Wettability,reactivity,and interface structure in Mg/Ni system

The sessile drop method was applied to the experimental investigation of the wetting and spreading behaviors of liquid Mg drops on pure Ni *** comparison,the experiments were performed in two variants:(1)using the Capillary Purification(CP)procedure,which allows the non-contact heating and squeezing of a pure oxide-free Mg drop;(2)by classical Contact Heating(CH)*** high-temperature tests were performed under isothermal conditions(CP:760℃for 30 s;CH:715℃for 300 s)using ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the sessile drop tests,images of the Mg/Ni couples were recorded by CCD cameras(57 fps),which were then applied to calculate the contact angles of metal/substrate *** and transmission electron microscopy analyses,both coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,were used for detailed structural characterization of the solidified *** was found that an oxide-free Mg drop obtained by the CP procedure showed a wetting phenomenon on the Ni substrate(an average contact angleθs),followed by fast spreading and good wetting over the Ni substrate(θ_((CP))~20°in 5 s)to form a final contact angle ofθ_(f(CP))~18°.In contrast,a different wetting behavior was observed for the CH procedure,where the unavoidable primary oxide film on the Mg surface blocked the spreading of liquid Mg showing apparently non-wetting behavior after 300 s contact at the test ***,in both cases,the deep craters formed in the Ni substrates under the Mg drops and significant change in the structure of initially pure Mg drops to Mg-Ni alloys suggest a strong dissolution of Ni in liquid Mg and apparent values of the final contact angles measured for the Mg/Ni system.

Aquatic fungi play an important role in litter decomposition in aquatic *** in view the importance of aquatic fungi,diversity of these organisms was studied in two freshwater ecosystems of Gaur River and Khurji Nala Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh *** the present study,34 fungal species and 6 chromista species have been recorded on decomposing *** number of fungal genera were recorded in submerged litter samples of Tectona grandis followed by Dendroclamus *** maximum percentage frequencies of various fungal species which colonize litter of different tree species were also *** cluster analysis revealed that different fungal communities on various plant hosts vary significantly.

In this paper,we consider the(2+1)-dimensional Chaffee-Infante equation,which occurs in the fields of fluid dynamics,high-energy physics,electronic science *** build Bäcklund transformations and residual symmetries in nonlocal structure using the Painlevétruncated expansion *** use a prolonged system to localize these symmetries and establish the associated one-parameter Lie transformation *** this transformation group,we deliver new exact solution profiles via the combination of various simple(seed and tangent hyperbolic form)exact solution *** this manner,we acquire an infinite amount of exact solution forms ***,we demonstrate that the model may be integrated in terms of consistent Riccati *** the Maple symbolic program,we derive the exact solution forms of solitary-wave and soliton-cnoidal *** 3D and 2D illustrations,we observe the dynamic analysis of the acquired solution forms.

Patterns,procedures,and indications for pediatric surgery in a Tanzanian Refugee Camp:a 20-year experience

Background There are 103 million displaced people worldwide,41%of whom are *** on the provision of surgery in humanitarian settings.are *** s.arcer is literature on pediatric surgery performed in humanitarian settings,particularly protracted humanitarian *** We reviewed patterns,procedures,and indications for pediatric surgery among children in Nyarugusu Refugee Camp using a 20-year retrospective *** A total of 1221 pediatric surgical procedures were performed over the study *** between the ages of 12 and 17 years were the most common age group undergoing surgery(n=991;81%).A quarter of the procedures were performed on local Tanzanian children seeking care in the camp(n=301;25%).The most common procedures performed were cesarean sections(n=858;70%),herniorrhaphies(n=197;16%),and exploratory laparotomies(n=55;5%).Refugees were more likely to undergo exploratory laparotomy(n=47;5%)than Tanzanian children(n=7;2%;p=0.032).The most common indications for exploratory laparotomy were acute abdomen(n=24;44%),intestinal obstruction(n=10;18%),and peritonitis(n=9;16%).Conclusions There is a significant volume of basic pediatric general surgery performed in the Nyarugusu *** are used by both refugees and local *** hope this res.arch will inspire further advocacy and res.arch on pediatric surgical services in humanitarian settings worldwide and illuminate the need for including pediatric refugee surgery within the growing global surgery movement.
