We c.nsider the inverse elec.romagnetic.sc.ttering problem of determining the shape of a perfec.ly c.nduc.ing c.re inside a penetrable c.iral body. We prove the well-posedness of the c.rresponding direc. sc.ttering problem by the variational method. We foc.s on a uniqueness result for the inverse sc.ttering problem that is under what c.nditions an obstac.e c.n be identified by the knowledge of the elec.ric.far-field pattern c.rresponding to all time-harmonic.inc.dent planes waves with a fixed wave number. To this end, we establish a c.iral mixed rec.proc.ty relation that c.nnec.s the elec.ric.far-field pattern of a spheric.l wave with the sc.ttered field of a plane wave.
