A new early maturing soybean varieties for irrigated and rainfed farming in Sudan

摘 要：Soybean[Glycine max(L.) Merr.]production in Sudan relies on two late maturing released varieties,which may limit the expansion of the crop into irrigated and rainfed *** of early maturing soybean varieties with high-yielding is a target for soybean breeding program in Agricultural Research Corporation(ARC),*** selected promiscuous soybean varieties introduced from International Institute of Tropical Agriculture(IITA) were evaluated in eight environments in Wad Medani,Kenana and Damazin from 2014 to *** 1 and Sudan 2 varieties were used as *** trials were arranged at a randomized complete block design with four ***-row plots,10 m in long and 80 cm apart,were *** were collected on days to 50%flowering,days to maturity,plant height(cm),height to first pod(cm),grain yield(kg/ha),fodder yield(kg/ha),number of pods/plant and 100-seed weight(g).Grain quality analysis was performed for oil and protein *** of variance and stability analysis for grain yield were carried out with SAS version 9.1(SAS Institute 2003).Grain yield(kg/ha) was significantly(P 0.001) affected by environment,variety and variety x environment *** eight environment days to maturity and grain yield(kg/ha) ranged from 99-121 days and from 1588-2395 kg/ha,*** best grain yield at Wad Medani and Kenana were from the late maturing varieties Sudan 1(3026 and 2938 kg/ha) and Sudan 2(2964 and 2827 kg/ha) followed by TGx-1485-lD(2862 and 2726 kg/ha),*** the best grain yield at Damazin were from the early maturing varieties Soya04 and TGx-1835-10 E(1482 and 1462 kg/ha) followed by the late maturing varieties Sudan 1 and Sudan 2(1403 and 1362 kg/ha),***,Soya04 matured 15 and 14 days earlier than check varieties Sudan 1 and Sudan 2,respectively,while TGx-1835-10 E matured 22 and 21 days earlier than check varieties Sudan 1 and Sudan 2,***,Soya04 and TGx-1835-10 E
