Background:Optimal patterns of accrual of recommended levels of physical activity(pA)for prevention of hypertension and obesity are not *** overall aim of this study was to investigate whether different patterns of accumulation of pA are differentially associated with hypertension and obesity in Australian women over 21 ***,we investigated whether,for the same weekly volume of pA,the number of sessions(frequency)and vigorousness of pA(intensity)were associated with a reduction in the occurrence of hypertension and obesity in ***:Data from the 1973-1978 and 1946-1951 cohorts of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health were analyzed(n=20,588;12%-16%with a Bachelor's or higher degree).Self-reported pA,hypertension,height,and weight were collected using mail surveys every 3 years from 1998/2000 to 2019/*** estimating equation models with a 3-year lag model were used to investigate the association of pA volume(metabolic equivalent min/week)(none;33-499;500-999;≥1000,weekly frequency(none;1-2 times;3-4times;5-7 times;≥8 times),and the proportion of vigorous pA to total volume of pA(none;0%;1%-33%;34%-66%;67%-100%)with odds of hypertension and obesity from 2000 to ***:The cumulative incidence of hypertension was 6%in the 1973-1978 and 23%in the 1946-1951 cohort;27%of women in the 1973-1978;and 15%in the 1946-1951 cohort developed obesity over the ***,a higher volume of pA was associated with reduced odds of hypertension and *** the volume of pA was considered,the odds of hypertension did not vary according to the frequency or intensity of ***,increased proportion of vigorous pA to the total volume of pA was associated with a small additional reduction in the risk of obe ***:pA volume appears to be more important than the pattern of accumulation for the prevention of hypertension and *** more sessions,particularly of vigorous-intensity pA,may provide extr

Simplified seismic scenario analysis of existing masonry buildings accounting for local site effects

This study discusses the effects of local sites and hazard amplification on the seismic vulnerability assessment of existing masonry *** this context,a rapid seismic evaluation procedure was implemented on an old masonry building stock in the historical center Galata,located inistanbul,to determine the seismic risk priority of the built *** scenarios were generated for all soil classes,different moment magnitudes,and source-to-site distances to obtain more accurate results for the seismic vulnerability assessment of the studied building ***,damage distributions estimated under nine different scenarios with/without site effects were compared and illustrated in maps to discuss changes in vulnerability owing to amplification *** this study,by re-examining the rapid seismic evaluation procedure by including geo-hazard-based assessment,the importance of site effects on the vulnerability and risk assessment of built heritage was *** proposed framework integrating field data and local site effects is believed to advance the current applications for vulnerability assessment of masonry buildings and provide an improvement in the application of rapid seismic assessment procedures with more reliable results.

Developing a two-decadal time-record of rice field maps using Landsat-derived multi-index image collections with a random forest classifier:A Google earth engine based approach

Historic maps showing the temporal distribution of rice fields are important for precision agriculture,irrigation optimisation,forecasting crop yields,land use management and formulating ***,mapping rice felds using traditional ground surveys is impractical when high cost,time and labour requirements are considered,and the availability of such detailed records is *** satellite remote sensing appears to be a viable solution,conventional segmentation and classification methods with spectral bands are often unable to contrast the distinct characteristics between rice fields and other vegetation *** this end,we explored a novel,Google earth engine(Gee)based multiindex random forest(RF)classification approach to map rice fields over two *** images from 2000 to 2020 of two Sri Lankan rice cultivation districts were extracted from Gee and a multi-index RF classification algorithm was applied to distinguish the rice *** results showed above 80%accuracy for both training and validation,when compared against high spatial resolution Google earth *** essence,multi-index sampling and RF together synergised the compelling classifcation accuracy by effectively capturing vegetation,water(ponding)and soil characteristics unique to the rice felds using a single-click *** maps developed in this study were further compared against the MODiS land cover type product(MCD12Q1)and the corresponding superior statistics on rice fields demonstrated the robustness of the proposed *** work seeking effective index combinations is recommended,and this approach can potentially be extended to other crop analyses elsewhere.

KLnF_(4):Yb^(3+),er^(3+)/Ho^(3+)(Ln=Y,Yb,Gd)phosphors were prepared by solid-state reaction *** each of the Yb^(3+)/er^(3+)and Yb^(3+)/Ho^(3+)co-doped phosphors independently,phase confirmation and morphological examination were accomplished using the X-ray diffraction technique and scanning electron microscope analysis.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis shows the charge state and existence of lanthanides and *** luminescence emissions of green and red colour were detected for the synthesized *** changes in the upconverted emission intensities and colour output pertaining to the change of the lanthanide host matrix along with dopants were investigated for the prepared *** the upconversion luminescence,erbium-doped samples exhibit a predominance of red emission while holmium-doped samples display a prevalence of green *** rare-earth er/Ho doped KYbF4shows strong red emission compared to other ***_(4):Yb,er/Ho exhibits relatively significant green upconve rsion emissions,while Yb,er-doped KGdF_(4)host displays a 10-fold increase in green/red emission ratio with an increase in the input power of 20-780 *** photoluminescence studies and decay curve analysis were carried out using UV light excitation for the developed phosphors.A higher lifetime of 2.2 ms was measured for the downshifting red emission in the Ho doped KYbF_(4)*** study suggests a potential for colour tunability in the upconversion and downshifting emissions through host modifications to the fluoride phosphor.

Slope stability of reclaimed coal mines through a new water filling index

A common reclamation practice for closed coal surface mines is filling them with water to form pit *** creation and sustainability of these lakes are significantly affected by the stability of the corresponding *** present study provides a general framework for analyzing the water filling’s effect on slope stability based on a new water filling index,which can indirectly consider the factors affecting the process and efficiently quantify the filling speed’s *** assumptions of the proposed approach are thoroughly discussed,and the range of the water filling index is ***,the safety factor is calculated using the finite element method with the shear strength reduction technique during the filling process for various conditions(soil properties,slope geometry,hydraulic conditions,and water filling speed).Results are presented as normalized stability charts for practical *** the water filling,the stability gradually decreases until the reservoir reaches a critical level of 10%e40%of the total height;it then increases to even more stable conditions than the initial ***,the present analysis allows for the preliminary stability evaluation of a coal mine during the formation of a pit lake and the appropriate quantification of the water filling’s effect.

enhancing high-temperature oxidation resistance(at 1000 °C) of nickel superalloy obtained by laser powder bed fusion via reactive electric spark treatment

The high-temperature oxidation resistance of the nickel superalloy grown by the Laser powder Bed Fusion (LpBF) has been significantly increased as a result of in-situ formation of a thermal barrier layer (α-Al2O3+ CaMoO4) during oxidative annealing of surface layers modified by electric spark treatment (eST). The reactive eST of the LpBF-built items based on nickel ep741Np alloy was carried out with low-melting Al-12%Si， Al-6%Ca-0.6%Si and Al-7%Ca-1%Mn electrodes. it was found that at eST done by Al-7%Ca-1%Mn electrode an intermetallic (β-NiAl + γ’-Ni3Al) 15 microns thick layer reinforced by spherical oxide (CaMe)O nanoparticles was formed. Formation of that structure increases the wear resistance of LpBF nickel superalloy by 4.5 times. Further oxidative annealing at 1000 °C lead to a formation of continuous two-layered coating with an inner layer of α-Al2O3and an outer layer of CaMoO4， which together act as an effective barrier preventing the diffusion of oxygen into the volume of the superalloy.

investigation of the transformation of organic matter of carbonate deposits of the Semiluksky-Mendymsky horizon under hydrothermal conditions

The paper presents the results of studies on the transformation of the organic matter of siliceous-clayey carbonate rocks of the Semiluksko-Mendymsky horizon of the Romashkino oil field in a hydrothermal fluid for an hour（with a water-to-rock ratio of 33） at 340℃ and 380℃ and pressu res of 17 and 20 *** a result of hydrothermal treatment,at 340℃ and 17 Mpa,based on nitrogen porosimetry and electron microscopy data,transformations of rock-forming minerals in the rock are *** lead to an increase in the volume and average diameter of mesopores in it and the formation of micropores,as well,which improve its filtration *** the same time,the amount of kerogen in the composition of the organic matter decreases and the yield of the petroleum hydrocarbon extract increases,in which,according to the SARA analysis,the content of asphaltenes increases and the content of resins,aromatic and saturated hydrocarbons *** the composition of aroatic hydrocarbons,the proportion of a lkyltri methyl benzenes and dibenzothiophenes increases,phenanthrene homologues appear,and in the composition of saturated hydrocarbons,the amount of iso-structure alkanes decreases relative to the content of linear *** the temperature and pressure of the hydrothermal fluid to 380℃ and 20 Mpa increases the degree of kerogen conversion from 12.4% to 23.6%.At the same time,changes occurring in the component composition of petroleum hydrocarbon extracts remains similar to the experiments carried out at 340℃ and 17 Mpa;the content of naphthalenes decreases,the content of dibenzothiophenes increases and C11-C17,C19-C22alkyltrimethylbenzenes *** to iR spectroscopy,with increasing temperature and pressure of the hydrothermal fluid the intensity of the absorption bands of the aromatic ring,aliphatic fragments,and oxygen-containing groups increases in resins;the structural-group composition of asphaltenes changes little:aromaticity and the content of condensed

Selection of shaped charges parameters for producing aluminum particles with velocities in the range of 2.5-16 km/s

Testing rocket and space technology objects in ground conditions for resistance to the impact of meteoroids and fragments of space debris can be carried out using shaped charges. To substantiate the design parameters of shaped charges that ensure the formation of aluminum particles in a wide velocity range(from 2.5 to 16 km/s), numerical modeling of the formation process was carried out within the framework of a two-dimensional axisymmetric problem of continuum mechanics using three different computing codes to increase the reliability of the results. The calculations consider shaped charges with a diameter of 20-100 mm with aluminum liners of various shapes. it is shown that the formation of particles with velocities close to the lower limit of the considered range is ensured by gently sloping segmental liners of degressive thickness. To form higher-velocity particles with velocities over 5 km/s, it is proposed to use combined liners, the jet-forming part of which has the shape of a hemisphere of constant thickness or the shape of a semi-ellipsoid or semi-superellipsoid of rotation of degressive thickness.

A paper analytical device (pAD) was developed for the colourimetric estimation of alkaline phosphatase (ALp). ALp catalyzes the hydrolysis of disodium phenyl phosphate (DSpp) to phenol, which then undergoes oxidative coupling with4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAp) producing a reddish brown-coloured quinone imine. The colourimetric reaction tested in solution has been translated onto a pAD for the point of care (poC) testing of ALp. A uniform colour was obtained in 25 min with the introduction of ALp onto the reagent drop cast paper device. The images obtained by scanning the pAD were processed using imageJ software. The colour intensity obtained by image processing was proportional to the concentration of ALp present in the sample. ALp in serum and saliva samples were tested using the pAD in the range of 0 to 528 U/L and0 to 187 U/L, respectively. The interference studies revealed that the pAD was selective to ALp in the presence of other biomolecules. The pAD exhibited a limit of detection (LOD) of 3.3 U/L and a sensitivity of 48.36 a.u/Log(U/L) for serum ALp and LOD of 1.69 U/L and a sensitivity of 28.5 a.u/Log (U/L) for salivary ALp. The pAD showed good agreement with the clinical methods for real samples.
