Determina.ion of riding comfort on cyclewa.s using a.sma.tphone a.plica.ion

Well ma.nta.ned cyclewa.s will encoura.e more people to cycle, a. the condition of cyclewa.s is importa.t for the sa.ety, a.cessibility a.d riding comfort of cyclists. Despite tha., only a.few models used to describe the qua.ity of service for cyclists ta.e the surfa.e condition into a.count. Objective mea.uring methods a.e needed to ena.le relia.le a.d effective a.sessment of surfa.e conditions, a.d mea.ura.le performa.ce criteria.rela.ed to the needs of cyclists should be developed. The purpose of this study ha. been to test the relia.ility a.d va.idity of using a.celerometers in sma.tphones to a.sess the riding comfort on cyclewa.s. a.sma.tphone a.plica.ion converting three-dimensiona. a.celerometer mea.urements into a.single indica.or for cyclewa.s ha. been used to a.sess roa. surfa.es in two field studies, in Sweden a.d Norwa., respectively. Both studies a.sessed test sections of va.ying qua.ity. To rela.e the mea.urements to subjective riding comfort a.sessments by cyclists, recruited cyclists collected qua.tita.ive da.a.using the a.p, whilst a.so ra.ing their perceived riding comfort by completing a.survey. Mea.urements were a.so rela.ed to sta.da.d roa. surfa.e condition indica.ors, genera.ed from a.roa. surfa.e tester equipped with 19 la.er sensors: interna.iona. roughness index(IRI), mega.a.d ma.rotexture. The results show tha. it is possible to describe the unevenness of a.cyclewa. using the technology present in sma.tphones. a.softwa.e a.plica.ion ca. be used to collect a.d a.a.yse da.a.from the a.celera.ion sensors in the phone, which ca. then be used to describe the riding comfort of cyclists. It is ma.nly the unevenness in the 50-1000 mm sizera.ge tha. crea.e the grea.est discomfort for cyclists, a.d intermittent vibra.ions a.e perceived a. more uncomforta.le tha. more evenly distributed vibra.ions. Therefore, IRI is not a.releva.t mea.urement for describing the riding comfort of cyclists.

Orga.elle-ta.geted ima.ing ca. provide informa.ion on cellula. functions a.d intra.ellula. intera.tions, being significa.t for disea.e dia.nosis. The use of room-tempera.ure phosphorescence(RTP) in orga.elle-ta.geted ima.ing ca. fully utilize its unique cha.a.teristics of long wa.elength a.d deep penetra.ion. However, this technology ha. long been pla.ued by insufficient probe ta.geting a.d limited luminous intensity. In this work, we prepa.ed a.series of complexes composed of multica.ionic persulfura.ed a.enes a.d bioma.romolecules via.electrosta.ic intera.tions in 1:1 stoichiometry for high-contra.t mitochondria.-ta.geted RTP ima.ing. Such a. electrosta.ic intera.tion design effectively prevented the self-a.grega.ion of the probes, which is not conducive to mitochondria. ta.geting. Simulta.eously, it suppressed the non-ra.ia.ive deca. to the ma.imum extent, ena.ling the probes to exhibit strong RTP signa.s both in a.ueous solution a.d a. the cellula. level. Furthermore, the bioma.romolecules ca. serve a. ca.riers for a. electrosta.ic intera.tion tra.sfer of the persulfura.ed a.enes to mitochondria. This lea.s to high mitochondria. ta.geting Pea.son's correla.ion coefficients of the probes a.d high-contra.t RTP ima.ing effects, a. well a. the independence of the co-incuba.ed probe concentra.ion. These results provide new insights for the development of ta.geted ima.ing technologies.

Methods: a.microdia.ysis ca.heter, a.bra.n tissue oxygen tension probe, a.d a. ICP tra.sducer were inserted into the periventricula. white ma.ter 0-7 mm from the right fronta. horn in 10 pa.ients with Ia.S. ICP a.d intra.erebra. PtiO2 were recorded continuously during lumba. CSF consta.t pressure infusion test. ICP wa. ra.sed to pressure levels of 35 a.d 45 mm Hg for 10 minutes ea.h, a.ter which CSF dra.na.e wa. underta.en. Objective: To a.sess the effect of selective serotonin reupta.e inhibitors (SSRIs) a.d tricyclic a.tidepressa.ts (TCa.) in reducing vertigo, tinnitus, a.d hea.ing loss a.ong pa.ients with Meniere''s disea.e (MD).Da.a.Sources: The following da.a.a.es were utilized in this scoping review: Ovid Medline, PubMed-NCBI, CINa.L, Cochra.e Libra.y, Web of Science, a.d ***: Studies were identified through the following sea.ch phra.es: "serotonin specific reupta.e inhibitors" OR "tricyclic a.tidepressa.ts" a.D "Meniere''s disea.e." References from included ma.uscripts were exa.ined for possible inclusion of a.ditiona. ***: The litera.ure sea.ch yielded 23 results, which were screened by three independent reviewers. Seventeen studies a.d three duplica.es were excluded. a. exa.ina.ion of references from the included studies yielded two a.ditiona. publica.ions. a.tota. of four published studies a.sessing SSRIs a.d TCa. a.ong 147 pa.ients with MD were ultima.ely included. Four studies described significa.t reductions in vertigo a.ta.k frequency a.ong pa.ients trea.ed with either SSRIs or TCa. compa.ed to their pretrea.ment ba.eline. Three studies a.sessed the drugs'' effects on hea.ing, of which none found a.significa.t difference a.ong pa.ients trea.ed with SSRIs or TCa..
