Large-scale Synthesis of Efficient CO2 Reduction Membrane Catalyst for Industrial Applications

摘      要:Single atom catalysts show great promise for achieving high efficiency and selectivity in the CO RR process. Herein, we found for the first time that single Ni sites exhibited excellent activity and selectivity for the CO RR. We successfully synthesize a hierarchical, self-supported, flexible, and programmable catalyst through a solid-state diffusion strategy. This catalyst can be directly used as a binder-free electrode and exhibits superb catalytic CO electroreduction performance. Directly synthesized by bulk metal foil, this catalyst is scalable to meet the industrial demand. In our work, Ni SAs/N-C has been successfully synthesized by ionic exchange of Zn nodes and adsorbed Ni salts. Compared with Ni NPs and Ni foam, Ni SAs are capable of selectively reducing CO with excellent current density and FE. Then, we prepared a hierarchical, self-supported, flexible, and programmable H-CPs catalyst containing abundant single Ni sites by a solid-state diffusion between the loose N-doped carbon phase and a compact bulk Ni metal. This approach shed light to the construction of efficient and stable catalyst directly from the non-precious bulk materials and show great promise for industrial-scale production.
