摘 要:Cryptosporidium baileyi is an important zoonotic pathogen causing serious respiratory symptoms in chickens, but no effective measures are available to control *** ***,increasing evidence indicates the novelty and usefulness of metabolomics to understand interaction between pathogens and hosts, and to search new diagnostic or pharmacological biomarkers of complex *** present study aimed to reveal the impact of *** infection on the serum metabolism of chickens, and to search several metabolites as potential diagnostic biomarkers for *** *** the present study, the ultra performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS) and subsequent multivariate statistical analysis were applied to investigate the metabolomics profiles in the serum samples of chickens infected with ***,and to identify potential metabolites that can be used to distinguish chickens infected with *** from non-infected *** statistics identified 138 differential serum metabolites between mock and infected chickens at 5 days post infection(dpi),including 115 up-regulated and 23 down-regulated *** metabolites were significantly enriched into 6 pathways, and 2 pathways associated with energy and lipid metabolism were the most enriched, namely glycerophospholipid metabolism and sphingolipid ***,some important immune-related pathways were also significantly enriched, including intestinal immune network for IgA production, autophagy, and cellular ***,9 potential *** responsive metabolites were identified, including choline,sirolimus,all-trans-Retinoic acid,PC(14:0/22:1(13 Z)),PC(15:0/22:6(4 Z,7 Z,10 Z,13 Z,16 Z,19 Z)),PE(16:1(9 Z)/24:1(15 Z)),phosphocholine,SM(d18:0/16:1(9 Z)(OH)) and *** is the first report on serum metabolic profilings of chickens during *** early infection, and the findings in the present study provide novel insights for revealing pathop
