Dynamic Sulfur-Rich Polymers from Elemental Sulfur and Epoxides

Sulfur-containing dynamic polymers had attracted significant attention due to their unique chemical structures with high *** sulfur, an inexpensive industrial waste product, to synthesize dynamic polysulfide polymers through reverse vulcanization has been a notable approach. However, this method required high temperatures and resulted in the release of unpleasant oders. In this study, we presented a robust method for the preparation of sulfur-rich polymers with dynamic polysulfide bonds from elemental sulfur and inexpensive epoxide monomers via a one-pot strategy at the mild room temperature. Different types of polysulfide molecules and polymers were synthesized by reacting various epoxide compounds with sulfur, along with the investigation of their structures and dynamic behaviors. It was noteworthy that the obatined polymers prepared from m-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-N,N-bis(2,3-epoxypropyl)aniline and elemental sulfur exhibit multiple dynamic behaviors, including polysulfide metathesis and polysulfide-thiol exchange, enabling their rapid stress relaxation, self-healing, reprocessing and degradable properties of the cross-linked polymer. More importantly, the hydroxyl groups at the side chains from epoxide ring opening exhibited potential transesterification. This work provided a facile strategy for designing dynamic sulfur-rich polymers via a mild synthesis route.

Defects engineering is an effective strategy for manipulating electromagnetic parameters and enhancing electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption ***,the relationship between them is not clear,especially in solid solution *** this work,a series of(Cr_(1.x)V_(x))_(2)AlC MAX phase solid solutions with layered structure were prepared via tuning the ratio of Cr and V to explore their EMW absorption *** experimental results indicated that the doping of V atoms at the M-site could effectively regulate its impedance matching and EMW absorption properties by introducing appropriate numbers of defects in the crystal,such as twin boundaries,dislocations and lattice *** them,if Cr:V=3:1.Cr_(1.5)V_(0.5)AlC,as radar absorption materials,could reach a strong reflection loss of-51.8 dB at the frequency of 1..8 GHz under an ultra-thin thickness of 1.3 *** reflection loss value could attain-1. dB in a wide frequency range of 2.7-1. GHz and thickness range of 1.5 *** addition,after high temperature and acid-alkali immersion treatment,this sample still had good EMW absorption capability,and the effective absorption bandwidth was enhanced from 2.3 to 2.6 GHz after concentrated acid immersion or 3.1.GHz after concentrated alkali *** work has great reference significance for the research and development of high-performance MAX-based EMW absorption materials in harsh environments.

Microvascular structural changes in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma pathology according to intrapapillary capillary loop types under magnifying endoscopy

The formation of LiOH as the discharge product instead of Li_(2)O_(2)in Li-O_(2)batteries(LOBs)is highly desirable due to the associated drawbacks of Li_(2)O_(2)-based chemistry,which involves the generation of reactive oxygen intermediates responsible for substantial side ***,the current challenge lies in the formation pathway of LiOH,which typically requires the chemical hydrolysis of the hazardous LiO_(2)or Li_(2)O_(2)intermediate,posing risks to the battery ***,we report a direct 4e–electrochemical approach to LiOH enabled by a single atom catalyst(SAC)consisting of CoN_(3)moieties embedded in graphene(CoN_(3)-G),while Li_(2)O_(2)is formed on the metal-free nitrogen-doped graphene(NG).The direct 4e–LiOH pathway significantly reduces the parasitic reactions,resulting in negligible damage to the electrolyte and *** stands in strong contrast to the conventional 2e–Li_(2)O_(2)pathway mediated by NG and the indirect LiOH pathway by MnO_(2).Theoretical calculations further clarify that the presence of CoN_(3)sites enhances the adsorption of oxygen-containing intermediates like*OLiO and*Li_(2)O_(2),promoting the protonation of*Li_(2)O_(2)and the cleavage of the O–O bond to form *** work demonstrates a promising strategy to modulate the reaction pathways in LOBs and broadens the applications of SACs.

Metal-to-insulator transitions in 3d-band correlated oxides containing Fe compositions

Metal-to-insulator transitions (MITs),which are achieved in 3d-band correlated transitional metal oxides,trigger abrupt variations in electrical,optical,and/or magnetic properties beyond those of conventional *** such material families,iron(Fe:3d^(6)4s^(2))-containing oxides pique interest owing to their widely tunable MIT properties,which are associated with the various valence states of *** potential electronic applications also show promise,given the large abundance of Fe on *** MIT properties triggered by critical temperature (TMIT) were reported for ReFe_(2)O_(4)(Fe^(2.5+)),ReBaFe_(2)O_(5)(Fe^(2.5+)),Fe_(3)O_(4)(Fe^(2.67+)),Re_(1.3)Sr_(2/3)FeO_(3)(Fe^(3.67+)),Re Cu_(3)Fe_(4)O_(1.)(Fe^(3.75+)),and Ca_(1.x)Sr_(x)FeO_(3)(Fe^(4+))(where Re represents rare-earth elements).The common feature of MITs of these Fe-containing oxides is that they are usually accompanied by charge ordering transitions or disproportionation associated with the valence states of ***,we review the material family of Fe-containing MIT oxides,their MIT functionalities,and their respective *** the perspective of potentially correlated electronic applications,the tunability of the TMITand its resultant resistive change in Fe-containing oxides are summarized and further compared with those of other materials exhibiting MIT *** particular,we highlight the abrupt MIT and wide tunability of TMITof Fe-containing quadruple perovskites,such as Re ***,their effective material synthesis still needs to be further explored to cater to potential applications.

Clean production of lactic acid by selective carbon-carbon bond cleavage of biomass feedstock over a novel carbon-bismuth oxychloride photocatalyst

Triple signal amplification electrochemical sensing platform for Hg^(2+) in water without direct modification of the working electrode

An ultrasensitive electrochemical biosensor to detect trace Hg^(2+)in environmental samples was developed utilizing nanogold-decorated magnetic reduced graphene oxide(MrGO-AuNPs),exonuclease III-assisted target cycle(Exo Ⅲ-ATC)and hybridization chain reaction(HCR)synergistic triple signal *** MrGO-AuNPs is a superior carrier for capture DNA(cDNA)and acts as magnetic media for automatic separation and *** innovative utilization of the magnetism and improved sensing efficiency obviates the need for direct modification and repeated polishing of the working ***,the three DNA hairpins(cDNA,methylene blue(MB)labeled HP1.and HP2)further contribute to biosensor specificity and *** cDNA captures Hgt,it activates Exo Ⅲ-ATC due to the formation of a sticky end in the DNA stem via thymine-Hig-thymidine(T-Hg^(2+)-T),this leads to the hydrolysis of self-folded DNA by Exo Ⅲ-ATC to form"key"DNA(kDNA).The kDNA subsequently initiates HCR,resulting in massive super-sandwich structures(kDNA-[HP1.HP2])carrying signaling molecules on MrGO-AuNPs,and this overall structure serves as a signal probe(SP).Leveraging magnetic adsorption,the SP was automatically adsorbed onto the magneto-glass carbon electrode(MGCE),generating an amplified *** biosensor's detection limit(LOD)was 3.1. pmol/L,far below the limit of 1. nmol/L for mercury in drinking water set by the US *** biosensor also showed excellent selectivity when challenged by interfering ions,and the results of its application in actual samples indicate that it has good potential for practical applications in environmental monitoring.

Tumor cells establish a robust self-defense system characterized by hypoxia,antioxidant overexpression,DNA damage repair,and so forth to resist *** one of these features is insufficient to overcome radioresistance due to the feedback mechanisms initiated by tumor cells under ***,we herein developed an engineering biomimetic nanosystem(M@HHPt)masked with tumor cell membranes and loaded with a hybridized protein-based nanoparticle carrying oxygens(O_(2))and cisplatin prodrugs(Pt(Ⅳ))to target multiple tumor radioresistance hallmarks for enhanced *** administration,M@HHPt actively targeted and smoothly accumulated in tumor cells by virtue of its innate homing abilities to realize efficient co-delivery of O_(2)and Pt(Ⅳ).O_(2)introduction induced hypoxia alleviation cooperated with Pt(Ⅳ)reduction caused glutathione consumption greatly amplified radiotherapy-ignited cellular oxidative ***,the released cisplatin effectively hindered DNA damage repair by crosslinking with radiotherapy-produced DNA ***,M@HHPt-sensitized radiotherapy significantly suppressed the proliferation of lung cancer H1.75 cells with an extremely high sensitizer enhancement ratio of 1.91.and the progression of H1.75 tumor models with an excellent tumor inhibition rate of 94.7%.Overall,this work provided a feasible strategy for tumor radiosensitization by overcoming multiple radioresistance mechanisms.
