Endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced NLRP3.inflammasome activation as a novel mechanism of polystyrene microplastics (PS-MPs)-induced pulmonary inflammation in chickens

Microplastics(MPs)have attracted growing attention worldwide as an increasingly prevalent environmental *** addition,chicken meat is currently the most widely consumed kind of poultry in the global *** demand for chicken is on the rise both at home and *** a result,the safety of chicken raising has also received significant *** lungs play an essential role in the physiological activities of chickens,and they are also the most vulnerable *** injury is difficult to repair after the accumulation of contaminants,and the mortality rate is high,which brings huge economic losses to *** research on the toxicity of MPs has mainly focused on the marine ecosystem,while the mechanisms of toxicity and lung damage in chickens have been poorly ***,this study explored the effects of exposure to polystyrene microplastics(PS-MPs)at various concentrations for 42 d on chicken ***-MPs could cause lung pathologies and ultrastructural abnormalities,such as endoplasmic reticulum(ER)swelling,inflammatory cell infiltration,chromatin agglutination,and plasma membrane ***,PS-MPs increased the expression of genes related to the heat shock protein family(Hsp60,Hsp70,and Hsp90),ER stress signaling(activating) transcription factor 6(ATF0),ATF4,protein kinase RNA-like ER kinase(PERK),and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunitα(eIF2a),pyroptosis-related genes(NOD)-,LRR-and pyrin domain-containing protein 3.NLRP3.,apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase recruitment domain(ASC),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinase 1(Caspasel),and gasdermin-D(GSDMD),and the inflammatory signaling pathway(nuclear factor-kB(NF-kB),inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2).The above results showed that PS-MP exposure could result in lung stress,ER stress,pyroptosis,and inflammation in *** findings provide new scientific clues for further research o

The Gaoaobei tungsten-molybdenum deposit is a newly discovered large-scale quartzvein-type deposit in the Nanling metallogenic belt in South *** ore bodies are hosted in the Indosinian granites and the Cambrian Xiangnan Group slates and are controlled by NWW-oriented faults,which are obviously different from the“five-story building”model in southern Jiangxi *** magmatic rocks in the study area are dominated by medium-to coarse-grained biotite monzogranite,with a few NW-oriented fine-grained granite *** medium-to coarse-grained biotite monzogranite and fine-grained granite dykes have zircon U-Pb ages of 229.4±1.9 ma(MSWD=1.5)and 164.9±3.3.ma(MSWD=0.75),respectively,corresponding to the Indosinian and Yanshanian *** monzogranites have higher contents of FeO,CaO,K2O,P2O5,and TiO2,while the granite dykes have slightly higher contents of SiO2,Al2O3.MnO,and *** A/CNK values are 1.11-1.75 and 1.19-2.25,and the contents of CIPW normative corundum are 1.71%-6.66%and 2.41%-9.50%,suggesting both the monzogranites and granite dykes are S-type *** total amount of rare earth elements in the monzogranites(from 84.7 ppm to 129 ppm)is slightly lower than that in the granite dykes(from 128 ppm to 13. ppm).The Eu/Eu*values range from 0.12 to 0.3. in monzogranites and from 0.0011 to 0.0013.in granite dykes,indicating the fine-grained granites underwent more intense fractional *** monzogranite and granite dykes have high 87Sr/86Sri values of 0.7169-0.7193.and 0.72825-0.72880,lowεNd(t)values ranging from-10.2 to-9.6 and from-11.5 to-11.4,and TDM2 ages of 183.-1785 and 1957-1946 ma,*** isotope data indicate their origin from the remelting of the Paleoproterozoic crustal *** with regional geology,it is concluded that the medium-to coarse-grained biotite monzogranite was formed in a post-collisional extensional *** addition,40Ar-3.Ar dating of the greisen type tungsten-molybdenum ore gave

The size effect and analogous boundary states in a circular non-Hermitian chain

We investigate the size effect and boundary states based on a circular non-Hermitian chain under the nonreciprocal intra-cell coupling and inter-cell coupling *** find that the circular non-Hermitian chain exhibits an even–odd effect on the unit cell corresponding to a large chain,which is different from the open non-Hermitian chain only exhibiting the same effect for a small ***,we find that the originally localized bulk states become totally extended via designing the boundary coupling strength *** extended bulk states reveal the fact of the disappearance of the non-Hermitian skin *** particular,we show that the circular non-Hermitian chain also possesses the analogous edge states under some parameter regimes,which is pretty counterintuitive since the circular chain usually cannot define a *** investigations supply the different non-Hermitian phenomena in a circular non-Hermitian chain.

Fracture geometry and breakdown pressure of radial borehole fracturing in multiple layers

Selective adsorption of paraffins over olefins（mostly C2 and C3. by porous solids could offer tremendous advantages for the purification of olefins, which is, however, challenging as it has stringent requirements on the pore dimensions and pore surface chemistry of the adsorbent. We report here a metal-organic framework（MOF） with novel topology, Y3.μ3.OH）(TCMPB)2(denoted as HIAM-3.6, TCMPB4-= 1,2,4,5-tetra（4-carboxy-3.methylphenyl）benzene), which shows reversed separation of C2H6/C2H4and C3.8/C3.6simultaneously. The ideal adsorbed solution theory（IAST） selectivities for equimolar binary mixtures of C2H6/C2H4and C3.8/C3.6were calculated to be 1.67 and 1.23.at 1 bar and 298 K for HIAM-3.6. Its capability of removing paraffines from paraffin/olefin mixtures is validated by breakthrough measurements. Molecular simulations reveal that the preferential adsorption of paraffins over olefins by HIAM-3.6 may be attributed to the abundant carboxylate oxygen atoms along its channel.
