Because of the thermal effect of window of high power fast axial flow CO2.aser, the coupler will be distorted and become a convex lens. In this paper, the thermal distorted coupler is taken as a quasi-lens ABCD system, and through experiment and theoretical analysis, relations between the position of the output beam waist, the beam waist size, divergence angle, and the output power are given.

Gold nanoshells were prepared by an easy wet-chemical method, with Ag nanoparticles used as the templates. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicated that the shells were sphere in shape, the size was homogenous, being about 2. nm, and no hard ag-glomerates were observed. The plasma resonance absorption of gold was tuned from visible to near-infrared (NIR) with the increased volume of HAuCl4. The temperature grads (?T) of the gold nanoshell hydrosol under the exposure of an 808-nm optical fiber laser with different power den-sities were measured. The highest ?T was 30℃ (5 W/cm2. irradiation area was 2.cm2.. This kind of gold nanoshell hydrosol is a promising material to be used in biomedicine such as photo-thermal cancer therapy, and its special photothermal convert property will photothermally trigger drug release.

The optical absorption properties of phase-change optical recording thin films subjected to various initialization conditions were investigated. The effects of initialization power and velocity on optical constants of the Ge2.b2.e5 thin films were also studied. The energy gap of Ge2.b2.e5 thin films subjected to various initialization conditions was also obtained. It was found that the optical energy gap of the Ge2.b2.e5 thin films increased with either increasing initialization laser power or decreasing initialization velocity, with peak of 0.908 eV at laser power of 1000 mW or initialization velocity of 4.0 m/s, but the continued increasing initialization laser power or decreasing initialization velocity resulted in the decrease of the optical energy gap. The change of the optical energy gap was discussed on the basis of amorphous crystalline transformation.

A quad-rotor aircraft is an under-actuated,strongly coupled nonlinear system with parameter uncertainty and un-modeled *** order to make the aircraft track the desired trajectory,a nested double-loops control system is adopted in this paper.A position error proportional-derivative(PD) controller is designed as the outer-loop controller based on the coupling action between rotational and translational movement,and an adaptive backstepping sliding mode control algorithm is used to stabilize the ***,both the numerical simulation and prototype experiment are utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control system.

In computer graphics, animated models are widely used to represent time-varying data. And the progressive representation of such models can accelerate the speed of processing, transmission and storage. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to generate progressive animation models. Our method uses an improved curvature sensitive quadric error metric (QEM) criterion as basic measurement, which can preserve more local features on the surface. We append a deformation weight to the aggregated edge contraction cost during the whole animation to preserve more motion features. At last, we introduce a mesh optimization method for the animation sequence, which can efficiently improve the temporal coherence and reduce visual artifacts between adjacent frames. The results show our approach is efficient, easy to implement, and good quality progressive animation models can be generated at any level of detail.
