ion exchange method for the photocatalytic oxidative desulfurization of dibenzothiophene *** keggin structure of HPW and highly mass transfer performance of organic cations synergistically enhanced the photocatalytic activity towards the effective convertion of dibenzothiophene(DBT)with the excitation of visible *** deep desulfurization(lity is demonstrated within 25 ***,the CTAC-HPW photocatalyst projects well selectivity to interference from coexisting compounds such as olefins and aromatic hydrocarbons and universality of dibenzothiophenes,for example,4-methyldibenzothiophene(4-MDBT)and 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene(4,6-DMDBT).Ultimately,a possible photocatalytic desulfurization mechanism is proposed according to the Gaschromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),proving that the final product is the corresponding *** trapping experiment and electron spin resonance(ESR)analysis confirmed that h^(+)and,COOH played critical roles in the oxidation *** work offers a practicable strategy for efficiently converting DBT to DBTO_(2) with added value.
