Development and Application of High Performance X80 Line Pipe for the 2^(nd) West-East Gas Pipeline

It is the development tendency of gas pipeline to improve strength of line pipe and transmission pressure, which is an important symbol of the progress of gas pipeline technology. The 2nd West-East Gas Pipeline (the 2 nd WEGP) is the largest-scale X80 high pressure gas pipeline project in the world. Through the joint development project by Pipeline Company, research institute, and steel company, a series of achievements of technology have been obtained, which makes it possible to apply pressure of 1. MPa and X80 LSAW and HSAW pipe for the 2 nd WEGP. Specifications of X80 steel and pipe have been issued based on API 5L. High performance X80 steel and pipe have been developed and meets the Specification. General design conception of applying HSAW pipe and LSAW pipe on gas transmission trunk line with large diameter and high pressure has been established. Failure control of the 2 nd WEGP has been carried out to avoid failure and reduce the lost which based on analysis of pipeline failure mode. In this paper, research and development of high performance X80 welded pipe, establishment of technical route of joint application of HSAW and LSAW steel pipe and key technology of failure control are emphatically discussed.

Transforming liquid flow fuel cells to controllable reactors for highlyefficient oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2, 5-furandicarboxylic acid at low temperature

Highly-efficient oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurtural(HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA) at low temperature with air as the oxidant is still ***,inspired by the respirato ry electron transport chain(ETC) of living cells mediated by electron carriers,we constructed artificial ETCs and transformed liquid flow fuel cells(LFFCs) to flexible reactors for efficient oxidation of HMF to produce FDCA under mild *** LFFC reactor employed an electrodeposition modified nickel foam as an anode to promote HMF oxidation and(VO_(2))_(2)SO_(4) as a cathode electron carrier to facilitate the electron transfer to *** reaction rate could be easily controlled by selecting the anode catalyst,adjusting the external loading and changing the cathodic electron carrier or oxidants.A maximal power density of 44.9 mW cm^(-2) at room temperature was achieved,while for FDCA production,short-circuit condition was preferred to achieve quick transfer of *** a single batch operation with 0.1.M initial HMF,FDCA yield reached 97.1..By fed-batch operation,FDCA concentration reached 1.4.5 g L^(-1. with a total yield of 96%.Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3.) redox couple was the active species mediating the electron transfer,while both experimental and DFT calculation results indicated that HMFCA pathway was the preferred reaction mechanism.

Enhancing electrochemical capacity and interfacial stability of lithium-ion batteries through side reaction modulation with ultrathin carbon nanotube film and optimized lithium cobalt oxide particle size

Lithium cobalt oxide(LCO),the first commercialized cathode active {1. for lithium-ion batteries,is known for high voltage and ***,its application has been limited by relatively low capacity and stability at high *** particle size is considered one of the most straightforward and effective strategies to enhance ion transfer,thus increasing the rate ***,side reactions are simultaneously enhanced as the specific surface area ***,we investigate the impact of LCO particles with varying size distributions and optimize the particle *** modulate the side reactions associated with particle size reduction,an ultrathin carbon nanotube film(UCNF)is introduced to coat the cathode *** this simple process and optimized particle size,the rate performance improves significantly,normal commercial LCO achieves 1.8 mA·h·g^(−1.at 3.0–4.3.V and 20 C(0.72 mA·h·cm^(−2)),corresponding to power density of 873. W·kg^(−1..This method is applied to high voltage as well,1.2 mA·h·g^(−1.at 3.0–4.6 V and 20 C(0.99 mA·h·cm^(−2))was achieved with high-voltage LCO(HVLCO),corresponding to power density of 1.,552 W·kg^(−1..The cycling stability is also enhanced,with the capacity retention maintaining more than 96%after 1.0 cycles at 0.1.*** the first time,UCNF is demonstrated to suppress the excessive decomposition of the electrolytes and solvents by blocking electron injection/extraction between LCO and electrolyte *** findings provide a simple method for improving LCO rate performance,especially at high C-rates.

Effects of hot deformation and in-situ ZrB2 particle on microstructure and tensile performance of AA7085 composite sheets

To provide a new idea to reduce anisotropy for sheets in the thickness direction by microstructure modification and,mean-while,maintain or even enhance tensile performance,the in-situ ZrB2 particle/AA7085 composite sheets with thicknesses of 1.2,3.and 6 mm were *** as-cast grain size was significantly refined by the heterogeneous nucleus of the ZrB2 *** microstructure results show that severe hot deformation converts as-cast disordered microstructure into a sequential microstructure by crushing the remanent phases and matrix into a fiber *** the solid solution and aging heat treatment,the composite sheets exhibit largely recrystallized grains compared with partially recrystallized grains in the matrix sheets,and weak or even free texture e{1.sts in the *** grain size in the composite sheets decreases with the increase in thickness *** the thickness range of 1.3.mm,the composite sheets maintain a similar tensile per-formance as that in matrix sheets,while the strength and ductility in the 6-mm-thick composite sheet are improved.

Electrical Breakdown Characteristic of Nanostructured W-Cu Contacts materials

Nanostructured （ NS ）W-Cu composite powder was prepared by mechanical alloying （ MA ）, and nanostructared bulk of W-Cu contact material was fabricated by hot press sintering in an electrical vacuum furnace. The rnicrostructure, electric conductivity, hardness and break down voltage of NS W- Cu alloys were measured and compared to those of conventional W-Cu alloys prepared by powder metallurg＇y. The experimental results show that microstructural refinement and uniformity can improve the breakdown behavior and the electric arc stability of nanostructared W- Cu contacts materials. Also, the wanostructured W- Cu contact material shows the characteristic of spreading electric arcs, which is of benefit to electric arc erosion.

The study of adsorption gas sensor based carbon nanotube film

The study of gas sensitivity of multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs), which is deposited by low press chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD), is presented. The results show that the pure MWNTs are not sensitive to the gases measured, while the composite film consisting of the MWNTs and silicon dioxide is sensitive to the methane, the hydrogen and the acetylene. The MWNTs and silicon dioxide composite film have the capacitance characteristic because of the formation of Schottky junctions within the MWNTs. The chemistry adsorption of the gas measured on the surface of the MWNTs affects the space discharge area of the Schottky junction, so that the dielectric constant changes with the gas concentration. That is why the gas is sensed.

MgH_(2) is a promising high-capacity solid-state hydrogen storage material,while its application is greatly hindered by the high desorption temperature and sluggish ***,intertwined 2D oxygen vacancy-rich V_(2)O_(5) nanosheets(H-V_(2)O_(5))are specifically designed and used as catalysts to improve the hydrogen storage properties of MgH_(2).The as-prepared MgH_(2)-H-V_(2)O_(5) composites exhibit low desorption temperatures(Tonset=1.5℃)with a hydrogen capacity of 6.54 wt%,fast kinetics(Ea=84.55±1.{1. kJ mol^(-1. H_(2) for desorption),and long cycling ***,hydrogen absorption can be achieved at a temperature as low as {1.℃ with a capacity of 2.{1. wt%within 60 ***,the composites maintain a capacity retention rate of~99%after 1.0 cycles at 275℃.Experimental studies and theoretical calculations demonstrate that the in-situ formed VH_(2)/V catalysts,unique 2D structure of H-V_(2)O_(5) nanosheets,and abundant oxygen vacancies positively contribute to the improved hydrogen sorption ***,the existence of oxygen vacancies plays a double role,which could not only directly accelerate the hydrogen ab/de-sorption rate of MgH_(2),but also indirectly affect the activity of the catalytic phase VH_(2)/V,thereby further boosting the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2).This work highlights an oxygen vacancy excited“hydrogen pump”effect of VH_(2)/V on the hydrogen sorption of Mg/MgH_(2).The strategy developed here may pave a new way toward the development of oxygen vacancy-rich transition metal oxides catalyzed hydride systems.

Large eddy simulation of flow in a street canyon with tree planting under various atmospheric instability conditions

In this work, a large eddy simulation (LES) model, which includes momentum and heat source (or sink) inside the tree planting layer, is proposed for the simulation of flow in a street canyon with tree planting. Vegetation canopy layer simulation shows that this model can be used to simulate the velocity distribution and temperature variation inside the canopy layer. Effects of atmospheric instability on flow and pollutant distribution in a street canyon with tree planting of an aspect ratio of 0.5 are studied. Results show that compared with the canyon with no tree planting (or the exposed street canyon), the canyon with tree planting shows a reduced wind circulation and pollutant exchange rate (PER) at the top layer of the street canyon, which induces the increase in the pollutant concentrations near road surface, leeward wall and windward wall. When street canyon atmosphere is under a strongly unstable condition, wind velocity decreases while pollutant concentration is increased in the areas near the street canyon top, road surface, leeward and windward walls, compared with the wind velocity in the street canyon with the neutral stratification. When street canyon atmosphere is under a weakly unstable condition, wind velocity weakens near the street canyon top and windward wall, but strengthens near the road surface and leeward wall, and pollutant concentration is decreased near the leeward and windward walls and is increased between the two rows of trees. When the street canyon atmosphere is under an unstable condition, PER is lower than that under the neutral stratification.

By means of infinite product of uniformly distributed probability spaces of cardinal n the concept of truth degrees of propositions in the n-valued generalized Lu- kasiewicz propositional logic system Ln^＊ is introduced in the present paper. It is proved that the set consisting of truth degrees of all formulas is dense in [0,1., and a general expres- sion of truth degrees of formulas as well as a deduction rule of truth degrees is then obtained. Moreover, similarity degrees among formulas are proposed and a pseudo-metric is defined therefrom on the set of formulas, and hence a possible framework suitable for developing approximate reasoning theory in n-valued generalized Lukasiewicz propositional logic is established.
