A New Method to Reduce Gain without Affecting Antenna Efficiency for Terminal Applications at DCS/PCS Band

摘 要：A common challenge of WAN antenna design in handheld device is to reduce peak gain to meet FCC requirement like EIRP（equivalent isotropic radiated power） without affecting antenna *** this paper we proposed a new idea of designing an IFA shape counterpoise（CP） located close to the main antenna where the current density is high at cellar 1800 *** and measurement results showed that CP has almost no effects to the antenna efficiency but drops gain over1 dB.
