Linear temporal logic(LTL)is an intuitive and expressive language to specify complex control tasks,and how to design an efficient control strategy for LTL specification is still a *** this paper,we implement the dynamic quantization technique to propose a novel hierarchical control strategy for nonlinear control systems under LTL *** on the regions of interest involved in the LTL formula,an accepting path is derived first to provide a high-level solution for the controller synthesis ***,we develop a dynamic quantization based approach to verify the realization of the accepting *** realization verification results in the necessity of the controller design and a sequence of quantization regions for the controller ***,the techniques of dynamic quantization and abstraction-based control are combined together to establish the local-to-global control *** abstraction construction and controller design are local and dynamic,thereby resulting in the potential reduction of the computational *** each quantization region can be considered locally and individually,the proposed hierarchical mechanism is more efficient and can solve much larger problems than many existing ***,the proposed control strategy is illustrated via two examples from the path planning and tracking problems of mobile robots.

Impacts of multi-foulings on salinity gradient energy conversion process in negatively charged conical nanochannels

Effect of Incoming Vortex on Secondary Flows in Turbine Cascades with Planar and Non-Axisymmetric Endwall

Non-Axisymmetric Endwall Profiling(NAEP) is commonly utilized in turbines to eliminate secondary ***,most of the NAEP methods consider a single-blade row environment without incorporating the effect of the stage *** paper aims to investigate the influence mechanism of the incoming vortex on the endwall secondary flow structures of NAEP in a highly loaded turbine *** model the incoming vortex in a stage environment,this study considers a half-delta wing as the vortex generator at the upstream of the turbine *** NAEP is then carried out for a highly loaded turbine cascade with an in-house numerical optimization design platform subject to no incoming *** simulation is also carried out under the influence of the incoming vortex for the turbine cascades with both planar and non-axisymmetric *** paper furthers investigated the pitchwise effect of the incoming vortex on the near endwall secondary *** results indicate that the NAEP effectively improves the endwall secondary flow of the turbine cascade,where the total pressure loss coefficient and the secondary kinetic energy(SKE) are reduced by 7.3.,and 45.7%,*** is further seen that with the incoming vortex,the NAEP achieves a considerable control effect on the endwall secondary flow of the turbine *** incoming vortex,the NAEP can still achieve considerable control effect on the endwall secondary flow of the turbine cascade;the averaged reductions of loss coefficient and SKE are 7.8% and 14.2%,*** some pitchwise locations,incoming vortex can suppress the convection of cross-passage flow toward the suction corner greatly and reduce the loss coefficient of the baseline *** incoming vortex at 4/7 pitch impinged right at the blade leading edge,leading to the generation of low-momentum fluid,which increased the size and the strength of the horseshoe *** all the pitchwise locations,NAEP can suppress the seco

Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)are emerging as a powerful tool for inspections and repair works in large-scale and unstructured 3. infrastructures,but current approaches take a long time to cover the entire *** using UAVs for inspections and repair works puts forward a requirement of improving time efficiency in large-scale and cluster *** paper presents a hierarchical multi-UAV cooperative framework for infrastructure inspection and reconstruction to balance the workload and reduce the overall task completion *** proposed framework consists of two stages,the exploration stage and the exploitation stage,resolving the task in a sequential *** the exploration stage,the density map is developed to update global and local information for dynamic load-balanced area partition based on reconstructability and relative positions of UAVs,and the Voronoi-based planner is used to enable the UAVs to reach their best *** obtaining the global map,viewpoints are generated and divided while taking into account the battery capacity of each ***,a shortest path planning method is used to minimize the total traveling cost of these viewpoints for obtaining a high-quality *** experiments are conducted in both a simulated and real environment to show the time efficiency,robustness,and effectiveness of the proposed ***,the whole system is implemented in real applications.

Predication of Selective Ring-opening Hydrogenolysis for Furfuryl Alcohol to Produce Pentanediol over Dual-atom Catalysts

Selective activation of C-O bond is of fundamental importance in the precise conversion of oxygenates into value-added compounds in an atom-economic and sustainable manner, and meanwhile, the structurally well-defined dual-atoms catalysts (DACs) have been scarcely investigated in this field. In this study, a series of transition metal DACs anchored on nitrogen-doped graphene (TM2/NC, TM=Pt, Ir, Rh, Pd, Ru, Co, Ni and Cu) was constructed to make a comprehensive investigation of their selectivity in the hydrogenative transformation of furfuryl alcohol (FAL), an important biomass platform molecule, to 1,2-pentanediol (1,2-PeD) via selective cleavage of furanic C5-O bond, by density functional theory (DFT) calculations and microkinetic modeling. We found that Ir2/NC demonstrated a high selectivity for the cleavage of furanic C5-O bond to produce 1,2-PeD, while the production of THFAL or 1,5-pentanediol (1,5-PeD) on other TM2/NC catalysts are more favorable. Furthermore, we found that the selective C-O bond cleavage of FAL furan ring is affected by the orbital overlap between the d-orbitals of the anchored metal atoms and the p-orbitals of the adsorbed C atom in FAL, suggesting that the selectivity of the C-O bond cleavage is inextricably related with the electronic property of the anchored metals.

Efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine as adjunctive therapy in sepsis patients with bloodstream infection:a propensity-matched analysis

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy and safety of Chinese herbal medicine in treating sepsis patients with bloodstream ***:A 6-year retrospective study was carried out at a university hospital in *** sepsis patients with bloodstream infection were *** primary outcome was 28-day mortality after *** score method was used to adjust for possible confounding.28-day mortality was estimated by KaplanMeier analysis and compared using the log-rank *** regression analysis was carried out to identify factors impacting in-hospital mortality ***:Following the application of the propensity score method,a total of 176 patients were *** all-cause 28-day mortality in the control group and Chinese herbal medicine group was 21.6%and 14.8%,***-Meier survival analysis showed that Chinese herbal medicine was associated with a lower hazard ratio(HR)in all-cause 28-day death compared with the control group[HR=0.44,95%CI(0.22,0.90),P0.05).Blood-activating and stasis-eliminating herb administration was associated with reduced inhospital mortality among sepsis patients with bloodstream infection[HR=0.54,95%CI(0.3.,0.94),P<0.05].CONCLUSIONS:Chinese herbal medicine,especially the blood-activating and stasis-eliminating herb,might have certain efficacy and safety in treating sepsis patients with bloodstream *** should prescribe blood-activating and stasis-eliminating herb in treating these two coalescent critical diseases as long as no contraindications ***,further studies are needed to validate our results.
