Upper ocean heat content(OHC)has been widely recognized as a crucial precursor to high-impact climate variability,especially for that being indispensable to the long-term memory of the *** the predictability of OHC using state-of-the-art climate models is invaluable for improving and advancing climate *** developed retrospective forecast experiments,based on a Community Earth System Model ensemble prediction system,offer a great opportunity to comprehensively explore OHC *** results indicate that the skill of actual OHC predictions varies across different oceans and diminishes as the lead time of prediction *** spatial distribution of the actual prediction skill closely resembles the corresponding persistence skill,indicating that the persistence of OHC serves as the primary predictive signal for its *** decline in actual prediction skill is more pronounced in the Indian and Atlantic oceans than in the Pacific Ocean,particularly within tropical ***,notable seasonal variations in the actual prediction skills across different oceans align well with the phase-locking features of OHC *** potential predictability of OHC generally surpasses the actual prediction skill at all lead times,highlighting significant room for improvement in current OHC predictions,especially for the North Indian Ocean and the Atlantic *** such improvements necessitates a collaborative effort to enhance the quality of ocean observations,develop effective data assimilation methods,and reduce model bias.

In this paper,a compact mathematical model having an elegant structure,together with a generic control framework,are proposed for generic power systems dominated by power converters that are interconnected through a passive transmission and distribution(T&D)grid,by adopting the port-Hamiltonian(pH)systems theory and the fundamental circuit *** models of generic T&D lines are developed and then the model of a generic T&D grid is *** the proposed control framework,the controlled converters are proven to be passive and Input-to-State Stable(ISS).The compact mathematical model is scalable and can be applied to power systems with multiple power electronic converters with generic passive controllers,passive local loads,and different types of passive T&D lines connected in a meshed configuration without self-loops,so it is very ***,the resulting power system is proven to be ISS as *** analysis is carried out without assumptions on constant frequency/voltage,constant loads,and/or lossless networks,except the need of passivity for all parts involved,and without using the Clarke/Park transformations or the graph *** simplify the presentation,three-phase balanced systems are adopted but the results can be easily adapted for single-phase or unbalanced three-phase systems.

Pathfinder algorithm(PFA)is a swarm intelligent optimization algorithm inspired by the collective activity behavior of swarm animals,imitating the leader in the population to guide followers in finding the best food *** algorithm has the characteristics of a simple structure and high ***,PFA faces challenges such as insufficient population diversity and susceptibility to local optima due to its inability to effectively balance the exploration and exploitation *** paper proposes an Ameliorated Pathfinder Algorithm called APFA to solve complex engineering optimization ***,a guidance mechanism based on multiple elite individuals is presented to enhance the global search capability of the ***,to improve the exploration efficiency of the algorithm,the Logistic chaos mapping is introduced to help the algorithm find more high-quality potential solutions while avoiding the worst ***,a comprehensive following strategy is designed to avoid the algorithm falling into local optima and further improve the convergence *** three strategies achieve an effective balance between exploration and exploitation overall,thus improving the optimization performance of the *** performance evaluation,APFA is validated by the CEC2.2. benchmark test set and five engineering optimization problems,and compared with the state-of-the-art metaheuristic *** numerical experimental results demonstrated the superiority of APFA.

Microplastic pollution has become one of the most concerned focuses in the *** many treatment methods,photocatalysis is considered to be one of the most environmentally friendly *** this work,the photodegradation behavior of polyamide microplastics is studied by using polyamide 6(PA6)as model microplastics and FeCl_(3) as *** is hoped that the PA6 fiber can be effectively degraded by utilizing the strong oxidizing active species that can be produced after FeCl_(3) is irradiated in *** results shows that PA6 fiber can be almost completely degraded after 10 days of irradiation in FeCl_(3) aqueous solution,indicating that it is promising to use this new method to solve the problem of PA6type *** addition,the chain scission mechanism and degradation process of PA6 are analyzed in detail by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS),which provides a new insight for the study of polymer degradation mechanism.

An Efficient Multi-objective Approach Based on Golden Jackal Search for Dynamic Economic Emission Dispatch

Dynamic Economic Emission Dispatch(deED)aims to optimize control over fuel cost and pollution emission,two conflicting objectives,by scheduling the output power of various units at specific *** many methods well-performed on the deED problem,most of them fail to achieve expected results in practice due to a lack of effective trade-off mechanisms between the convergence and diversity of non-dominated optimal dispatching *** address this issue,a new multi-objective solver called Multi-Objective Golden Jackal Optimization(MOGJO)algorithm is proposed to cope with the deED *** proposed algorithm first stores non-dominated optimal solutions found so far into an ***,it chooses the best dispatching solution from the archive as the leader through a selection mechanism designed based on elite selection strategy and Euclidean distance index *** mechanism can guide the algorithm to search for better dispatching solutions in the direction of reducing fuel costs and pollutant ***,the basic golden jackal optimization algorithm has the drawback of insufficient search,which hinders its ability to effectively discover more Pareto *** this end,a non-linear control parameter based on the cosine function is introduced to enhance global exploration of the dispatching space,thus improving the efficiency of finding the optimal dispatching *** proposed MOGJO is evaluated on the latest CEC benchmark test functions,and its superiority over the state-of-the-art multi-objective optimizers is highlighted by performance ***,empirical results on 5-unit,10-unit,IEEE 30-bus,and 30-unit systems show that the MOGJO can provide competitive compromise scheduling solutions compared to published deED ***,in the analysis of the Pareto dominance relationship and the Euclidean distance index,the optimal dispatching solutions provided by MOGJO are the closest to the ideal solutions for minimizing fuel costs

The present study addresses the problem of fault estimation for a specific class of nonlinear time-varying complex networks,utilizing an unknown-input-observer approach within the framework of dynamic event-triggered mechanism(deTM).In order to optimize communication resource utilization,the deTM is employed to determine whether the current measurement data should be transmitted to the estimator or *** guarantee a satisfactory estimation performance for the fault signal,an unknown-input-observer-based estimator is constructed to decouple the estimation error dynamics from the influence of fault *** aim of this paper is to find the suitable estimator parameters under the effects of deTM such that both the state estimates and fault estimates are confined within two sets of closed ellipsoid *** techniques of recursive matrix inequality are applied to derive sufficient conditions for the existence of the desired estimator,ensuring that the specified performance requirements are met under certain ***,the estimator gains are derived by minimizing the ellipsoid domain in the sense of trace and a recursive estimator parameter design algorithm is then ***,a numerical example is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed estimator.

LaFe_(11.8)Si_(1.2./10 wt%Ce_(60)Co_(40) composites were prepared by spark plasma sintering and subsequent diffusion annealing.A novel core-shell structure is observed with the LaFe11.8Si1.2.particles as the core and the(La,Ce)_(2.(Fe,Co,Si)_(17)(2.17)phase as the *** diffusion annealing time(t_(a))increases,this core-shell structure is replaced by the formation of the(La,Ce)_(1)(Fe,Co,Si)_(13) *** at 132. K for 12.h results in samples with(-ΔSM)^(max) of 9.30 J/(kg·K)(Δμ0H=2.T),good mechanical properties((σbc)^(max)=402.MPa,ε=4.2.%)and thermal conductivity of 8.7 W/(m·K).Thus,bulk composites with excellent comprehensive properties for magnetic refrigeration are obtained in this work.
