Multidimensional coupled structure-activity relationship models for replacement of SF_(6)

Computational screening of single gases to replace SF_(6)for electrical insulation has been challenged by the difficulty in combining various mutually exclusive properties especially for dielectric performance with liquefaction and environmental *** reveal the inherent correlations between dielectric strength(Er),boiling point(Tb),and global warming potential(GWP)of dielectric materials,a coupled structure-activity relationship(CSAR)model has been proposed for the first *** means of the generic descriptors,as deduced from the electrostatic potentials,and the specific descriptors,as introduced from the respective microscopic mechanisms,the complex interdependence between Er,Tb,and GWP of the insulation gases is quantitatively characterised by the 3.D coupling *** coupling mechanism for the right balance of properties is uncovered in terms of the first-principle *** CSAR model outperforms the previous SAR models in predicting Er,Tb,and GWP simultaneously in a self-consistent *** importantly,the concept of CSAR could be extended readily to any multidimensional macroscopic *** replacement compounds have been identified tentatively to be the promising candidates to replace SF_(6)using the CSAR model.

BACKGROUND The measurement of triceps skinfold(TSF)thickness serves as a noninvasive metric for evaluating subcutaneous fat *** its clinical utility,the TSF thickness trajectories and their correlation with overall mortality have not been thoroughly *** To explore TSF thickness trajectories of Chinese adults and to examine their associations with all-cause *** This study encompassed a cohort of 14747 adults sourced from the China Health and Nutrition *** class trajectory modeling was employed to identify distinct trajectories of TSF *** were classified into subgroups reflective of their respective TSF thickness *** utilized multivariate Cox regression analyses and mediation examinations to explore the link between TSF thickness trajectory and overall mortality,including contributory *** Upon adjustment for multiple confounding factors,we discerned that males in the‘Class 2:Thin-stable’and‘Class 3.Thin-moderate’TSF thickness trajectories exhibited a markedly reduced risk of mortality from all causes in comparison to the‘Class 1:Extremely thin’*** the mediation analyses,the Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index was found to be a partial intermediary in the relationship between TSF thickness trajectories and *** females,a lower TSF thickness pattern was significantly predictive of elevated all-cause mortality risk exclusively within the non-elderly *** In males and non-elderly females,lower TSF thickness trajectories are significantly predictive of heightened mortality risk,independent of single-point TSF thickness,body mass index,and waist circumference.

Objective: Inflammation and fibrosis are strongly associated with each other. Glycine is present in various traditional Chinese medicines and exhibits anti-inflammatory activity. However, the effects of glycine on myocardial fibrosis(MF) in rats with myocardial infarction(MI) have not been reported. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of glycine therapy on MF and comprehend its underlying mechanisms. Materials and Methods: Left anterior descending artery ligation-induced MI in Sprague Dawley rats was leveraged to assess the therapeutic effects of Glycine. Rats received either normal saline or glycine(0.5 mg/g bodyweight) for 7 days. Results: Glycine upregulated cardiac ejection fraction and fractional shortening to improve cardiac function, as evaluated by echocardiography. Histological and immunohistochemical analyses demonstrated that glycine could decrease inflammatory cell infiltration and alleviate collagen deposition. Western blotting revealed that nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)-mediated inflammatory signaling was also downregulated by glycine treatment. The expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 3.STAT3., tumor necrosis factor-α, and transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β) was decreased significantly in the glycine-treated group compared to the model group. Thus, glycine plays a protective role against myocardial ischemia and subsequent MF. Conclusion: The protective effects of glycine were achieved partly through STAT3.NF-κB/TGF-β signaling pathway.
