This paper presents new modified QAM modem that operates at data rate of 9.6kb/s to be transmitted over Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation （ADPCM）.The purpose of this modified QAM modem is to reduce the nonlinear distortion introduced by *** performance of ADPCM is studied considering the standard QAM modem and modified QAM *** simulation results show that the performance of ADPCM with modified QAM is better than its performance with standard QAM modem.

The Von Neumann model has been used as a basis for sequential computation for *** is widely accepted that high performance computation is better achieved using parallel architectures and is seen as the basis for future computational architectures with the ever increasing need for high performance *** describe a new model of parallel computation known as the Arithmetic Deduction Model （AriDeM） which has some similarities with the Von Neumann.A theoretical evaluation of the model is performed using matrix multiplication and compared with the Von Neumann *** results indicate AriDeM to be more efficient in resources utilization.

Mobile WiMAX is based on orthogonal frequency division multiple access ***,therefore,inherited the frequency and timing offset problems which contribute to the loss of the transmitted *** overcome these problems,the transmitter and receiver must be well *** paper addresses the Mobile Wimax concept and introduces synchronization algorithms for frequency,timing acquisition,and cell *** algorithms have been simulated under adaptive white Gaussian noise and fading channel for different values of signal to noise *** simulation results obtained show that most of the errors have been successfully illuminated.

A cross traffic estimator is proposed based on the loss ratio of probe packets. This method aims to estimate the future networks’ available bandwidth such as optical switching networks. In these networks, node’s processing time other than tight link becomes the bottleneck. And most popular estimate techniques neglect it. Scheme proposed by paper injects probe packet to networks. Probe traffic intensity and drop ratio are collected and is fitted according to 1st order ordinary least squares algorithm which uses former as dependent variable and latter as independent variable. Then the intercept difference between fitted line and empirical line is just the cross traffic. Simulation shows that our scheme can obtain the bottleneck node cross traffic moderately and outperforms the minimal backlogging algorithm which is also based M/G/1 model.

Fast convergecast is a critical functionality for wireless networks deployed for industrial monitoring and *** address the time-and channel-optimal link scheduling problem for convergecast in multi-line networks,operating according to the recent WirelessHART *** first establish the lower bound on convergecast time and the lower bound on the number of channels for time-optimal *** we present optimal scheduling policy for time-optimal convergecast and near-optimal policy for jointly time-and channel-optimal *** and simulation results show that our scheme can provide fast convergecast in WirelessHART networks.

Far from the traditional network, delay-tolerant network (DTN) is a new kind of network derived by deep space communication. As congestion control is an important factor that directly affects network performance, development of DTN must rely on the perfect congestion control mechanism to ensure reliability, stability, and extensiveness of the network. If TCP widely used as core protocol in Internet is directly used in DTN, it could appear a series of problems such as fairness, stability and throughput rate, etc. Meanwhile, in order to enhance the reliability of data delivery in such challenging network, researchers have proposed the use of custody transfer protocols, which produces a lot of copies in network and sometimes even aggravates congestion in DTN. This paper shows some limitations of TCP directly applied in DTN, some undesirable effects of custody transfer, and survey of four kinds of distinctive congestion management in DTN.

Before zigbee most of the wireless protocols and standards were develop for high date rate and higher bandwidth and there were no considerations on the power consumption as the application needed to support longer distances and speed but this kind of technology was not efficient when the data which needed to be transmitted was of very small size and the distance was also not very *** solution could have been the use of Bluetooth but because of its greater joining time and more power consumption as compared with zigbee it was not *** will use zigbee modules for transmitting data between two cell phones that are presently located in a pan that will eliminate the use of GSM （Global System for Mobile communications）provider and hence cut the cost that is associated with it.
