Enhanced mechanical property by introducing bimodal grains structures in Cu-Ta alloys fabricated by mechanical alloying

Dispersion-strengthened copper alloys can achieve ultra-high strength,but usually at the expense of *** this study,a strategy for overcoming strength-ductility tradeoffof Cu alloys is realized through the introduction of bimodal grains ***-Ta alloys with only 0.5 at.%Ta content were successfully prepared by mechanical alloying combined with spark plasm *** samples prepared by one-step and two-step ball milling methods are named as Cu-Ta(Ⅰ)and Cu-Ta(Ⅱ),*** microstructural characterizations revealed that ultra-fine equiaxed grains with uniformly dispersed Ta precipitates were obtained in the Cu-Ta *** strength of 377 MPa for yield strength together with elongation of∼8%was obtained in Cu-Ta(Ⅰ).Bimodal grains structures composed of fine-grain zones and coarse-grain zones were successfully introduced into Cu-Ta(Ⅱ)by a two-step ball milling approach,and both yield strength(463 MPa)and elongation(∼15%)were significantly synergistic *** hardness values of both Cu-Ta(Ⅰ)and Cu-Ta(Ⅱ)were almost kept nearly constant with the increase of annealing time,and the softening temperatures of Cu-Ta(Ⅰ)and Cu-Ta(Ⅱ)are 1018 and 1013℃,reaching 93.9%and 93.5%T m of pure Cu(1083℃),*** reveals that the Cu-0.5 at.%Ta alloys exhibit excellent thermal stability and exceptional softening *** nanoclusters with semi-coherent structures play an essential role in enhancing the strength and microstructural stability of *** structures are beneficial to the activation of back stress strengthening and the initiation and propagation of microcracks,thus obtaining the extraordinary combination of strength and *** study provides a new way to fabricate dispersion-strengthened Cu alloys with high strength,high elongation,excellent thermal stability and softening resistance,which have potential application value in the field of the future fusion reactor.

AWG-based large dynamic range fiber Bragg grating interrogation system

Arrayed waveguide gratings(AWGs) are extensively employed in fiber Bragg grating(FBG) interrogation systems due to their compact size, lightweight nature, and excellent interrogation performance. The resolution and total measurement range of AWG-based FBG interrogation systems are constrained by the output properties of AWG. We proposed an AWG-based large dynamic range interrogation system. The temperature dependence of AWG is exploited to achieve continuous interrogation. The test results show that the interrogation system has a dynamic range of 2..67 nm, an interrogation accuracy better than 2. pm, and a wavelength resolution of 6 pm.

The construction of major marine infrastructure projects and the exploration and development of deep-sea mineral resources require fine imaging of seabed strata and *** highresolution marine seismic exploration based on a high broadband sparker source is an important approach to reveal seabed stratum and reservoir structure,and identify *** optimize the performance of sparker seismic source,we investigated the electro-acoustic characteristics of spark discharge under conditions of different charging voltages and electrode *** show that the sound source level increased with the increase of the charging voltage,whereas the main frequency decreased when the charging voltage *** addition,it was found that the charging capacitance had more obvious influence on the main frequency than the sound source level *** the load energy decreased with increasing electrode number,the sound source level still increased but the main frequency ***,the primary to bubble(P/B)ratio increased with the increase of the electrode *** gain a deeper insight into the electro-acoustic characteristics,we investigate the relationship between sound source level and power peak,from which a good correlation was observed.A more practical statistical analysis on the rise rate of current was processed,and a perfect logarithmic function was ***,we found that the main frequency was most possibly subjected to the electrical energy,especially the charging energy per *** results indicate that the charging energy per electrode less than 10 J could increase the main frequency to above 300 *** last,the main frequency could be reduced to 2. Hz when the charging energy of a single-electrode discharge was enhanced to over 4 *** study shall be helpful in developing a sparker seismic source and improving the performance for marine engineering exploration and geohazard assessment.

An Active Deception Defense Model Based on Address Mutation and Fingerprint Camouflage

The static and predictable characteristics of cyber systems give attackers an asymmetric advantage in gathering useful information and launching *** reverse this asymmetric advantage,a new defense idea,called Moving Target Defense(MTD),has been proposed to provide additional selectable measures to complement traditional ***,MTD is unable to defeat the sophisticated attacker with fingerprint tracking *** overcome this limitation,we go one step beyond and show that the combination of MTD and Deception-based Cyber Defense(DCD)can achieve higher performance than either of *** particular,we first introduce and formalize a novel attacker model named Scan and Foothold Attack(SFA)based on cyber kill ***,we develop probabilistic models for SFA defenses to provide a deeper analysis of the theoretical effect under different defense *** models quantify attack success probability and the probability that the attacker will be deceived under various conditions,such as the size of address space,and the number of hosts,attack analysis ***,the experimental results show that the actual defense effect of each strategy almost perfectly follows its probabilistic ***,the defense strategy of combining address mutation and fingerprint camouflage can achieve a better defense effect than the single address mutation.

New Hybrid CHP System Integrating Solar Energy and Exhaust Heat Thermochemical Synergistic Conversion with Dual-Source Energy Storage

For the efficient use of solar and fuels and to improve the supply-demand matching performance in combined heat and power(CHP)systems,this paper proposes a hybrid solar/methanol energy system integrating solar/exhaust thermochemical and thermal energy *** proposed system includes parabolic trough solar collectors(PTSC),a thermochemical reactor,an internal combustion engine(ICE),and hybrid storage of thermal and chemical energy,which uses solar energy and methanol fuel as input and outputs power and *** methanol thermochemical decomposition reaction,mid-and-low temperature solar heat and exhaust heat are upgraded to chemical energy for efficient power *** thermal energy storage(TES)stores surplus thermal energy,acting as a backup source to produce heat without emitting CO_(2..Due to the energy storage,time-varying solar energy can be used steadily and efficiently;considerable supply-demand mismatches can be avoided,and the operational flexibility is *** the design condition,the overall energy efficiency,exergy efficiency,and net solar-to-electric efficiency achieve 72.09%,37.65%,and 2..63%,*** fuel saving rate(FSR)and the CO_(2. emission reduction(ER_(CO_(2.))achieve 32.97%and 2..33%,*** research findings provide a promising approach for the efficient and flexible use of solar energy and fuels for combined heat and power.

A Stable Copper-based Metal-Azolate Framework for Efficient Electroreduction of CO_(2.to C_(2.)Products

Driven by renewable or excess electrical energy,electrochemical CO_(2.reduction reaction(eCO_(2.RR)represents a promising carbon-neutral approach to generating valuable low-carbon fuels by consuming CO_(2.and H_(2.O.C_(2.)products are one of the most economically valuable products among the reduction species of eCO_(2.RR,but there are still some challenges,such as low selectivity or low current *** this work,we showed that a copper-based metal-azolate framework(MAF),denoted as MAF-2.3,exhibits the high performance of eCO_(2.RR to yield C_(2.)products with the Faradaic efficiency(C_(2.))of 52.5%and a current density of 660 mA/cm^(2.at-1.2.V *** in a flow cell device under alkaline *** experiment,in situ infrared spectroscopy and the density functional theory(DFT)calculations showed that the electron donating effect of methyl substituents on organic ligands of the copper-based MAF could enhance the ligand field and activation of key intermediates(*CO and*CHO species),thus promoting the coupling of*CO and*CHO for yielding C_(2.)products.

Peptide drugs are known for their high biological ***,compared with small molecule drugs,peptide drugs are easily oxidized and hydrolyzed as well as short in ***,inspired by the long circulation of albumin in blood,we screened albumin binding peptides(ABPs)from a one-bead one-compound(OBOC)peptide library to increase the half-life of peptide *** displaying random peptides were screened using fluorescent labeled human serum *** beads with specific binding to albumin were isolated for *** selected ABPs can effectively bind to albumin,thus possessing the long circulation of *** dissociation constant(K_(D))of ABPs to albumin is up to 1×10^(-8)mol/*** one of ABPs(ABP2.was coupled to triptorelin,the circulation half-life of triptorelin in mice was significantly prolonged to 2.3.50 h much longer than that of triptorelin alone(179.07 h).In addition,the combination therapy using ABP-conjugated triptorelin and doxorubicin(DOX)can effectively inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells in *** OBOC screening strategy and resulting ABPs showed great potential for enhancing the delivery efficiency of peptide drugs.

Fungal residues were more sensitive to nitrogen addition than bacterial residues in a meadow grassland soil

Nitrogen(N)addition can significantly affect the amount of soil carbon(C)pools through biological routes,and microbial residues are important components of soil carbon ***,it remains unclear how N addition affects the accumulation of soil microbial residues in meadow *** study analyzed the effects of N addition on microbial residues in a meadow grassland soil,and the key factors affecting the accumulation of microbial residues under N addition were analyzed in combination with soil physicochemical properties and microbial community *** results showed that N addition significantly changed the structure of the microbial communities and the accumulation of microbial residues,mainly manifested by a significant decrease in fungal biomass and the fungal/bacterial ratio(F/B),but had no significant effect on bacterial or total microbial biomass(PLFAs).N addition significantly increased the accumulation of fungal residues(7.45%),but had no significant effect on the accumulation of bacterial residues or total amino sugar(TAS).We found that fungal residues were more affected by soil environmental factors than bacterial *** results of the random forest analysis showed that bacterial biomass under N addition was the most important predictor of soil bacterial residues,whereas total N(TN),pH and F/B were the most important predictors of soil fungal *** summary,our results indicate that fungal communities and residues accumulation play important roles in regulating the response of grassland soil C to N addition,further enhancing our understanding of the mechanisms of soil carbon pool to N addition.

Efficient and stable PtFe alloy catalyst for electrocatalytic methanol oxidation with high resistance to CO

Direct methanol fuel cells(DMFC) are widely considered to be an ideal green energy conversion device but their widespread applications are limited by the high price of the Pt-based catalysts and the instability in terms of surface CO toxicity in long-term ***,the PtFe alloy nanoparticles(NPs) with small particle size(~4.12.nm) supported on carbon black catalysts with different Pt/Fe atomic ratios(Pt_(1)Fe_(2./C,Pt_(3)Fe_(4)/C,Pt_(1)Fe_(1)/C,and Pt_(2.Fe_(1)/C) are successfully prepared for enhanced anti-CO poisoning during methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).The optimal atomic ratio of Pt/Fe for the MOR is 1:2.and the mass activity of Pt_(1)Fe_(2./C(5.40 A mg_(Pt)^(-1)) is 13.5 times higher than that of conventional commercial Pt/C(Pt/C-JM)(0.40 A mg_(Pt)^(-1)).The introduction of Fe into the Pt lattice forms the PtFe alloy phase,and the electron density of Pt is reduced after forming the PtFe ***-situ Fourier transform infrared results indicate that the addition of oxyphilic metal Fe has reduced the adsorption of reactant molecules on Pt during the *** doping of Fe atoms helps to desorb toxic intermediates and regenerate Pt active sites,promoting the cleavage of C-O bonds with good selectivity of CO_(2.(58.1%).Moreover,the Pt_(1)Fe_(2./C catalyst exhibits higher CO tolerance,methanol electrooxidation activity,and long-term stability than other Pt_(x)Fe_(y)/C catalysts.
