Plasma secreted frizzled-related protein 5（SFRP5） levels in obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome

摘 要：Background:Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome（OSAHS）is closely associated with obesity,inflammation and insulin *** frizzled-related protein 5（SFRP5）is a recently discovered adipokine,which is involved in inflammation and insulin resistance in *** study aim to evaluate levels of plasma SFRP5 in overweighted or obese（Body mass index,BMI24kg/m2）OSAHS patients and examine their potential correlation with sleep characteristics and several biochemical ***:Adult male nondiabetic patients with OSAHS（Apnea Hypopnea Index,AHI15/h,n=35）and controls（AHI5/h,n=20）,examined with polysomnography,underwent a biochemical analysis to estimate fasting blood glucose,lipid profile,and hypersensitive C-reactive *** the plasma SFRP5 concentrations were also determined after nasal continuous positive airway pressure（nCPAP）***:The two groups were matched for age and *** OSAHS patients,SFRP5 levels correlated positively with triglyceride levels（r=0.490,p=0.003）and negatively with LDL cholesterol levels and HDL cholesterol levels（r=-0.580 and p0.001;r=-0.423 and p=0.011;respectively）.However,no association was found between visfatin levels and fast bloodglucose,AHI or nocturnal hypoxia *** SFRP5 levels didn’t have significantly change after overnight nCPAP treatment as well（P=0.148）.Conclusions:In nondiabetic OSAHS patients,SFPR5 levels are associated with lipid ***,there is no correlation between SFRP5 and fast blood glucose（FBG）,sleep architecture or nocturnal hypoxia.
