Identification and Analysis of WRKY Transcription Factors in Response to Cowpea Fusarium Wilt in Cowpea

摘 要:In plant,WRKY transcription factors play a crucial role in plant growth,development,and response to abioticand ***(Vigna unguiculata) is an important legume ***,cowpea Fusarium wilt(CFW),caused by Fusarium oxysporum ***(Fot),poses a serious threat to its *** this study,we systematically identified members of the cowpea WRKY(VuWRKY) gene family and analyzed their expression patterns under cowpea wilt disease *** results revealed that a total of 91 WRKY transcription factors were identified in cowpea genome,and VuWRKY genes can be classed into three groups based on their conserved WRKY *** synteny analysis indicated that the expansion of VuWRKY genes in cowpea is mainly dependent on recent duplication *** data from cowpea roots inoculated with Fo showed differential expression in 31 VuWRKY genes,with 27 upregulated and 4 downregulated genes,indicating their significant role in the cowpea response to CFW *** selected differentially-expressed WRKY genes were used for downstream functional *** localization revealed that all four VuWRKY genes were localized in the cell *** blot analysis demonstrated successful expression of these genes in *** ***,yeast one-hybrid assays indicated that VuWRKY2 can bind to the promoter region of the Catalase(CAT) gene,suggesting their potential involvement in transcriptional *** study establishes a foundation for further exploration of the role and regulatory mechanisms of VuWRKY genes in response to CFW stress.
