摘 要:Transplantation for type 1 diabetes is severely limited by the lack of donor islets and by the rapid destruction of transplanted islets by innate and adaptive *** transplantation requires desirable engraftment, avoidance of immediate immune barriers, and long term escape from lymphocyte mediated *** clinical applicability of transplantation could be further enhanced by protocols that permit the use of xenogeneic islets as this advance would markedly increase the availability of donor islets to meet the significant *** addition, xenogeneic tolerance induction would substantially improve the study of human islet biology in animal model *** have utilized treatment with the monoclonal antibody against CD45RB to induce permanent acceptance of human islets in murine ***,depletion of B cells permitted universal tolerance induction andthis tolerance was species—specific.
