The medium-temperature dependence of jet transport coefficient in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions

The medium-temperature T dependence of the jet transport coefficient̂q was studied via the nuclear modification factor RAA(p_(T))and elliptical flow parameter v_(2)(p_(T))for large transverse momentum p_(T) hadrons in high-energy nucleus-nucleus *** a next-to-leading-order perturbative QCD parton model for hard scatterings with modified fragmentation functions due to jet quenching controlled by q,we check the suppression and azimuthal anisotropy for large p_(T) hadrons,and extract q by global fits to RAA(pT)and v_(2)(pT)data in A+A collisions at RHIC and LHC,*** numerical results from the best fits show that q∕T^(3) goes down with local medium-temperature T in the parton jet *** with the case of a constant q∕T^(3),the going-down T dependence of q∕T^(3) makes a hard parton jet to lose more energy near T_(c) and therefore strengthens the azimuthal anisotropy for large pT *** a result,v_(2)(p_(T))for large pT hadrons was enhanced by approximately 10%to better fit the data at RHIC/*** the first-order phase transition from QgP to the hadron phase and the additional energy loss in the hadron phase,v_(2)(p_(T))is again enhanced by 5-10%at RHIC/LHC.

Curcumin Interferes with TgF-β1-Induced Fibrosis in NRK-49F Cells by Reversing ADAMTS18 gene Methylation

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism by which curcumin affects renal interstitial fibrosis(RIF)progression by regulating ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 18(ADAMTS18)*** NRK-49F cells RIF model were induced with transforming growth factorβ1(TgF-β1).Effects of different concentrations of curcumin(0,10,20,and 30μmol/L)on cell proliferation,cell cycle,cell apoptosis as well as cyclin D1 expression were analyzed by cell counting kit-8,flow cytometry and Western blot,***18 methylation levels were determined by methylation-specific polymerase chain ***18,fibronectin(FN),type I collagen(Col-I)and alpha-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)mRNA and protein expressions were analyzed by real-time PCR(RT-PCR)and Western blot,***,cells were treated with 50 mmol/L 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine(5-aza-dC,demethylation agent)for 72 *** of curcumin on extracellular matrix(ECM)deposition was evaluated by immunochemical staining and Western ***-49F cells were transfected with ADAMTS18 small interfering RNA and grouped into a normal control,ADAMTS18-knock-out(KO),and ADAMTS18-KO+30μmol/L curcumin groups,and whether curcumin can reverse the effect of ADAMTS18 knockdown on RIF was *** Compared with the control group,TgF-β1 significantly inhibited the proliferation of NRK-49F cells,blocked the g1/g0 phase,promoted cell apoptosis and inhibited cyclin D1 expression(Pg the different concentrations of curcumin,30μmol/L curcumin significantly reversed these processes(Pg and Western blot results showed that curcumin significantly inhibited the deposition of FN,Col-I andα-SMA(Pgistic effects,promoting ADAMTS18 expression,removing ADAMTS18 methylation,and reducing ECM ***18 knockdown promoted ECM accumulation,and curcumin reversed this process(PgF-β1-induced fibrosis in NRK-49F ***

In this study,we present a supramolecular templating approach for constructing polyimidazolium salt containing crown ether and cyclobutane *** strategy involves the formation of metal-carbene templates,photochemical cycloaddition,and subsequent demetallation of metal *** by the host-guest chemistry between crown ether units and ammonium salts,we successfully fabricated a supramolecular polymer SPN1,which features imidazolium receptors and cyclobutane *** obtained SPN1 demonstrates outstanding reversible stimulus-response,antibacterial behavior and conductivity.

Troy: Efficient Service Deployment for Windows Systems

The modern university computer lab and kindergarden through 12th grade classrooms require a centralized solution to efficiently manage a large number of desktops. The existing solutions either bring virtualization overhead in runtime or requires loading a large image over 30 gB leading to an unacceptable network latency. In this work, we propose Troy which takes advantage of the differencing virtual hard disk techniques in Windows *** such, Troy only loads the modifications made on one machine to all other machines. Troy consists of two modules that are responsible to generate an initial image and merge a differencing image with its parent image, respectively. Specifically, we identify the key fields in the virtual hard disk image that links the differencing image and the parent image and find the modified blocks in the differencing images that should be used to replace the blocks in the parent image. We further design a lazy copy solution to reduce the I/O burden in image merging. We have implemented Troy on bare metal machines. The evaluation results show that the performance of Troy is comparable to the native implementation in Windows, without requiring the Windows environment.

Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))hollow nanoparticles present significant potential for photocatalytic applications while their straightforward preparation with precise structure control is still *** work reports the approach to preparing tunable hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres by utilization of spherical polyelectrolyte brushes(SPB)as nanoreactors and *** the preparation,the evolution of the structure was characterized by small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),and in combination with dynamic light scattering and transmission electron *** formation of TiO_(2) shell within the brush(SPB@TiO_(2))is confirmed by the significant increase of the electron density,and its internal structure has been analyzed by fitting SAXS data,which can be influenced by Titanium precursors and ammonia *** calcining SPB@TiO_(2) in a muffle furnace,hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres are produced,and their transition to the anatase crystal form is triggered,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** the advantages of their hollow structure,these TiO_(2) nanospheres exhibit exceptional catalytic degradation efficiency of methylene blue(MB),tetracycline(TC),and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D),and also demonstrate excellent recyclability.

The OsCLV2s-OsCRN1 co-receptor regulates grain shape in rice

The highly conserved CLV–WUS negative feedback pathway plays a decisive role in regulating stem cell maintenance in shoot and floral meristems in higher plants,including Arabidopsis,rice,maize,and ***,we find significant natural variations in the OsCLV2c,OsCLV2d,and OsCRN1 loci in a genome-wide association study of grain shape in ***2a,OsCLV2c,OsCLV2d,and OsCRN1 negatively regulate grain length–width ratio and show distinctive geographical distribution,indica–japonica differentiation,and artificial selection ***,OsCLV2a and OsCRN1 interact biochemically and genetically,suggesting that the two components function in a complex to regulate grain shape of ***,the genetic contributions of the haplotypes combining OsCLV2a,OsCLV2c,and OsCRN1 are significantly higher than those of each single gene alone in controlling key yield *** findings identify two groups of receptor-like kinases that may function as distinct co-receptors to control grain size in rice,thereby revealing a previously unrecognized role of the CLV class genes in regulating seed development and proposing a framework to understand the molecular mechanisms of the CLV–WUS pathway in rice and other crops.

This paper considers the random coefficient autoregressive model with time-functional variance noises,hereafter the RCA-TFV *** first establish the consistency and asymptotic normality of the conditional least squares estimator for the constant *** semiparametric least squares estimator for the variance of the random coefficient and the nonparametric estimator for the variance function are constructed,and their asymptotic results are reported.A simulation study is presented along with an analysis of real data to assess the performance of our method in finite samples.

ZIF-8 modified by isocyanate as a photocatalytic antibacterial agent

Zeolite imidazole skeleton(ZIF-8)is a promising option for self-cleaning of building exterior walls due to its large specific surface area,high antibacterial activity and low ***,it suffers from low antibacterial efficiency and yield under visible light *** address the issues,we developed the photocatalytic materials T-ZIF-8-TDI(thermally treated-ZIF-8-toluene 2,4-diisocyanate)by modifying ZIF-8 with thermal oxygen sensitization and chemical *** results show that the yield of T-ZIF-8-TDI photocatalytic antibacterial agent is increased to 11.5 times of that of T-ZIF-8,while maintaining the crystal structure of T-ZIF-8 and thermal stability up to 60℃.Furthermore,T-ZIF-8-TDI exhibits extended optical response range to the nearinfrared region,significantly narrowed band gap,improved photogenerated elec tron-hole separation efficiency,reduced recombination rate,and excellent photocatalytic *** the concentration of antibacterial agent is 600 mg·L^(-1),the antibacterial rate of Escherichia coli(***)reaches 99.99%irradiated by visible light for30 min,and when the concentration of antibacterial agent is 200 mg·L^(-1),the antibacterial rate of Staphylococcus aureus(***)reaches 99.99%irradiated by visible light for 25 *** also analyzed the reasons in detail from the aspects of bacterial species and antibacterial mechanism,and proposed the antibacterial mechanism of·O_(2)^(-)and h^(+)as the main active *** findings suggest that T-ZIF-8-TDI photocatalytic antibacterial agent has potential for use in self-cleaning of building exterior walls.
