During the observation of HCFC1.1. gas hydrate growth processes outside a ver- tical heat transfer tube, two exciting phenomena were found: fast nucleation of gas hydrate from melting ice, and the spontaneous permeation of water into the guest phases along the surface of heat transfer tube to form gas hydrate continuously. These two phenomena were explained with Zhou & Sloan’s hypothesis and the theory of surface free energy respectively, and a novel method of gas hydrate formation was presented——gas hydrate fast nucleation from melting ice and quiescent growth along heat transfer tube. There is no mechanic stirring in this method, the formed gas hydrates are compact, the ratio of unreacted interstitial water is little, which overcome the drawback of high energy cost and high ratio of unreacted interstitial water among the formed gas hydrates in the system with mechanic stirring. This finding will benefit the gas hydrate ap- plication technologies such as natural gas storage technology or cool storage technology with gas hydrate.

The genetic requirements for the transcription of glnA,encoding the major glutaminesynthetase in a rifamycin SV-producing Amycolatopsis mediterranei strain,U32,were *** experiments showed that the promoter of U32 glnA （pglnA） was likely to have two transcriptioninitiation sites:P1.nd P2,located 1.7 and 45 nucleotides （nt） upstream of the translational start codon,*** mobility shift and DNase I footprinting analyses revealed a 30 bp cis-element locatedat 45 to 75 nt downstream of P1.or 38 to 68 nt upstream of *** sequence of the cis-element displayedhigh similarity to the corresponding regions of pglnA from Streptomyces coelicolor and *** as a reporter gene,the expression levels of U32 pglnA and its deletion derivatives under differentnitrogen-source conditions were analyzed by detecting the catechol dioxygenase activities in ***54,*** J508 and *** FS1. （glnR mutant）.These in vivo studies showed that theactivation of U32 pglnA in *** required GlnR,and its binding to the U32 pglnA was furtherconfirmed by the gel mobility shift *** and heterologous expression of the U32 glnR allowed usto detect the in vitro interaction between the U32 GlnR and the corresponding pglnA *** shown by in vivo glnR inactivation and complementation indicated that GlnR is essential for theactive transcription of glnA in U32.

To further realize the action of superoxide radicals (O2 ) in photoinhibition of photosystem II (PS II), we employed 5,5-dimethyl-l-pyrroline-N-oxide (DMPO) as a spin trap, associated with EPK spectroscopy, to study theeffect of illumination time on O2- formation during highlight photoinhibition in PS II membranes and Mn-depleted PS II membranes. Results indicated that the removal of Mn cluster from PS II membranes has a strong influence on the dynamics of superoxide formation. The relative mechanismwas also discussed. These novel findings may further promote the studies of the structure and function of PS II and the mechanism of photoinhibition.

Poisson algebras are fundamental algebraic structures in physics and symplectic geometry. However, the structure theory of Poisson algebras has not been well developed. In this paper, we determine the structure of the central simple Poisson algebras related to locally finite derivations, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic *** Lie algebra structures of these Poisson algebras are in general not finitely-graded.

Filtering efficiency of the chinese-made filter 1.has been measured by the double-filter method with only one set of measurement equipment. The β counts of the two filters are measured in turn for every 3 minutes, from which the decay constants are extracted to be 0.01.1.min-1.and 0.01.9 min-1.for the first and second filter respectively. After correcting the β counts of the second filter, the filtering efficiency of the filter is obtained to be (87.4±0.7)% in average.

The microstructure and mechanical properties evolution of AISI 301.N metastable austenitic stainless steels during cold rolling were investigated. A wide range of cold thickness reduction (1.%-80%) was carried out in a four-high rolling mill at ambient temperature. The X-ray and Feritscope MP30 were used to identify the strain-induced α′-martensite phase and its volume fraction, respectively. The microstructure was observed by optical micrograph and the mechanical properties were determined by tensile tests and microhardness. The results show that the strain-induced α′-martensite nucleated at the shear bands intersections and the growth of α′-martensite occurred by the repeated nucleation of new embryos. The volume fraction of strain-induced α′-martensite increased with increasing the cold rolling reduction. In addition, the percentage increased in the tensile strength is the same as that of hardness. The ratio between the average tensile strength and the average microhardness was found to range between 2.82 and 3.1..

In this paper we study the method of interpolation by radial basis functions and give some error estimates in Sobolev space H^k（Ω）（k 〉 1.. With a special kind of radial basis function, we construct a basis in H^k（Ω） and derive a meshless method for solving elliptic partial differential equations. We also propose a method for computing the global data density.
