Micromorphology of Solonetzic Horizons as Related to Environmental Events in the Caspian Lowland

Micromorphology of solonetz species with special attention to natric horizon was studied in microcatenas at the Dzhanybek Research Station (northwestern Caspian Lowland). The solonetzic (natric) horizon is easily identified, and it occurs at varying depths, which are the criteria for subdividing solonetzes into 4 species, namely, crusty, shallow, medium and deep. In this sequence, the depth of humus-accumulative horizons increases, and the upper boundary of salinity manifestations goes down. The following micromorphological features are assumed as typical for natric horizons: angular blocky microstructures with partially accommodated aggregates having sharp boundaries and narrow plane-like packing voids; b-fabric speckled in the aggregates' centers and monostriated at their peripheries merging into stress coatings; very few interpedal voids; organo-clay coatings; humusenriched infillings; no calcite and gypsum pedofeatures. A complete set of "natric" features was found only in the crusty solonetz; the shallow solonetz lacks only illuviation coatings, while the medium and deep species have several modifications of fabric elements: blocky aggregates have a rounded shape and are penetrated by biogenic channels favoring their further biogenic reworking; plant residues became more abundant and diverse, and blackened tissues occur; illuviation clay coatings evolved into papules; stress coatings gave birth to striated b- fabrics, thus maintaining a high plasma orientation. The thin sections of natric horizons made 50 and 20 years ago were examined to study the influence of environmental changes (increase in precipitation and rise of ground water table) on micropedofeatures. The following processes took place: (i) in the topsoil: humus accumulation and biogenic structurization; (ii) in the natric horizon-re-arrangement of clay coatings into micromass b-fabrics; and (iii) in the lower part of the natric horizon-development of pseudosand fabric, calcite and gypsum formation.

NLR’s Analogs with Young Blood Cells in Monitoring of Toxicity of Long-Term Preventing Immunosuppression in the Liver Transplant’s Recipients

The blood neutrophils to lymphocytes ratio (NLR) reflects the physiological homeostasis between lymphopoiesis and myelopoiesis, and its elevation serves as a harmful sign in many pathologies, partially, late rejection of allograft. The stem and young lymphoid cells have regenerative-trophic properties, which can affect the relevance of NLR, being opposed to immune properties, associated with bulk lymphocytes. In the present article, we have analyzed for the first time the applicability of NLR’s analogs with stem and immature blood cells for monitoring harmful long-term shifting from lymphopoiesis to myelopoiesis in transplant’s recipients received conventional immunosuppressive treatment. In opposition to conventional NLR, the ratio of subpopulation of CD31 cells committed to the liver tissue by alfa-fetoprotein (AFP), seems sensitive enough for such monitoring several years after transplantation of the liver from the dead.

研究磷酸钛离子交换剂(Li-TiOP)在饱和LiNO_(3)溶液中对Cu^(2+)、Co^(2+)、Mn^(2+)、Ni^(2+)和Cr^(3+)离子的吸附性能。采用XRD、SEM、TG、DSC、NGSP和元素分析对固体样品进行表征。采用原子吸收光谱法(AAS)和电感耦合等离子体质谱法(ICP MS)测定溶液中离子的浓度。采用Langmuir、Freundlich、Temkin和Nikolsky模型计算金属离子的吸附等温线。在研究金属离子吸附时,必须考虑吸附剂的溶剂化状态。Li-TiOP对所研究离子的选择性为:Cr^(3+)>Cu^(2+)>Mn^(2+)>Co^(2+)>Ni^(2+),且对上述4种模型均适用。吸附过程热力学参数的变化与吸附剂离子电位的变化有关。磷酸钛能有效去除多组分溶液中的微量金属离子,使LiNO_(3)纯度高于99.999%(质量分数)。

Non-Invasive Vibration-Stress of the Cirrhotic Liver of Patients Waiting for Transplantation Induces of Circulating CD133+ Stem Lymphocytes Committed Phenotypically toward the Liver

Background: Numerous studies of tissues’ regeneration have confessed the recovery of damaged liver by hematopoietic stem cells. The cells act not only by cell replacement in the target organ but also by delivering trophic factors that support endogenous liver regeneration. A little is known of how organ-derived signals recruit such committed cells into circulation. Objective: We investigated the roles of noninvasive mechanical percutaneous stress of cirrhotic human liver in numbers fluctuation of trophic, liver-specific alpha-fetoprotein-positive fraction of CD133-positive hematopoietic stem cells in lymphocytes of patients waiting for liver transplantation. Methods: To promote in blood the number of the alpha-fetoprotein-positive fraction of CD133-positive hematopoietic stem cells, committed to liver’ tissue, we activated mechanically the cirrhotic liver of patient by transcutaneous micro vibration received from skin-contacted electro-magnetic vibraphones generated mechanical pulses with amplitude 10 μm and smoothly changing frequency from 0.03 kHz to 18 kHz and back forth during one cycle duration 1 minute. The number of the alpha-fetoprotein-positive fraction of CD133-positive hematopoietic stem cells in lymphocytes of potential recipients was controlled by flow cytometry before and during daily sonication of skin area, which corresponds to liver projection on it. The 15 minutes cyclic sonication of the liver area performed daily for three weeks. Results: The sonication increased significantly averaged number of liver-specific alpha-fetoprotein-positive CD133-positive blood lymphocytes in 2 - 3 times compared to a base lane. The second similar sonication, the same zone after three weeks break showed differences with baseline, but it was statistically insignificant. The result was specifically related to the liver as it showed the control sonication of the backbone’s projection on the skin of a separate group of patients with cirrhotic liver from the waiting list.

Coherent Neuron Activity in Frontal Cortex, n. Accumbens and dorsomedial Striatum during Impulsive and Self-control Behavior in Cats

Cats placed in the situation of a choosing between a high-value time-delayed and a low-value immediate food rewards elected to wait for the preferred reward or to obtain the worse reward quickly. On the basis of the selected behavior strategy the cats were classified into three groups - self-control ones, choosing predominantly a delayed high-value food reward, impulsive, choosing predominantly an immediate low-value food reward, and ambivalent - with mixed types of reactions. The correlated firing between simultaneously recorded neurons in prefrontal cortex (PFC), n. accumbens (NAcb) and dorsomedial striatum (DMStr) during choice behavior task was studied. It was revealed that a total number of NAcb functional neuron interactions at cats showing self-control reactions exceeded that of observed at ambivalent and impulsive cats. The number of PFC and DMStr functional correlated firing at impulsive and ambivalent cats was more significant than at cats capable to self-control. Observed correlated firing between PFC and NAcb neurons (fronto-accumbal interactions) progressively increased with the shift of behavior to impulsiveness and decreased with self-control behavior. Our results demonstrate that performance of impulsive and self-control behavior alters the correlation structure of neural firing in PFC, NAcb, DMStr and suggest the key role of local PFC, NAcb, DMStr networks in realization of choice behavior.
