摘      要:Angiosperms(flowering plants) are the most diverse and species-rich groups of plants,yet the relationships of the five divergent groups of the Mesangiospermae(~99.95% of extant angiosperms) and its evolutionary timeline have been a subject of long *** we infer the angiosperm phylogeny and divergence times of major lineages by analyzing 3577 nuclear genes in 142 species,covering all or most orders of eudicots,monocots,magnoliids,Chloranthaceae and *** phylogeny corroborates some earlier inferences and provides novel insights,in particular within *** find sisterhood of Chloranthaceae and a clade containing eudicots and Ceratophyllaceae,and these three lineages form sister group to magnoliids + *** timescale of angiosperm evolution reveal that the crown-angiosperms originated approximately 222.92 million years ago(Ma) ±25 million years,and Mesangiospermae diversified into five groups in a short time span(~9 Ma) at the Late *** 80% of angiosperm orders appear in the Cretaceous accompanying the long-lasting humid temperate environment,which provided new external conditions for further expansive diversification within Mesangiospermae.
