In this paper. it is demonstrated that there exist marine horizons in the upper part of the lower subcycleand the upper subeycle of the Kizilsu Group in Xinjiang. based on new evidence of authigenic glauconite.boron content. carbon and oxygen stablc isotopic analyses. and lithological and sedimentary features. The up-per part of the lower subeycle is the lowermost marine horizon of the Cretaceous in the western Tarim Basin,which is inferred to be of Barremian age.

Based on the phase diagram, the coexistence theory of the metallic melt structure involving compoundformation and the regularity of melts containing saturated phase, a calculating model of mass action concentrationsfor Mn-C melts was formulated. According to the activities (or activity coefficients AM. and γc.), obtained by theUnified Interaction Parameter Model (UIPM), the thermodynamic parameters G and G at higher temperatures (1628～1873.K) were optimized by the repeated try and error method. It is testified that G G(873.1273.K) and G (298～1623.K), obtained at lower temperatures, can also be used at the above-mentionedhigher temperatures. The calculated N. and N agree well with ac. and ac obtained by UIPM. This result showsthat the deduced model can reflect the structural reality of Mn-C melts.

The basic method for designing and calculating reasonable jig cycle of movable screen jig was presented. The reasonabilityand reliability of designed jig cycle were verified by' means of the test on artificial mixed materials. An iron ore (12-100 mm) was treatedin tile TJD-75 model movable screen jig with the jig cycle. The good results were achieved. This would provide a reliable basis for designof commercial movable-screen jig.

The theorems for testing the local in one-port cellular neural/inear network (CNN) cells with four local state variables are presented. Using the theorems computes the bifurcation diagrams of the cardiac Purkinje fiber (CPE) equations Which describethe long-lasting action and pace-maker potentials of the Purkinje fiber of the heart. The computer simulation shows that periodic trajectories or convergent trajectories of the CPF Equations can be foun if the cormsponing cell Parameters are located in a positive domainbut nearby edge of chaos. In particular a heart with approximate normal frequency of heartbeat but non-normal electrocardiogram maysuddenly stop by slightly perturbing the parameters of the corresponding CPF Equations when the Paramders are located nearby the edge of chaos in the bifurcation diagrams. This research seems to interpret reasonbly the phenomena that patients with cardiac diseases might suddenly die without warning.

Castex of AS wire is a new technology of near net shape. To study the variation of temperature and velocity of liquid (or semisolid) aluminum during dynamic solidification the numerical simulation was carried out with the theory of heat-transfer and hydrodynamics by means of 3.dimensional finite element method. From simulation results, it is found that the variation of temperature and velocityis mainly influenced by the casting temperature of aluminum, rotating speed of Castex wheel and flow of cooling water. Among theseinfluencing factors, the casting temperature distributes most to the length of liquid phase metal. Moreover, the faster the metal solidifies,the higher the metal there moves with the overall trend of descending from the bottom of the wheel to the shoe wall as well as from sidewalls to the center of wheel groove. In comparison with the practical value, the simulation is reliable.

Four rock assemblages in correspondence with two different tectonic settings have been recognized in the NEE-SWW extending HP-UHP metamorphic belt in southwestern Tianshan, northwest china. Eclogite assemblage EC1 is geochemically akin to alkaline within-plate oceanic island basalt (OIB). EC2 shows affinity to enriched mid-oceanic ridge basalt (EMORB). Rare earth element (REE) and other immobile trace element characteristics of blueschist assemblage BS1 resemble those of normal mid-oceanic ridge basalt (NMORB). These three assemblages are likely formed on a seamount setting, and the prevalent presence of carbonate minerals and om-phacite quartzite stripes/gobbets suggests ancient pelagic sediments including marls are probably developed upon the basaltic seamount. Whereas the geochemical characteristics of BS2 assemblage are of volcanic arc basalt-type. The seamount with the pelagic sediments on it is brought into the subduction zone, and volcanic arc basalts formed on the active continental margin and trench sediments are eroded and enwrapped in the subducting mass, they are altogether subjected to high to ultrahigh pressure metamorphism and subsequent exhumation towards surface. The HP-UHP metamorphic belt is thus interpreted as a subduct ion-accretionary complex formed by tectonic juxtaposition and imbrication of seamount, seafloor, trench and volcanic arc sequences during oceanic crust subduction.

Abundant studies revealed that shallow intrusions of the Yanshanian epoch resulted in the mass mineralization of the Tongling region. Various evidences showed there existed a concealed magma chamber at ?10 km depth in the middle part of this region during Yanshanian epoch, from which the ore-forming magma was generated and then transported to the superficial layer. Yet the transport network and flow mechanism of the shallow ore-bearing magma, the key problem associ- ated with ore-forming process, was relatively little focused on. Integrate analysis of structural me- chanics, statistical fractal and geological facts suggested that NE trending high-angle fold-related thrust faults and the tessellated basement ones served as the main pathways for the shallow magma’s transporting, moreover, the saddle void spaces among adjacent strata in the folds upon this fault system provided the place for magma’s emplacement. So the folds in the upper part and faults in the lower part of the upper crust constituted the fluid’s transport and emplacement network. During the deformation of geologic body with multi-layer structure, the layers in the upper part tended to fold when received the jacking stress from the lower part, while the lower one inclined to fault undergoing loads of the upper part. And the producing probability of this structure assemblage was highly in- creased in the condition, such as in the Tongling area, that the mechanic rigidity of the lower layers was stronger than that of the upper ones. For the pre-existence of fluid-conducting network, the top magma with high volatile in the magma chamber transported rapidly to the superficial layer in dyking pattern, located in the void spaces of folds, filled and reconstructed them. The sudden drop of pres- sure caused the fluid unmixing from the magma and mass ore-forming elements concentration. According to phase diagrams, measured activities as well as the coexistence theory of motallic melts structure involving compound formation, the calculating models of mass action concentrations for Ni-Mn and Co-Mn melts are formulated and their thermodynamic parameters are optimized. As a result, the calculated mass action concentrations agree well with the corresponding measured activities, showing that these models can reflect the structural characteristics of both Ni-Mn and Co-Mn melts.

Based on the phase diagrams, reliable reference experimental data and the coexistence theory of metallic melts structure involving compound formation, calculating models of mass action concentrations for Fe-P and Cr-P melts have been formulated. At the same time, some of their thermodynamic parameters have been optimized. The calculated results not only agree well with the measuredvalues, but also obey the mass action law rigorously, this in turn shows that these models can reflect the structural characteristics of corresponding melts.
