New Application of 3,4-Dihalo-2(5H)-furanone Derivatives in Catalyst-free Three-component Reaction for the Synthesis of Arylsulfonyl Dihalomethanes

摘 要:Molecules possessing 2(5 H)-furanone moiety are receiving increasing attention due to the significant biological activities,such as antifungal,antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,and anticancer.1 At the same time,many 3,4-dihalo-2(5 H)-furanone compounds are important synthons in organic synthesis and material preparation.2 Recently,we found a new catalyst-free three-component reaction for the preparation of important compounds arylsulfonyl dibromomethanes without the needs of anaerobic atmosphere from sodium arylsulfinate 1,3,4-dibromo-5-hydroxy-2(5 H)-furanone 3(X = Br,R = OH) and solvent DMSO(2).3 Herein,we further found that other 3,4-dihalo-2(5 H)-furanone derivatives 3 also could take part in this mild metal-free three-component reaction to synthesize arylsulfonyl dihalomethanes ***,the yields were affected by 5-position functional group slightly while halogen kinds seriously.
