＜正＞ A formulation is presented for the stress and displacement analysis of a honeycomb sandwich structure with a chord-wise taper. A special eight-node isoparametric quadrilateral laminated element is introduced in the finite element analysis. Finite element investigation for a honeycomb wing of ultra-light aircraft with chord-wise taper is carried out and the taper effect is shown on the numerical results obtained.

＜正＞ Recently, shape memory polymer （SMP） as one of functional materials has received much attention and its mechanical properties have been investigated. Shape memory polymer of polyurethane series has the glass transition temperature （Tg） around the room temperature. According to the large change in modulus of elasticity above and below Tg, the SMP material has excellent shape memory effect. In this study, the glass fiber reinforced shape memory polymer was developed for the improvement of the mechanical weakness of SMP bulk and for wider applications. It was clear that the improvement of the resistance to creep and cyclic loading in the composites with SMP was obtained due to reinforcement fiber.

＜正＞ Dense W-Mo composites with different weight tractions of W and Mo were prepared at the temperature of 1473K by Spark Plasma Sintering technique. The transverse and longitudinal wave velocities of the samples were accurately measured using the ultrasonic pulse echo overlap method, and the wave impedance values of the samples were obtained. The W-Mo composite can be regarded as a mechanical mixture system, and the ideal mixture model was adopted to estimate the wave impedance of W-Mo composites. Comparisons with the experimental data demonstrate that the suggested model is sufficiently accurate to predict the wave impedance of W-Mo composites.

＜正＞Although the comparison between experimental findings and analytical predictions of sound insulation for single panel and composite materials sandwich plates have been conducted by several researchers, this is far insufficiency to clarify the complicated acoustic propagation mechanism of composite materials due to reflection, transmission, dispersion and other acoustic behavior. In this paper, to improve the acoustic insulation of composite materials, the simulations of acoustic propagation was conducted and acoustic transmission loss characteristics of thin panels are presented. The complicated acoustic propagation process resulted from transmission and refraction was visualized, and the influence of dif-ferent fillers was discussed.

＜正＞ Fiber reinforced polymer or fiber reinforced plastic （FRP） composites have been increasingly used as an externally adhesive-bonded reinforcement in the repair and strengthening of the deteriorated civil infrastructure. For such bonding techniques. FRP strengthening effect is significantly dependent on the performance of adhesive layer and the brittle behavior. To speed up the application of such innovative bonding technique in the structural rehabilitation industry, it is necessary to establish a rational evaluation/design method for such kind of failure and develop more effective strengthening method. This paper gives a comprehensive state-of-the-art review of recent achievements in bonding/debonding mechanisms, evaluation/design methodology for predicting debonding failure caused by intermediate flexural cracks of concrete and effective FRP applications for structural rehabilitation First, a thorough understanding of the intertacial fractures is presented from both microscopic and macroscopic viewpoints. Then based on the experimental investigations, analytical analyses and numerical simulations an energy-based methodology is proposed for evaluating the performance of bonding capacity of FRP-strengthened structures. Finally, to make full advantage of the mechanical properties of FRP. research efforts on various applications of FRP such as the uses of prestressed FRP sheets and hybrid fibers are reviewed in detail.

＜正＞ Aluminum borate （Al18B4O33） whisker reinforced ZK60 （Mg-Zn-Zr） and AZ91D （Mg-AI-Zn） magnesium alloy composites were manufactured by squeeze casting. Solution heat treated ZK60 and AZ91D matrix composites were aged at 403K and 443K, respectively. As aging progressed isothermally, both ZK60 monolithic and composite have good aging ability and its hardness decrease gradually after peak aging. While the hardness of AZ91D alloy and composite reached the peak, it would scarcely decrease. Time to reach the peak hardness of composites was shorter than that of monolithic alloy. The increments of hardness of both alloy and composite by aging were approximately duplicated. The precipitate behaviors in ZK60 alloy and composite were β1 （MgZn2）→β2"（MgZn2） →β（Mg2Zn3）. In AZ91D composite only continuous precipitate phase p（Mg17Al12） was observed. After solution heat treatment, the effects of interfacial reactions precipitates were negligible in ZK60 and AZ91D composites.
