Climate change evidence in tree growth and stand productivity at the upper treeline ecotone in the Polar Ural Mountains

Background:Recent warming is affecting species composition and species areal distribution of many ***,although most treeline studies have estimated the rates of forest expansion into tundra,still little is known about the long-term dynamic of stand productivity at the forest-tundra ***,we make use of tree-ring data from 350 larch(Larix sibirica Ledeb.)and spruce(Picea obovata Ledeb.)sampled along the singular altitudinal treeline ecotone at the Polar Urals to assess the dynamic of stand establishment and productivity,and link the results with meteorological observations to identify the main environmental ***:The analysis of stand instalment indicated that more than 90%of the living trees appeared after *** this period,the stand became denser and moved 50m upward,while in recent decades the trees of both species grew *** maximum afforestation occurred in the last decades of the twentieth century,and the large number of encountered saplings indicates that the forest is still *** upward shift coincided with a slight increase of May-August and nearly doubling of September-April precipitation while the increase in growth matched with an early growth season warming(June+0.27°C per decade since 1901).This increase in radial growth combined with the stand densification led to a 6-90 times increase of biomass since ***:Tree-ring based twentieth century reconstruction at the treeline ecotone shows an ongoing forest densification and expansion accompanied by an increased *** changes are driven by climate change mechanism,whereby the leading factors are the significant increase in May-June temperatures and precipitation during the dormant *** of phytomass accumulation mechanisms within treeline ecotone is valuable for improving our understanding of carbon dynamics and the overall climate balance in current treeline ecosystems and for predicting how these will be altered by global ch

Regeneration of the Catalysts by Supercritical Fluid Extraction

The decontaminating of catalysts nickel on kieselguhr, activated aluminum oxide and palladium catalyst LD-265 agent’s nature was analyzed. The possibility of catalyst’s regeneration was examined using supercritical CO2 extraction. Regeneration of coked catalysts was carried out at 70oC and 150oC in the pressure range 10 - 30 MPa by pure and modified supercritical CO2. Methanol and dimethylsulfoxide were used as modifiers (co-solvents) of supercritical CO2. The kinetics of supercritical CO2 regeneration process was studied. The activity of regenerated catalysts was measured.

Dear Editor , Artificial intelligence (AI) is the theory and development of computer systems that are able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. There are some knowledge and thinking tasks that humans cannot perform as perfectly as they wish to or should be able to. These tasks are closely related to security and responsibility. A multitude of cognitive distortions have been well explored1 and present opportunities to use AI for powerful assistance in thinking tasks. The core of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the adoption of AI methods. This revolution has affected all aspects of human activities and medicine is one example. AI systems can usually include formal algorithms for subtasks that can be solved using logic, for example, a decision tree. The task solution process moves from logic point to logic point similar to a train on a railway. These algorithms are fast and have the ability to explain.

Background: COVID-19 limitations have hindered the implementation of new technologies by preventing proctors from coming to the *** share our first experience of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-guided focused ultrasound(MRgFUS)treatment with an international remote online proctorship,and develop and evaluate the methodology of remote MRgFUS ***: This single-center,nonrandomized controlled prospective study included 94 patients:27 with essential tremor(ET)and 67 with tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease(PD).The coming of proctors was impossible,so we arranged for the remote participation of proctors from the United Kingdom,Spain,and Israel.A total of 38 patients(40.4%)received telemedicine-proctored treatment(proctor group)and 56 received their treatment independently(solo group).We used the Clinical Rating Scale for Tremor(CRST)for ET patients and the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS)Part III for PD ***: In patients with ET,success rates were 81.8%(proctor group)and 100%(solo group)(p=0.22).CRST reduction on the treated side was 71.43%[65.83%;80.56%](proctor group)versus 60.87%[53.99;79.58](solo group)(p=0.19).None of the patients showed worsening of tremors within 1 *** patients with PD,the success rates were 92.6%(proctor group)and 100%(solo group)(p=0.08).The UPDRS Part III improvement was 30.1%(proctor group)versus 39.9%(solo group)(p=0.003).The 1-year recurrence rate was 40%(proctor group)and 17.5%(solo group)(p=0.04).No complications were observed at 6 ***: We developed a feasible and safe methodology for telemedicine remote online-proctored MRgFUS *** significant difference was observed between the solo and developed remote proctor protocols in terms of complication rate,effect,and long-term results;however,UPDRS Part III improvement was better in the PD solo *** study demonstrated that the MRgFUS international proctorship can be performed successfully remotely.

供气可靠性优化分配能够用于识别天然气管道系统中的薄弱单元,为运行管理和维抢修提供指导。为进一步确定管道供气系统中的薄弱单元,以提升供气可靠性所需费用最低为优化目标,以供气可靠性为约束条件,建立一种新型费用函数模型。将供气可靠性影响因素与费用函数模型相结合,采用可行度等参数量化影响因素与费用之间的关系。采用粒子群算法求解费用函数模型,确定各管道和压气站的供气可靠性优化指标。针对某天然气管道系统,根据费用函数模型进行供气可靠性优化分配,结果表明,该方法能够根据提升可靠性的难易程度,合理地将供气可靠性指标分配至各管道和压气站。此优化方法相较于无约束分配更贴合实际,能够避免过度分配,为增强供气可靠性提供科学依据。

Artificial intelligence:Neural network model as the multidisciplinary team member in clinical decision support to avoid medical mistakes

Objective: The continuous uninterrupted feedback system is the essential part of any well-organized system. We propose aLYNX concept that is a possibility to use an artificial intelligence algorithm or a neural network model in decision-making system so as to avoid possible mistakes and to remind the doctors to review tactics once more in selected cases. Method: aLYNX system includes:registry with significant factors, decisions and results;machine learning process based on this registry data;the use of the machine learning results as the adviser. We show a possibility to build a computer adviser with a neural network model for making a choice between coronary aortic bypass surgery (CABG) and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in order to achieve a higher 5-year survival rate in patients with angina based on the experience of 5107 patients. Results: The neural network was trained by 4679 patients who achieved 5-year survival. Among them, 2390 patients underwent PCI and 2289 CABG. After training, the correlation coefficient (r) of the network was 0.74 for training, 0.67 for validation, 0.71 for test and 0.73 for total. Simulation of the neural network function has been performed after training in the two groups of patients with known 5-year outcome. The disagreement rate was significantly higher in the dead patient group than that in the survivor group between neural network model and heart team (16.8%(787/4679) vs. 20.3%(87/428), P ? 0.065)) Conclusion: The study shows the possibility to build a computer adviser with a neural network model for making a choice between CABG and PCI in order to achieve a higher 5-year survival rate in patients with angina.
