New Isomeric porphyrin molecules conjugated with naphthalimide derivatives for photocatalytic H2 evolution

摘 要:We have designed and synthesized a new array of push-pull isomeric naphthalimide-porphyrins Zn T(o-NI)PP,Zn T(m-NI)PP,Zn T(P-NI)PP by integration of four naphthalimide moieties on meso-substituion of porphyrin macrocycle through para/meta/ortho phenyl *** these isomers were employed as photosensitizers for the photocatalytic hydrogen production,they delivered high hydrogen production rate(ηH) compared to that of Zn *** the isomers,Zn T(P-NI)PP exhibited 139 times higher ηH2 than the Zn *** could be ascribed to the efficient exciton dissociation into holes and electrons at the photoexcited state of Zn T(P-NI)PP and then electrons were transferred to the proton through *** results indicate that introduction of naphthalimide at meso-position of porphyrin through para phenyl linker is a versatile strategy to improve the PHE of porphyrin based materials.
