The service life of a blast furnace depends largely on the degree of damage to the carbon brick in the *** brick and ramming material in the hearth of a 1780 m3 blast furnace after shutdown were sampled and *** was found that the substances in the cracks of the carbon brick near and above the taphole were ZnO and Zn_(2.SiO_(4),whereas the substances in the cracks of the carbon brick below the taphole were *** reaction of Zn with CO,SiO_(2.,and Fes generates ZnO,Zn_(2.SiO_(4),and ZnS,resulting in volume expansion,which is an important reason for the cracking of carbon ***,several obvious Zn vapor flow channels were found in the ramming material,through which Zn vapor could enter the carbon brick,causing damage to the carbon *** the compactness of the ramming material is beneficial to preventing Zn vapor from entering the carbon brick through the voids in the ramming material,reducing the destructive effect of Zn on the carbon brick and further extending the service life of the blast furnace.

The Kherlen River is the main water source for Hulun Lake,the largest lake in northern *** to reduced inflow from the Kherlen River,Hulun Lake experienced rapid shrinkage at the beginning of the 2.st century,posing a serious threat to the ecological security of northern ***,there is still a significant lack of projections regarding future climate change and its hydrological response in the Kherlen River *** study analyzed the projected climate and streamflow changes in the Kherlen River basin,a vital yet vulnerable international semi-arid steppes type basin.A combination of multi-model ensemble projection techniques,and the soil and water assessment tool(SWAT)model was employed to examine the spatio-temporal changes in precipitation,temperature,streamflow,and the associated uncertainties in the *** temperature(an increase of 1.84-6.42.)and the precipitation(an increase of 15.0-46.0 mm)of Kherlen River basin are projected to increase by 2.00,leading to a rise in streamflow(1.08-4.78 m^(3) s^(-1)).The upstream of the Kherlen River exhibits remarkable increasing trends in precipitation,which has a dominant influence on streamflow of Kherlen *** increases in streamflow are observed in April,August,September,and October compared to the reference period(1971-2.00).These findings suggest a partial alleviation of water scarcity in the Kherlen River,but also an increased likelihood of hydrological extreme *** projected temperature increase in the Kherlen River basin exhibits the smallest uncertainty,while more pronounced uncertainties are found in precipitation and *** spread among the results of CMIP6 models is greater than that of CMIP5 models,with lower signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)values for temperature,precipitation,and streamflow.

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are one of the most promising modern-day energy supply systems because of their high theoretical energy density and low ***,the development of high-energy density Li-S batteries with high loading of flammable sulfur faces the challenges of electrochemical performance degradation owing to the shuttle effect and safety issues related to fire or explosion *** this work,we report a three-dimensional(3D)conductive nitrogen-doped carbon foam supported electrostatic self-assembled MXene-ammonium polyphosphate(NCF-MXene-APP)layer as a heat-resistant,thermally-insulated,flame-retardant,and freestanding host for Li-S batteries with a facile and costeffective synthesis ***,through the use of NCF-MXene-APP hosts that strongly anchor polysulfides,the Li-S batteries demonstrate outstanding electrochemical properties,including a high initial discharge capacity of 1191.6 mA h g^(-1),excellent rate capacity of 755.0 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C,and long-term cycling stability with an extremely low-capacity decay rate of 0.12.per cycle at 2.*** importantly,these batteries can continue to operate reliably under high temperature or flame attack ***,this study provides valuable insights into the design of safe high-performance Li-S batteries.

Parthenogenesis,the development of unfertilized egg cells into embryos,is a key component of ***(BABY BOOM),a crucial regulator of embryogenesis in Arabidopsis,possesses the capacity to shift nutritional growth toward reproductive ***,the mechanisms underlying AtBBM-induced parthenogenesis remain largely unexplored in dicot *** findings revealed that in order to uphold the order of sexual reproduction,the embryo-specific promoter activity of AtBBM as well as repressors that inhibit its expression in egg cells combine to limiting its ability to induce ***,AtRKD5,a RWPRK domain-containing(RKD)transcription factor,binds to the 3'end of AtBBM and is identified as one of the inhibitory factors for AtBBM expression in the egg *** the atrkd5 mutant,we successfully achieved enhanced ectopic expression of AtBBM in egg cells,resulting in the generation of haploid offspring via parthenogenesis at a rate of 0.2.%.Furthermore,by introducing chimeric Arabidopsis and rice BBM genes into the egg cell,we achieved a significant 4.6-fold enhancement in haploid induction through the atdmp8/9 *** findings lay a strong foundation for further exploration of the BBM-mediated parthenogenesis mechanism and the improvement of haploid breeding efficiency mediated by the dmp8/9 mutant.

AIM:To characterize the distribution of meibomian gland(MG)area loss(MGL)and its relationship with demographic characteristics,mites,and ***:This retrospective observational study included patients who visited the Dry Eye Clinic of Shenzhen Eye Hospital between June 2.2. and August *** patient characteristics,ocular symptoms,Demodex test results of the eyelid edges,and the results of a comprehensive ocular surface analysis were *** was analyzed using Image J ***:This study enrolled 12.4 outpatients aged 2.-80(40.70±13.44)y,including 357 males(2..65%)and 847 females(70.35%).The patients were classified into mild(n=155;12.87%),moderate(n=795;66.03%),severe(n=2.6;17.11%),and extremely severe(n=48;3.99%)MGL *** was significantly larger in female than in male(P=0.006).The degree of MGL also significantly differed in age(P<0.001)and the more numbers of mites with severity(P<0.001).Multivariate disordered multinomial logistic regression analysis identified that female sex,older age,secretory symptoms,and a large number of mites were risk factors for MGL(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Patients with MGL are more likely to be older,female,more numbers of mites,and increased secretion.

Oxidative stress is one of the main ways to cause alcohol-induced liver injury,and alcoholic liver disease(ALD)has been a common health problem *** acid bacteria(LAB)is also considered as a potential treatment to alleviate alcohol-induced liver *** plantarum J2. is a LAB isolated from Chinese traditional fermented dairy products with excellent probiotic *** study aimed to establish a mice model of alcoholic liver injury through acute-on-chronic alcohol feeding and to study the alleviating effect of pre-intake of *** J2. on alcohol-induced oxidative liver injury and focus on its potential mechanism of alleviating *** results showed that pre-intake of *** J2. could improve liver pathological changes,reduce lipid accumulation,increase mitochondrial ATP and mitochondrial(mtDNA)levels,and alleviate liver *** addition,pre-intake *** J2. can improve the level of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)in the intestines in mice,short chain fatty acids can be used as a signaling molecule activation of nuclear factor E2.related factor 2.Nrf2.signaling pathway to alleviate liver oxidative stress,and maintain mitochondrial homeostasis by regulating the expression of genes related to mitochondrial dynamics and autophagy,thereby reducing cell apoptosis to alleviate alcohol-induced oxidative liver injury.
