Theoretical investigation on axial cyclic performance of monopile in sands using interface constitutive models

Cyclic loads generated by environmental factors,such as winds,waves,and trains,will likely lead to performance degradation in pile foundations,resulting in issues like permanent displacement accumulation and bearing capacity *** paper presents a semi-analytical solution for predicting the axial cyclic behavior of piles in *** solution relies on two enhanced nonlinear load-transfer models considering stress-strain hysteresis and cyclic degradation in the pile-soil *** parameters are calibrated through cyclic shear tests of the sand-steel interface and laboratory geotechnical testing of sands.A novel aspect involves the meticulous formulation of the shaft loadtransfer function using an interface constitutive model,which inherently inherits the interface model’s advantages,such as capturing hysteresis,hardening,degradation,and particle *** semi-analytical solution is computed numerically using the matrix displacement method,and the calculated values are validated through model tests performed on non-displacement and displacement piles in *** results demonstrate that the predicted values show excellent agreement with the measured values for both the static and cyclic responses of piles in *** displacement pile response,including factors such as bearing capacity,mobilized shaft resistance,and convergence rate of permanent settlement,exhibit improvements compared to non-displacement piles attributed to the soil squeezing *** methodology presents an innovative analytical framework,allowing for integrating cyclic interface models into the theoretical investigation of pile responses.

In the face of increasingly serious environmental pollution,the health of human lung tissues is also facing serious *** IIE(M2.)is the main metabolite of sweetening agents mogrosides from the anti-tussive Chinese herbal Siraitia *** study elucidated the anti-inflammatory action and molecular mechanism of M2. against acute lung injury(Ali).A lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced Ali model was established in mice and MH-S cells were employed to explore the protective mechanism of M2. through the western blotting,co-immunoprecipitation,and quantitative real time-PCR *** results indicated that M2. alleviated LPS-induced lung injury through restraining the activation of secreted phospholipase A2.type IIA(Pla2.2.)-epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR).The interaction of Pla2.2. and EGFR was identified by *** addition,M2. protected Ali induced with LPS against inflammatory and damage which were significantly dependent upon the downregulation of AKT and m TOR via the inhibition of ***2.2. may represent a potential target for M2. in the improvement of LPS-induced lung injury,which may represent a promising strategy to treat Ali.

The absence of control over carriers transport during electrochemical cycling,accompanied by the deterioration of the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)and the growth of lithium dendrites,has hindered the development of lithium metal ***,a separator complexion consisting of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)nanofiber and MIL-101(Cr)particles prepared by electrospinning is proposed to bind the anions from the electrolyte utilizing abundant effective open metal sites in the MIL-101(Cr)particles to modulate the transport of non-effective *** binding effect of the PANM separator promotes uniform lithium metal deposition and enhances the stability of the SEI layer and long cycling stability of ultra-high nickel layered oxide *** PANM as the li||NCM96 separator enables high-voltage cycling stability,maintaining 72.capacity retention after 800 cycles at a charging and discharging rate of 0.2.C at a cut-off voltage of 4.5 V and 0°***,the excellent high-rate performance delivers a specific capacity of 156.3 mA h g^(-1) at 10 *** addition,outstanding cycling performance is realized from−2. to 60°*** separator engineering facilitates the electrochemical performance of lithium metal batteries and enlightens a facile and promising strategy to develop fast charge/discharge over a wide range of temperatures.

NEDD8(Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated protein 8)is an ubiquitin-like protein that is covalently attached to a lysine residue of a protein substrate through a process known as neddylation,catalyzed by the enzyme cascade,namely NEDD8 activating enzyme(E1),NEDD8 conjugating enzyme(E2.,and NEDD8 ligase(E3).The substrates of neddylation are categorized into cullins and non-cullin *** of cullins activates CRLs(cullin RING ligases),the largest family of E3 ligases,whereas neddylation of non-cullin substrates alters their stability and activity,as well as subcellular ***,the neddylation pathway and/or many neddylation substrates are abnormally activated or over-expressed in various human diseases,such as metabolic disorders,liver dysfunction,neurodegenerative disorders,and cancers,among ***,targeting neddylation becomes an attractive strategy for the treatment of these *** this review,we first provide a general introduction on the neddylation cascade,its biochemical process and regulation,and the crystal structures of neddylation enzymes in complex with cullin substrates;then discuss how neddylation governs various key biological processes via the modification of cullins and non-cullin *** further review the literature data on dysregulated neddylation in several human diseases,particularly cancer,followed by an outline of current efforts in the discovery of small molecule inhibitors of neddylation as a promising therapeutic ***,few perspectives were proposed for extensive future investigations.

CsPbI_(2.Br perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have drawn tremendous attention due to their suitable bandgap,excellent photothermal stability,and great potential as an ideal candidate for top cells in tandem solar ***,the abundant defects at the buried interface and perovskite layer induce severe charge recombination,resulting in the open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))output and stability much lower than ***,a novel buried interface management strategy is developed to regulate interfacial carrier dynamics and CsPbI_(2.Br defects by introducing ammonium tetrafluoroborate(NH_(4)BF_(4)),thereby resulting in both high CsPbI_(2.Br crystallization and minimized interfacial energy ***,NH_(4)^(+)ions could preferentially heal hydroxyl groups on the SnO_(2.surface and balance energy level alignment between SnO_(2.and CsPbI_(2.Br,enhancing charge transport efficiency,while BF_(4)^(-)anions as a quasi-halogen regulate crystal growth of CsPbI_(2.Br,thus reducing perovskite ***,it is proved that eliminating hydroxyl groups at the buried interface enhances the iodide migration activation energy of CsPbI_(2.Br for strengthening the phase *** a result,the optimized CsPbI_(2.Br PSCs realize a remarkable efficiency of 17.09%and an ultrahigh V_(oc)output of 1.43 V,which is one of the highest values for CsPbI_(2.Br PSCs.

Climate change alters the intensity and frequency of drought and rewetting(D/W)events;however,the influence patterns of D/W on soil N_(2.O efflux in the water-limited area were not fully ***,the impacts of D/W cycles varying in different extent of rewetting and frequency to N_(2.O efflux in two kinds of soil on the Loess Plateau were *** incubation conditions consisted of 1)D/W treatments with four 7-day cycles from 10%water holding capacity(WHC)to 60%WHC or 90%WHC,2.constant moisture of 60%WHC and 90%*** pulse of N_(2.O efflux rate under 10-60%WHC treatment was higher than that under 10-90%WHC treatment in calcic cambisols,while opposite trend was observed in earth-cumuli-orthic ***,the pulse of N_(2.O efflux rate decreased as cycle number increased for different wetting intensities and soil *** direct N_(2.O efflux under 10-60%WHC and 10-90%WHC treatments were 5.49 and 1.89μg N_(2.O-N g^(-1)soil in calcic cambisols,with those being 1.92.and 10.85μg N_(2.O-N g^(-1)soil in earth-cumuli-orthic anthrosols,*** N loss in earth-cumuli-orthic anthrosols was approximately 5.74 times greater than that in calcic cambisols under 10-90%WHC treatment,whereas the N loss under 10-60%WHC treatment was about 2.86 times greater in calcic cambisols than that in earth-cumuli-orthic *** study suggested that extreme rainfall events can enhance the N_(2.O efflux and N loss in agricultural soils on the Loess Plateau in terms of soil type and wetting intensity,which should not be ignored in the N fertilizer management.

Metformin alleviates spinal cord injury by inhibiting nerve cell ferroptosis through upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 expression

Previous studies have reported upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 in different central nervous system injury *** oxygenase-1 plays a critical anti-inflammatory role and is essential for regulating cellular redox *** is a classic drug used to treat type 2.diabetes that can inhibit *** studies have shown that,when used to treat cardiovascular and digestive system diseases,metformin can also upregulate heme oxygenase-1 ***,we hypothesized that heme oxygenase-1 plays a significant role in mediating the beneficial effects of metformin on neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord *** test this,we first performed a bioinformatics analysis based on the GEO database and found that heme oxygenase-1 was upregulated in the lesion of rats with spinal cord ***,we confirmed this finding in a rat model of T9 spinal cord compression injury that exhibited spinal cord nerve cell *** intraperitoneal injection of metformin for 14 days was found to both upregulate heme oxygenase-1 expression and reduce neuronal ferroptosis in rats with spinal cord ***,we used a lentivirus vector to knock down heme oxygenase-1 expression in the spinal cord,and found that this significantly reduced the effect of metformin on ferroptosis after spinal cord *** together,these findings suggest that metformin inhibits neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord injury,and that this effect is partially dependent on upregulation of heme oxygenase-1.
