The objective was to examine the effects of optimal leaf nitrogen levels>2.0%and suboptimal levels<2.0%,nitrogen nutrition on net photo synthetic rate,stem diameter increment,height growth increment and acorn mass of pedunculate oak during 2010 in the absence of drought stress and during 2011 under the impact of moderate drought *** to the results,moderate drought stress significantly reduced net photo synthetic rate,stem diameter increment and height growth increment,while acorn mass was not *** nitrogen nutrition significantly reduced the net photo synthetic rate and stem diameter increment only in the wet year,acorn mass in both wet and dry years,while height growth increment was not significantly reduced by suboptimal nitrogen nutrition in either *** results indicate that optimal nitrogen levels can stimulate photo synthetic rate and stem diameter increment of pedunculate oak only in the absence of moderate drought ***,the results show that moderate drought stress is a more dominant stressor for photosynthesis and growth of pedunculate oak than suboptimal nitrogen nutrition,while for acorn development,it is the more dominant stressor.

MXenes,a novel class of 2D transition metal carbides and nitrides,have recently emerged as a promising candidate in the quest for efficient catalysts for the hydrogen evolution *** enhance the performance of 2D MXenes with modest or poor catalytic efficiency,a particularly prosperous strategy involves doping with transition and noble metal *** the Nb_(4)C_(3)O_(2) monolayer as a model,we explore substitutional metallic impurities,which serve as single-atom catalysts embedded within the Nb_(4)C_(3)O_(2) *** findings demonstrate the ability to finely tune the atomic H binding energy within a 0.6 eV range,showing the potential for precise control in catalytic *** different transition and noble metals,the single atoms integrated into Nb_(4)C_(3)O_(2) effectively adjust the free energy of H adsorption at nearby O atoms,achieving values comparable to or superior to Pt catalysts.A comprehensive examination of the electronic properties around the impurities reveals a correlation between changes in local reactivity and charge transfer to neighboring O atoms,where H atoms bind.

Using high pressure as a processing tool can overcome the legal limitations for solvent residues and restrictions on the use of conventional solvents in chemical ***,particulate products can also be achieved by means of supercritical fluid(SCF)*** contribution will give a limited overview of applications of subcritical fluid and SCF and will present the energy savings compared with conventional production *** these qualities,SCFs could certainly be applied as a replacement for conventional solvents in extractive and non-extractive processes,as a nontoxic,inexpensive,non-flammable,and non-polluting *** applications,such as high pressure sterilization,jet-cutting,thin film deposition for microelectronics,and the separation of value-added products from fermentation broths in the biotechnology field,have been developed on an industrial scale to produce marketable food products.

The Impact of Fabric Weave and Anisotropy on the Poisson’s Ratio in Technical Fabrics

Poisson’s ratio changes during the tensile stress of technical fabric samples due to the anisotropy of technical *** paper examines the effects of the type of weave and the anisotropic characteristics of the technical fabric on maximum tensile force,corresponding elongation,work-to-maximum force,elasticity modulus,and Poisson’s ratio when axial tensile forces are applied to samples cut at various angles in the direction of the weft yarns of the technical *** the lab,3 cotton fabric samples of constant warp and weft density with different structural weave types(plain weave,twill weave,atlas weave)were subjected to the tensile force until they broke at the following angles:0°,15°,30°,45°,60°,75°,90°.Based on the different measured values of technical fabric stretching in the longitudinal direction and lateral narrowing,Poisson’s ratio is *** Poisson’s ratio was calculated up to a relative elongation of the fabric of 8%,as the buckling of the fabric occurs according to this elongation *** to the results presented in this paper,the type of weave of the fabric,the direction of tensile force,and the relative narrowing of the technical fabrics all play important roles in the Poisson’s ratio *** Poisson’s ratio curve of a technical fabric under tensile stress(***)is primarily determined by its behaviour in the opposite direction of the *** change in the value of the Poisson’s ratio is represented by a graph that first increases nonlinearly and then decreases after reaching its maximum value.

Eocene Weathering Oscillations Imprinted in Marl Mineral and Geochemical Record(Dinaric Foreland Basin， Croatia)

In the Dinaric Foreland Basin (northern margin of Neotethys， Croatia)， in the foredeep/basinal area， pelitic hemipelagic/pelagic (H/P) deposits (marls) were deposited during Middle to Late Eocene. Syn-sedimentary tectonic movements， paleogeographic position and exchanges of short-lived hyperthermal episodes affected the sedimentation and related mineral and geochemical record of these deposits. Mineral (clay) assemblage carries signature of prevailing physical weathering with significant illite and chlorite content， but climatic seasonality is suggested by smectite-interlayered phases and sporadical increase of kaolinite content. Illite crystallinity varies significantly， and the lowest crystallinity is recorded for the Lutetian samples. Illite chemistry index is always bellow 0.5 being characteristic for Fe-Mg-rich illite. The geochemical records are the most prominent (CIA up to 76， CIW up to 91) for the Istrian Lutetian (42.3–40.5 Ma)， but also for Priabonian (35.8–34.3 Ma) samples of Hvar Island. The ICV values (the lowest 1.40 and the highest 10.85) of all studied samples fall above PAAS (ICV = 0.85) and point to their chemical immaturity. The Ga/Rb ratios are lower than 0.2 and K2O/Al2O3ratios are also low (0.16–0.22)， implying transition between cold and dry， and warm and humid climate， obviously trending among several warming episodes.
