Beneficial use of mussel shell as a bioadditive for TpU green composites by the valorization of an aqueous waste

Scientific studies have focused on environmentally friendly solutions as effective as the reuse of crop products owing to plastic-waste problems in recent *** issue is the main driving force for upcoming academic research attempts in waste valorization-related ***,we integrated an aqua-waste,mussel shell(MS),as a bioadditive form into green thermoplastic polyurethane(TpU)green *** of the MS surface was performed to achieve strong adhesion between composite *** surface functionalities of MS powders were evaluated via infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SeM)*** samples were prepared by melt-compounding followed by injection molding *** was confirmed by morphological analysis that relatively better adhesion between the phases was achieved for composites involving surface-modified MS compared to unmodified *** strength and Young’s modulus of surface-modified MS-filled composites were found to be higher than those of unmodified MS,whereas the elongation at break shifted to lower values with MS *** shore hardness of TpU was remarkably improved after being incorporated with silane-treated MS(AS-MS).Stearic acid-treated MS(ST-MS)additions resulted in an enhancement in the thermal stability of the ***-mechanical analysis showed that the storage moduli of composites were higher than those of unfilled ***-MS additions led to an increase in the characteristic glass transition temperature of *** flow index(MFi)of neat TpU was highly improved after MS loading regardless of modification *** to the wear test,surface modification of MS displayed a positive effect on the wear resistance of *** the water absorption data of the composites were evaluated,the TpU/AS-MS composite yielded the lowest water *** silane layer on MS inclusion promoted water repellency of composites due to the hydrophobicity of *** results of the biodegradation

A Hybrid Machine Learning Approach for improvised Qoe in Video Services over 5G Wireless Networks

Video streaming applications have grown considerably in recent *** a result,this becomes one of the most significant contributors to global internet *** to recent studies,the telecommunications industry loses millions of dollars due to poor video Quality of experience(Qoe)for *** the standard proposals for standardizing the quality of video streaming over internet service providers(iSps)is the Mean Opinion Score(MOS).However,the accurate finding of Qoe by MOS is subjective and laborious,and it varies depending on the user.A fully automated data analytics framework is required to reduce the inter-operator variability characteristic in Qoe *** work addresses this concern by suggesting a novel hybrid XGBStackQoe analytical model using a two-level layering *** one combines multiple Machine Learning(ML)models via a layer one Hybrid *** ML models at level one are trained using the entire training data *** level two Hybrid XGBStackQoe-Model is fitted using the outputs(meta-features)of the layer one ML *** proposed model outperformed the conventional models,with an accuracy improvement of 4 to 5 percent,which is still higher than the current traditional *** proposed framework could significantly improve video Qoe accuracy.

The halide migration effect in mixed-halide lead-based perovskite is a serious problem hindering the development of its display *** this study,we have successfully addressed this issue by reporting formadinium(FA)doped mixed-halide perovskite nanocrystals(NCs)with ultra-deep-blue emission of 450 nm,narrow bandwidth of 16 nm,and a high photoluminescence quantum yield(pLQY)of 66%.The perovskite nanocrystal light-emitting diodes(NC-LeDs)using this nanocrystal as an active layer achieved a maximum external quantum efficiency(eQe)of 0.32%,30-fold improved compared to that of pristine and stable electroluminescence(eL)spectra at 450 nm under a 4.9–8.0 V *** findings demonstrate the potential of our approach in developing stable and efficient deep blue perovskite NC-LeDs.

Chirality enables thermal magnon transistors

We report a theory of thermal spin pumping into proximity magnets under a transverse-bias-driven heat flow of magnons in magnetic films when the dipolar coupling to the magnetic gate is tuned to be “chiral”. While there is no rectification of the magnon current in the film, we predict that chirality diverts a large percentage(50% for perfect chirality) of it into the gate. This transverse thermal spin pumping effect can be controlled by rotating the film magnetization and may help manage the heat flow in future magnonic circuits.

Machine-learned augmentations to turbulence models can be advantageous for flows within the training dataset but can often cause harm *** lack of generalizability arises because the constants(as well as the functions)in a Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes(RANS)model are coupled,and un-constrained re-calibration of these constants(and functions)can disrupt the calibrations of the baseline model,the preservation of which is critical to the model's *** safeguard the behaviors of the baseline model beyond the training dataset,machine learning must be constrained such that basic calibrations like the law of the wall are kept *** letter aims to identify such constraints in two-equation RANS models so that future machine learning work can be performed without violating these *** demonstrate that the identified constraints are not ***,they help preserve the generalizability of the baseline model.

Dental pulp stem/stromal cells(DpSCs)are fibroblast-like,neural crest-derived,and multipotent cells that can differentiate into several *** are relatively easy to isolate from healthy and inflamed pulps,with little ethical concerns and can be successfully cryopreserved and *** therapeutic effects of DpSCs derived from animal or human sources have been extensively studied through in-vitro and in-vivo animal experiments and the findings indicated that DpSCs are effective not only for dental diseases but also for systemic *** that translational research is a critical step through which the fundamental scientific discoveries could be translated into applicable diagnostics and therapeutics that directly benefit humans,several clinical studies were carried out to generate evidence for the efficacy and safety of autogenous or allogeneic human DpSCs(hDpSCs)as a treatment modality for use in cell-based therapy,regenerative medicine/dentistry and tissue *** clinical medicine,hDpSCs were effective for treating acute ischemic stroke and human exfoliated deciduous teeth-conditioned medium(SHeD-CM)repaired vascular damage of the corpus cavernous,which is the main cause of erectile *** in clinical dentistry,autologous SHeD was able to rege-nerate necrotic dental pulp after implantation into injured teeth,and micrografts enriched with autologous hDpSCs and collagen sponge were considered a treatment option for human intrabony *** contrast,hDpSCs did not add a significant regenerative effect when they were used for the treatment of post-extraction ***-scale clinical studies across diverse populations are still lacking to provide robust evidence on the safety and efficacy of hDpSCs as a new treatment option for various human diseases including dental-related problems.

Novel Framework for an intrusion Detection System Using Multiple Feature Selection Methods Based on Deep Learning

intrusion detection systems (iDSs) are deployed to detect anomalies in real time. They classify a network’s incoming traffic as benign or anomalous (attack). An efficient and robust iDS in software-defined networks is an inevitable component of network security. The main challenges of such an iDS are achieving zero or extremely low false positive rates and high detection rates. internet of Things (ioT) networks run by using devices with minimal resources. This situation makes deploying traditional iDSs in ioT networks unfeasible. Machine learning (ML) techniques are extensively applied to build robust iDSs. Many researchers have utilized different ML methods and techniques to address the above challenges. The development of an efficient iDS starts with a good feature selection process to avoid overfitting the ML model. This work proposes a multiple feature selection process followed by classification. in this study, the Software-defined networking (SDN) dataset is used to train and test the proposed model. This model applies multiple feature selection techniques to select high-scoring features from a set of features. Highly relevant features for anomaly detection are selected on the basis of their scores to generate the candidate dataset. Multiple classification algorithms are applied to the candidate dataset to build models. The proposed model exhibits considerable improvement in the detection of attacks with high accuracy and low false positive rates, even with a few features selected.

effects of synthesis parameters on the performance of crosslinked Co-polymers with clays for conformance control

Conformance control or water shut-off is a technique used to improve oil *** conformance control,polymers block high permeability water areas and redistribute water drive toward unswept oil *** this study,co-polymers(denoted ATp-pGV/AM-co-AMpS)were synthesized using acrylamide(AM)and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid(AMpS)as the monomers,polyethylene glycol(peG)-200 and methylenebisacrylamide(MBA)as the crosslinkers,attapulgite(ATp)and bentonite(pGV)as the clay types,and ammonium persulfate(ApS)as the initiator,in addition to paraffin oil and *** were synthesized using inverse emulsion polymerization with different concentrations of monomers,crosslinkers,and clays,and they were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared(FTiR)spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SeM)with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(eDX).FTiR spectra of the samples confirmed the existence of sulfonate and hydroxyl groups,which are important for polymer ***-eDX images indicated that the morphology and elemental composition were different before and after swelling,confirming the occurrence of ***,samples were placed in sodium chloride solution(20,000 ppm)for 7 days to evaluate swelling at both room temperature and 90°*** analysis(TGA)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)were used to determine the thermal characteristics of the ***,rheological measurements were used to assess the deformation and rheological behavior of the *** results showed that after 1 day,good swelling without loss of mechanical strength was achieved with the composite synthesized using 10%AM,15%AMpS,6%pGV,and 10%ATp.
