Nonlinear empirical failure criterion for rocks under triaxial compression

Based on existing triaxial compression experimental data,a new empirical failure criterion with wide applicability was proposed considering hydrostatic pressure,second stress invariance,and maximum shear *** fitting evaluation indicators were used to verify the consistency of the new failure criterion,and the differences with the other 6 failure criteria were *** characteristics of the new failure criteria in the principal stress space were finally *** results indicate that(1)the new failure criterion exhibits strong predictive ability for triaxial experiments and has good applicability for both intact and jointed rocks;(2.the influence of hydrostatic pressure on the failure surface exhibits a non-linear trend,and different hydrostatic pressure also exhibits different distribution patterns on the deviatoric stress plane,with a distribution characteristic pattern of hexagonal snowflake-regular *** maximum shear stress has a torsional effect on the new criterion,in the three-dimensional failure *** parameters a and b of the rock have an impact on the failure surface morphology of the new criterion function on the offset surface.

Direct conversion of syngas to aromatics over metal oxide and zeolite(OXZEO) composite catalysts is ***,the selectivity of more valuable products such as benzene,toluene and xylenes(BTX) is limited due to undesired secondary methylation of ***,we report that the introduction of SAPO-34 into MnCrO_(x)-ZSM-5 catalyst enhances significantly the formation of BTX without sacrificing the aromatics *** optimized conditions,the fraction of BTX in aromatics reaches 64.7% versus 2..9% over the catalyst without SAPO-34.A number of model reaction tests and characterizations reveal that SAPO-34 consumes partially the intermediates such as ketene,by converting them to light ***,the methylation of BTX by ketene to heavy aromatics is inhibited over the external acid sites of ZSM-5,leading to an enhanced BTX selectivity in the *** hybrid catalyst provides an efficient method for highly selective synthesis of BTX from syngas.

Spinning disk reactor(SDR)has emerged as a novel process intensification photocatalytic reactor,and it has higher mass transfer efficiency and photon utilization for the degradation of toxic organic pollutants by advanced oxidation processes(AOPs).In this study,ZnO—TiO_(2.nanocomposites were prepared by solgel method,and coated on the disk of SDR by impregnation-pull-drying-calcination *** performance of catalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscope,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,photoluminescence and ultraviolet—visible diffuse reflectance *** ozonation in SDR was used to remove phenol,and various factors on degradation effect were studied in *** results showed that the rate of degradation and mineralization reached 100%and 83.4%under UV light irradiation after 50 min,compared with photocatalysis and ozonation,the removal rate increased by 69.3%and 34.7%,and mineralization rate increased by 56.7%and 62.9%,which indicated that the coupling of photocatalysis and ozonation had a synergistic *** radical capture experiments demonstrated that the active species such as photogenerated holes(h^(+)),hydroxyl radicals(·OH),superoxide radical(·O_(2.-)were responsible for phenol degradation,and·OH played a leading role in the degradation process,while h+and·O_(2.^(-)played a non-leading role.

Microstructures, Fabrics, and Seismic Properties of Mylonitic Amphibolites: Implications for Strain Localization in a Thickening Anisotropic Middle Crust of the North China Craton

Strain localization processes in the continental crust generate faults and ductile shear zones over a broad range of scales affecting the long-term lithosphere deformation and the mechanical response of faults during the seismic *** anisotropy originated within the continental crust can be applied to deduce the kinematics and structures within orogens and is widely attributed to regionally aligned minerals,e.g.,***,naturally deformed rocks commonly show various structural layers(e.g.,strain localization layers).It is necessary to reveal how both varying amphibole contents and fabrics in the structural layers of strain localization impact seismic property and its interpretations in terms of *** present microstructures,petrofabrics,and calculate seismic properties of deformed amphibolite with the microstructures ranging from mylonite to *** transition from mylonite to ultramylonite is accompanied by a slight decrease of amphibole grain size,a disintegration of amphibole and plagioclase aggregates,and amphibole aspect ratio increase(from 1.68 to 2.2.),concomitant with the precipitation of feldspar and/or quartz between amphibole *** intensities of amphibole crystallographic preferred orientations(CPOs)show a progressively increasing trend from mylonitic layers to homogeneous ultramylonitic layers,as indicated by the JAm index increasing from 1.9–4.0 for the mylonitic layers and 4.0–4.8 for the transition layer,to 5.1–6.9 for the ultramylonitic *** CPO patterns are nearly random for plagioclase and *** amphibole aggregates in the amphibolitic mylonite deform by diffusion,mechanical rotation,and weak dislocation creep,and develop CPOs *** polymineralic matrix(such as quartz and plagioclase)of the mylonite and the ultramylonite deform dominantly by dissolution-precipitation,combined with weak dislocation *** mean P and S wave velocities are estimated to be 6.3 and 3.5 km/

Corrosion leakages often occur in the air cooler of a hydrocracking unit,with the failure sites mainly located in the entrance area of the *** analysis of the macroscopic morphology and corrosion products confirmed that the damage was caused by erosion-corrosion(E-C).Numerical and experimental methods were applied to investigate the E-C mechanism in the air *** fluid dynamics(CFD)was used to calculate the hydrodynamic parameters of the air *** results showed that there was a biased flow in the air cooler,which led to a significant increase in velocity,turbulent kinetic energy and wall shear within 0.2.m of the tube entrance.A visualization experiment was then performed to determine the principles of migration and transformation of multiphase flow in the air cooler *** flow patterns(pure droplet flow,mist flow,and annular flow)and their evolutionary processes were clearly depicted *** initiation mechanism and processes leading to the development of E-C in the air cooler were also *** study provided a comprehensive explanation for the E-C failures that occur in air coolers during operation.

VOCs can exert great harm to both human and environment,and catalytic oxidation is believed to be an effective technique to eliminate these *** this paper,Ag-Mn bimetal catalysts with 10 wt.%of silver were synthesized using doping,impregnation,and reduction methods respectively,and then they were applied to the catalytic oxidation of *** series of characterizations it showed that the loading of silver using reduction method significantly resulted in improved physico-chemical properties of manganese oxides,such as larger surface area and pore volume,higher proportion of surface Mn~(3+)and Mn~(4+),stronger reducibility and more active of surface oxygen species,which were all beneficial to its catalytic *** a result,the Ag-Mn catalysts synthesized by reduction method showed a lower T_(90)value(equals to the temperature at which 90%of initial benzene was removed)of 2.3℃.Besides,both the used and fresh Ag-Mn catalysts synthesized by reduction method showed preferable stability in this research.

This study provides a comprehensive overview of the challenges to achieving carbon neutrality at the county level in China and offers targeted recommendations,laying the groundwork for future specialized research in this area.A total of 2.3 relevant studies(2.04-2.2.)were analyzed to assess county-level carbon emissions through three phases:bibliometric analysis,frontier analysis,and future *** findings reveal that publication trends were largely influenced by domestic and foreign *** cluster discerns ten primary themes,ranging from conceptual frameworks to research *** frontier analysis of the literature highlights the leading research areas,which include carbon neutrality pathway,driving factors,spatiotemporal variation of carbon emissions,the co-effects of pollutants and carbon reduction,and carbon emissions in China's rural *** from the results of bibliometric and frontier analyses,this study elucidates the recommendations for achieving carbon neutrality at the county level from three perspectives:effective regional policy guidance,emphasis on ecological conservation,and the deployment of advanced carbon reduction and sequestration *** study enriches the body of knowledge on carbon emissions at the county level and holds significant implications for China's comprehensive push towards achieving its carbon neutrality objectives.

Screening for Bioactive Compounds from Mulberry Leaves Combining Bio-Affinity Ultrafiltration with α-Glucosidase and Pancreatic Lipase

With the growing prevalence of diabetes and obesity worldwide, the role of α-glucosidase and lipase inhibitors has gained increasing concentration. Mulberry, a functional medicinal and edible plant, has been reported extensively in alleviating both diabetes and obesity. However, there is still a lack of refined research on its active ingredients and mechanisms. In our study, the inhibitory activities of mulberry leaf against α-glucosidase and pancreatic lipase reached 191.37 ± 14.46 and 775 ± 68.60 μg/mL, respectively. Meanwhile, it also promoted glucose consumption in the HepG2.cells model. Subsequently,four α-glucosidase ligands and four pancreatic lipase ligands were identified through bio-affinity ultrafiltration combined with liquid-chromatography-mass spectrometry(UF-HPLC–MS/MS). In vitro inhibition assays confirmed the inhibitory potential of these representative ligands. Molecular docking suggested that these possible ligands could be inserted into the active pocket of the target enzyme through multiple intermolecular forces. Our findings indicated that the polyphenols in mulberry leaves may contribute significantly to their hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic properties. Furthermore, our study provides valuable insights for the screening of active ingredients in other medicinal and edible plants, which could help in the development of new therapies for diabetes and obesity.
