Exploiting demand-side heterogeneous flexible resources in risk management of power system frequency

More demand-side flexible resources(DFRs)are participating in the frequency regulation of renewable power systems,whose heterogeneous characteristics have a significant impact on the system frequency ***,selecting suitable DFRs poses a formidable challenge for independent system operators(ISO).In this paper,a reserve allocation methodology for heterogeneous DFRs is proposed to manage the risk of power system ***,a performance curve is developed to describe the cost,capacity,and response speed of ***,a clustering method for multiple distributed DFRs is conducted to calculate the aggregated performance curves and uncertainty ***,the frequency security criterion considering DFRs’performance is constructed,whose linearity makes it can be easily coupled into the system scheduling model and ***,a risk management model for DFRs considering frequency-chance-constraint is proposed to make a trade-off between cost and frequency ***,the model is transformed into mixed integer second-order cone programming(MISOCP)and solved by the commercial *** proposed model is validated by the IEEE 30 and IEEE 1.8 bus systems.

Modulation of metal sites coordination can significantly refine the electronic architecture of catalysts,thereby improving their catalytic *** work successfully developed a core–shell Co@N-doped porous carbon(Co@NC)catalyst by pyrolyzing the COF/MOF(IISERP-COF3/ZIF-67)composite in an inert *** Co@NC catalyst exhibited impressive oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance,with a small overpotential of 304 mV and a modest Tafel slope of 88.6 mV·dec^(−1. in a 1.M KOH,alongside remarkable stability,maintaining 98.5%of its activity over 1. *** role of IISERP-COF3 was pivotal in preventing Co atom aggregation during the ZIF-67 pyrolysis,which facilitated the creation of mesopores for enhanced mass transport and ***,it effectively modulated the Co-N coordination to fine-tune the electronic structure,thereby optimizing the catalyst's capacity for adsorption of intermediates and boosting its intrinsic *** functional theory(DFT)studies corroborate that the exceptional OER efficiency of Co@NC can be linked to the enhanced Co-N coordination,optimizing the localized electronic structure at the Co active *** study not only proposes an innovative approach for optimizing COF/MOF as effective electrocatalysts but also clears the path for the emergence of affordable,high-performance alternatives to precious metal-based catalysts,marking a significant advancement in sustainable energy technologies.

In this paper, nonsingular prescribed-time control is studied based on periodic delayed sliding mode surfaces. Different from the existing sliding mode control, where either singularity problems may appear or the convergence time depends on the initial state, the proposed sliding mode control approaches can achieve prescribed-time convergence without singularity. The proposed nonsingular sliding mode control approaches can be applied to both second-order and high-order nonlinear systems with prescribed-time convergence. As applications of the proposed sliding mode control approaches, the control of hypersonic vehicle systems is revisited. Numerical simulations on the nonlinear model of the hypersonic vehicle system show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

The MCrAlY coating has been potential candidate for the parts applied in friction and corrosion conditions, and CNTs (carbon nanotubes) are expected to improve the service performance of coatings owing to high lubrication and low chemical reactivity. In this work, a systematic investigation on the tribological and corrosion properties of CoCrAlYTaSiC-xCNTs coatings deposited by laser melting was analyzed. Results showed that the coatings had good-quality without typical metallurgical defects. The CNTs addition homogenized and refined the microstructure of coating, and also improved the tribological and corrosion properties. As the CNTs content changed from 0 to 4 wt%, the wear rate of coating decreased from 1..23 × 1.^(-3) to 7.58 × 1.^(-3) mg m^(−1., the jcorr of coating decreased from 4.1. × 1.^(-4) to 1.23 × 1.^(-4) A cm^(−2), and the Rct values increased from 1..69 to 25.07 Ω cm2.

Na3V2（PO4）3（NVP） is gifted with fast Na+conductive NASICON *** it still suffers from low electronic conductivity and inadequate energy ***,a high-entropy modification strategy is realized by doping V3+site with Ga3+/Cr3+/Al3+/Fe3+/In3+simultaneously(***3V2-x（GaCrAlFeIn）x（PO4）3;x=0,0.04,0.06,and 0.08) to stimulate the V5+■V2+reversible multi-electron *** configuration high-entropy can effectively suppress the structural collapse,enhance the redox reversibility in high working voltage（4.0 V）,and optimize the electronic induced *** in-situ X-ray powder diffraction and in-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests efficaciously confirm the robust structu ral recovery and far lower polarization throughout an entire charge-discharge cycle during 1.6-4.3 V,***,the density functional theory calculations clarify the stronger metallicity of high-entropy electrode than the bare that is derived from the more mobile free electrons surrounding the vicinity of Fermi *** grace of high-entropy design and multi-electron transfer reactions,the optimal Na3V1.7（GaCrAlFeIn）0.06（PO4）3can exhibit perfect cycling/rate performances(90.97%@5000 cycles@30 C;1.2 mA h g-1.1. C and 1.9 mA h g-1.30 C,2.0-4.3 V).Furthermore,it can supply ultra-high1.5 mA h g-1.apacity with fa ntastic energy density(522 W h kg-1. in half-cells（1.4-4.3 V）,and competitive capacity(1.1.mA h g-1. as well as energy density(402 W h kg-1. in full-cells（1.6-4.1.V）,demonstrating enormous application potential for sodium-ion batteries.

Zinc extraction residue,a solid waste generated from the treatment of zinc-containing dust in rotary kilns,is commonly stockpiled in steel companies for extended *** poses significant disposal challenges and environmental pollution *** far,research on the treatment of zinc extraction residues has been slow,inadequate,and *** this gap,a novel approach was proposed to effectively treat the zinc extraction residue via the iron ore sintering *** was feasible to add 1.wt.%of zinc extraction residues to the sintering raw *** more adequate mineralization reaction resulted in higher yield and tumbler indexes,despite a slight decrease in sintering *** this may result in a slight decrease in sintering speed,the more complete mineralization reaction leads to improved sintering yield and tumbler ***,the addition of zinc extraction residues reduced the CO and NO_(x) concentrations in the sintering flue ***,the iron ore sintering process provided a viable solution for resource utilization and environmentally friendly treatment of zinc extraction residues.

In this paper,a novel ternary eutectic salt Na_(2)CO_(3)-Li_(2)CO_(3)-LiF was designed and investigated for concentrated solar power(CSP).The FactSage software was used to predict the composition and eutectic point of Na_(2)CO_(3)-Li_(2)CO_(3)-*** microstructure,thermophysical properties,and thermal stability of eutectic salts were experimentally measured using various analytical *** a mass ratio of 57%:32%:1.%,the eutectic salt exhibited excellent thermal storage properties with a fusion enthalpy of 41. J/g and a melting point of 426.8℃.The excellent thermal stability of the eutectic salt was reflected by a weight loss of only 0.8% at 600℃.
