摘 要:As an active intracontinental orogenic belt in Asia, the Tien Shan is a natural laboratory to study the mechanisms of the large-scale mountain building. The crustal shorting, intracontinental subduction or underthrusting models and some other dynamic models have been proposed to interpret the mountain building mechanisms in previous studies(e.g., Abdrakhmatov et al., 1996;Gao et al., 2013;Gilligan et al., 2014). However, the dynamics of tectonic rejuvenation of the Tien Shan have been controversial in recent decades, and still remain unclear so far.
