摘      要:Sheath blight(SB) is one of the three most serious diseases,which leads to severe grain loss *** resistance to SB disease is a typical of quantitative trait controlled by polygenes or quantitative trait loci(QTLs).Lots of QTLs for SB resistance have been reported while none of them was isolated so far,which significantly hinders the elucidation of resistant ***,we have mapped an SB resistance QTL on chromosome 11 into a 78 kb region,in which the resistant allele(here after called qSB-11) is from Lemont(LE).Here,through a series of experiments like RNA interference,overexpression and complementation tests,we confirmed that a receptor-like protein lack of intracellular domain in the fine mapping region is ***-PCR data showed that qSB-lltranscription was significantly induced by SB pathogen Rhizoctonia solani but not by rice blight pathogen *** qSB-11is highly expressed in leaf sheath at the booting *** localization assay indicated that qSB-11protein localizes in both nucleus and *** the treatments of known pathogen associated molecular patterns(PAMPs),chitin and fig22,we found that knock down of qSB-11significantly affected rice innate immune response to *** known receptor/co-receptor like kinase proteins were found no interaction with qSB-11protein in *** the infection of SB fungus,the synthesis of hormone ethylene(ET) was apparently induced in wild plants,while it was only weakly increased in qSB-11RNAi plants as well as in susceptible near isogenic line(NIL).Spray of ET was able to recover the resistance phenotype of qSB-11 RNAi and NIL ***,we conclude that qSB-11is involved in rice early immune response to SB fungus and regulates ET synthesis upon SB pathogen infection to activate ET-dependent defense response.
