Human gender and age recognition is an emerging application for intelligent video ***,offline pretrained recognition models often show degraded performance in a specific application *** alleviate this issue,this paper presents a client-server system design adapting gender and age recognition models for mobile ***,the client program on Android smart phones streams face images to a cloud computing service where the recognition models based on convolutional neural networks are adapted leveraging the face correspondences in successive frames as weak *** prototype system demonstrates the proposed design effectively reduces estimation variances and enhances user experiences.

Shadows in images always cause problems to computer visual tasks,so how to remove shadow is an important topic of image *** this paper,we propose a new shadow removal method based on Retinex *** firstly use the gradient edge detection combined with 1-D illumination invariant image to detect the shadow area,then remove the shadow with Retinex algorithm,finally adjust the brightness of the shadow *** transforming the RGB image into HSV space,we compute the average brightness of the non-shadow area in original image and shadow-free image,adjust the brightness of the image to coordinate with the original *** experiment results show that our method can provide a good effect in shadow images.

This paper describes a novel object-tracking algorithm by classifying the pixels in a search area into "target" and "background" with K-means clustering *** improvements are made to the conventional K-means tracker to solve the instability problem that occurs when some background objects show similar colors to the target or the size of the target object changes *** first one is introducing of the depth information as the sixth feature into the original 5D feature space for describing *** second one is to use Mahalanobis distance in order to keep the balance between color and position when evaluating the difference between ***-means Tracker can track non-rigid object and wired object at video *** effectiveness was confirmed through several comparison experiments.

Traffic flow detection plays an important role in intelligent Transportation Systems（ITS）.Video based traffic flow detection system is the most widely used strategy in *** this circumstance,we design and implement a video based traffic flow detection system which is called MyTD in this *** takes advantages of both shadow removal and optical flow ***,we introduce the current development of ITS and focus on the video based traffic detection technology,which is the key to ***,a shadow removal algorithm combining information in both RGB and HSV color spaces is ***,based on the Iterative Pyramidal LK Optical Flow Algorithm,a vehicle tracking function is realized by OpenCV,as well as a Connected Components Labeling function and the vehicle counting ***,MyTD is implemented and tested based on the algorithm presented *** results show the outstanding performance of our method comparing with traditional optical flow algorithms.
