Cytokines including tumor necrosis factor, interleukins, interferons, and chemokines are abundantly produced in various diseases. As pleiotropic factors, cytokines are involved in nearly every aspect of cellular functions such as migration, survival, proliferation, and differentiation. Oligodendrocytes are the myelin-forming cells in the central nervous system and play critical roles in the conduction of action potentials, supply of metabolic components for axons, and other functions. Emerging evidence suggests that both oligodendrocytes and oligodendrocyte precursor cells are vulnerable to cytokines released under pathological conditions. This review mainly summarizes the effects of cytokines on oligodendrocyte lineage cells in central nervous system diseases. A comprehensive understanding of the effects of cytokines on oligodendrocyte lineage cells contributes to our understanding of central nervous system diseases and offers insights into treatment strategies.

Body-force modeling considering induced upstream effects for a transonic compressor with total temperature distortion

To numerically study the impact of total temperature distortion on a transonic compressor with reduced computational costs,a Body-Force Model(BFM)is ***,the interactions between the distorted flow and the compressor are analyzed using full-annulus Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(URANS)results and the orbit *** is found that the induced swirl distortion and the mass flux nonuniformity are intensified in the compressor upstream flow field.A correction factor is thus added to the BFM to account for the effect of the induced swirl,which is crucial for the accurate representation of distortion transfer in the ***,steady simulations with large-amplitude 180circumferential total temperature distortion are performed using the developed *** is shown that the distorted compressor map simulated with the BFM matches well with URANS *** circumferential phase shift of total temperature and the generation of the additional total pressure distortion across the rotor are in line with the time-averaged URANS flow *** compressor upstream effects on the distorted inflow can also be exactly *** above-mentioned results demonstrate the BFM developed in this paper can effectively capture the distorted flow features inside the compressor,and significantly reduce the computational costs by five orders of magnitude compared with URANS.

Distributed Source-Load-Storage Cooperative Low-Carbon Scheduling Strategy Considering Vehicle-to-Grid Aggregators

In the development of Li-ion batteries(LIBs)with high energy/power density,long cycle-life,fast charging,and high safety,an insight into charge transfer reactions is *** electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)is regarded as a powerful diagnosis tool,it is not a direct but an indirect *** respect to this,some critical questions need to be answered:(i)why EIS can reflect the kinetics of charge transfer reactions;(ii)what the inherent logical relationship between impedance models under different physical scenes is;(iii)how charge transfer reactions compete with each other at multiple *** work aims at answering these questions via developing a theory framework so as to mitigate the blindness and uncertainty in unveiling charge transfer reactions in *** systematically answer the above questions,this article is organized into a three-in-one(review,tutorial,and research)type and the following contributions are made:(i)a brief review is given for impedance model development of the LIBs over the past half century;(ii)an open source code toolbox is developed based on the unified impedance model;(iii)the competive mechanisms of charge transfer reactions are unveiled based on the developed EIS-Toolbox@*** work not only clarifies theoretical fundamentals,but also provides an easy-to-use open source code for EIS-Toolbox@LIB to optimize fast charge/discharge,mitigate cycle aging,and improve energy/power density.

Seismicity changes and numerical simulation of coseismic deformation following the 2.2. M_(s)6.8 Luding earthquake in Sichuan,China

Investigation of stress-induced progressive failure of mine pillars using a Voronoi grain-based breakable block model

The Voronoi grain-based breakable block model(VGBBM)based on the combined finite-discrete element method(FDEM)was proposed to explicitly characterize the failure mechanism and predict the deformation behavior of hard-rock mine *** influence of the microscopic parameters on the macroscopic mechanical behavior was investigated using laboratory-scale *** field-scale pillar models(width-to-height,W/H=1,2.and 3)were calibrated based on the empirically predicted stress-strain curves of Creighton mine *** results indicated that as the W/H ratios increased,the VGBBM effectively predicted the transition from strain-softening to pseudo-ductile behavior in pillars,and explicitly captured the separated rock slabs and the V-shaped damage zones on both sides of pillars and conjugate shear bands in core zones of *** volumetric strain field revealed significant compressional deformation in core zones of *** the peak strains of W/H=1 and 2.pillars were relatively consistent,there were significant differences in the strain energy storage and release mechanism.W/H was the primary factor influencing the deformation and strain energy in the pillar *** friction coefficient of the structural plane was also an important factor affecting the pillar strength and the weakest discontinuity *** fracture surface was controlled by the discontinuity angle and the friction *** study demonstrated the capability of the VGBBM in predicting the strengths and deformation behavior of hard-rock pillars in deep mine design.

Quantum multicast based on joint remote state preparation

Effective propagation of information among multiple users is the purpose of realizing large-scale quantum communication networks. In this paper, multicast protocols for any single, two and three qubits with real amplitude and complex phase information are presented. They were realized using a composite of Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger states as shared channels. Joint remote state preparation was the main method for completing quantum multicast. At the same time, quantum state tomography of the schemes was carried out on the IBM Quantum *** obtained states were compared with the target states by fidelity. The analysis of communication efficiency and noise effects shows that our protocol has advantages in the case of complex coefficients.

Iodine enrichment in the groundwater in South China and its hydrogeochemical control

In North China,iodine-rich groundwater has been extensively studied,but few in South *** study aimed to investigate the characteristics of iodine-rich groundwater in South China and identify potential contamination *** results revealed that the average concentration of iodine in groundwater was 890μg/L,with a maximumconcentration of 6350μg/L,exceeding the permitted levels recommended by the World Health Organization(5–300μg/L).Notably,the enrichment of iodide occurred in acidic conditions(pH=6.6)and a relatively low Eh environment(Eh=198.4 mV).Pearson correlation and cluster analyses suggested that the enrichment of iodide could be attributed to the intensified redox process involving Mn(II),iodine(I_(2.),or iodate(IO_(3)^(−))in the *** strong affinity between Mn(II)and I_(2./IO_(3)^(−)facilitated their interaction,resulting in the formation and mobilization of I^(−)from the soil to the *** experiments further confirmed that reducing substances(such as sodium sulfides,ascorbic acids,and fulvic acids)in the soil with low dissolved oxygen(DO)levels(3.8 mg/L)promoted the oxidation of I^(−)into I_(2.or IO_(3)^(−),leading to its *** research provides new insights into the characteristics and mechanisms of I^(−)enrichment in groundwater in South China,and emphasizes the significance of the redox reactions involving Mn(II)and I_(2./IO_(3)^(−),as well as the influence of soil properties in regulating the occurrence and transportation of iodine species within groundwater systems.
